I like this place. Literally warm (oven in the middle!) and cozy with lots of food to choose from. The beer selection is great and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The Fiya salad is awesome and not like any other I've had before. Great flavors! I also enjoyed the Khachapuri and the variety of dips with warm bread. Their brunch is also very tasty!

We were excited to try Fiya for restaurant week! Service overall was a little slow; however, we enjoyed the Mediterranean ambiance and the delicious mezze and entrées. The Jerusalem platter was a nice starter and all of the food tasted authentic and similar to dishes we had in Turkey. The only disappointment was the delivery of one of our four entrées which arrived 12 minutes after the others. We were halfway done with our entrées when our fourth guest's dish arrived. We didn't receive an apology from the Manager or offer to discount the late entrée which would have been a nice touch. A plus was the availability street parking in front of the restaurant.

Had high hopes but weh weh weh...total disappointment. Had the hummus and it was odd tasting. It had Indian spices (curry) and a had boiled egg. Yuck. The fresh pita bread was tasteless and dry. We also had the baked cauliflower and that too was meh. The two apps were so disappointing that we decided to skip the entree and go elsewhere. Service was good tho so I had to give stars for that but otherwise I don't think we'll be back.

Great happy hour and appetizers special! Happy Hour is 4-6pm M-F. Beers for $5 and natural wines for $8. The food is yummy I had the lamb hot dog and baba ghanoush.

A great, casual restaurant located in Andersonville. The restaurant features Levant food which you can view as a combination of different kinds of Middle Eastern stuff. It was so good that I came there twice during my 6-day visit to Evanston & Chicago! Some of the dishes I tried: 1. Khachapuri. The crust differed much from what I had before. It was thin and somehow tasted like Napoletan pizza crust--crispy outside, moist and airy inside. Inside the Khachapuri they put a cheese blend (feta and somehting), an egg yolk and shakshuka sauce. The shakshuka sauce added some plesant spiciness and sweetness to the dish. 2. Pita: $2.75 for one, a bit expensive. But it tasted amazing. One of the best pita I have ever had. 3. Salad with extra lamb sausage: Very similar to the date salad I make at home, but I suggest that they cut the dates into larger pieces so that its flavor would not be overshadowed by other ingredients in the salad. The lamb sausage looked similar to a chicken patty, but had a unique smell of lamb meat. Service was quick and the servers were friendly. Moreover, the restaurant said customers do not need to pay tips (and paid tips would be shared by all servers)! I will definitely try their more interesting dinner menu next time I visit Chicago!

I really like Fiya because they have so many good vegetarian options to choose from. The restaurant is very cute and vibey, and in the back, there is a huge patio with trees and string lights. There were 4 of us, and we ordered everything to share. We got the salatim, taboon, falafel, and the batata harra. Everything was really really good! The salatim was a lot of food and was a perfect sharing dish, although I liked it so much I would come order this solo as my meal. I think the taboon was my favorite. It was a flatbread and it just had so many fresh herbs and toppings. It's the perfect summer night dish!

This was SUCH a cute find! Went here for a date, and is a perfect spot! Their patio is absolutely adorable and in the back, cosy and intimate. (It was just too hot so not outside for me :) Service was STELLAR. I was SO early and the server just let me hang, was kind and kept checking on me (it wasn't super busy or I wouldn't have sat) Order a non alcoholic drink that came looking SO lovely, which we love, because why should non alcoholic not be fun? And anything with lavender is a win in my book. Order the hummus and since I can't have bread they brought me a GIANT extra plate of cucumber, and then even brought some extra pita for my friend :) Had a salmon and tomato dish that was so so flavorful, and my friend had the lamb leg which she loved. Everything was super delicious and we hung out for such a long time, with no rush or pressure to rush out. Absolutely would go back!!

Back for another happy hour! I got the smoked whitefish beignets after eyeing them on the menu a couple times and curiosity got the best of me. I will say, I wasn't too impressed. They didn't have much flavor and were quite dense. I think they could benefit from more of the cream sauce on top. That won't stop me from coming back, I will just make a different food choice next time

Fiya's Restaurant Week menu is one of the best out there. Especially on a Friday night, surrounded by friends, in an igloo, and an accompanying wine pairing with each course. For our first course, we were brought housemade Pita Bread made in the wood oven in the center of the restaurant. This bread came with a housemade Hummus, and several dips like Harissa, Baba Ganoush, and Garlic Tahina. All of which was amazing, but the Tahina, Pita, and Hummus were next level. Second course was a salad with an extremely flavorful fig vinaigrette. Course 3 and 4 were the largest of the meal, with Khachapuri serving as the third course. This was the most memorable of the dishes for me in that it was a bread and cheese boat filled with Shakshuka and a runny eye. It was incredible. The flavors melded in a way that I will absolutely be coming back to Fiya for this dish specifically. We were then brought out our three entrees, which were: Moroccan Salmon, a half Chicken, a Feta-Topped Cauliflower head, and Mashed Potatoes. I am not even a salmon person, but it came served in a red sauce and I loved it. The Chicken was crispy and juicy in all the right places and had great dipping sauces. Both the cauliflower and mashed potatoes were seasoned well too! Dessert was Pavlova and Cheesecake, both of which were not too sweet, and an amazing cap to the full meal. The Cheesecake in particular was a standout. All the wines were perfectly paired and excellent - truly a meal enhancer. Our server and the staff were amazing, constantly checking in on the igloo and letting us hang out a bit as the night grew old. Plates were often shuffled away and each course and wine pairing were brought out relatively quickly after finishing the prior ones. I can't wait to share a meal out on the patio this summer! If you can get your hands on an igloo res while it's still cold out, do it! Totally enhanced the experience of the evening.

They have a back patio! Service was outstanding. We had a group of 6 and tried so much. Get the platter, fries were delicious. Everyone ordered something different and it was all high quality ingredients and very tasty. The breads were the standout. I could have sat and had fresh fired pita abs hummus the whole time. Don't skip their Seasonal drinks.

Fiya is one of my new favorite restaurants!!!! It was SO GOOD. The inside is super cute and fun and our service was great. We came for restaurant week, so we tried so many things. The khachapuri was my favorite. It was essentially a bread boat with tomato sauce, feta cheese and an over easy egg inside. All the pita we had was the softest pita i've ever had. You could tell it was homemade, made in a wood oven and was very authentic. The baba ganoush dip that came with it was my favorite. We also got salad, a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and roasted cauliflower. We all loved everything expect the dessert was just okay. Highly recommend Fiya!!!!!

Another great visit to Fiya. This time I ate off the day menu at the bar. Great atmosphere and ambiance and friendly helpful service. The bartender makes a great old fashioned. I had a green pepper gazpacho with dill. Super flavorful and refreshing. I had their version of a Ruben with house cured wagyu pastrami Gruyère sauerkraut Russian dressing on homemade pita. This is just another great experience after having dinner and takeout.

The absinthe mist, despite being just that, has a way of doing that. I want to give some credit to the service. While the bar was shorthanded at the time, the barman on duty did his very best as a one-man show. Can't fault them too much, someone calls out sick last minute, and that's that. However, if there is something I can hold against them it's the heat! I'm not sure why, but the upon coming in, the place was HOT! I ordered the Wolf Burger, which is a whopping three-patty burger. That first bite was juicy and pure bliss--a total explosion of great flavors. It was a little messy (like all burgers with an egg), but the extra liquid was perfect for balancing the density of such a meaty burger. The soft bun soaked in a lot of those juices with each bite, intensifying the flavor as I ate more. The fries were thin and on the greasier side--not my personal favorite, but they worked alright as a vehicle for the sauce. Speaking of which, the chili aioli served with the fries was fantastic. We also got the mac and cheese, which hit a great balance between rich and creamy without feeling excessively wet. The boat it came in was a bit small, making it a little messy to scoop out with the serving spoon, but it was soooo good. Overall, it is absolutely a fantastic neighborhood place for comfort food and drinks with friends in a great space!
