What a fun and educational wine tasting by the lovely, enthusiastic and charming bartender, Crys! Thanks to a really great deal via Groupon, you get tastings of seven different wines: white/red/one brut for two people for $45 including your choice of one white or red bottle to go. You get a card to rate each tasting w emojis, stars or numbers etc. My favorite was the Super Tuscan, as I prefer reds. (other Groupon options available.) This is my fourth wine tasting and it never gets old. I learned a little bit more about wine, wine making, etc. each time. The tasting room is quaint, comfortable clean and it's cool to see the wine barrels in the back creating that luscious liquid lol Many weekend nights offer live music/dancing for extended joviality among new friends. Dogs allowed a big bonus!! Free parking in lot. read more

VIN312 Winery - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Dear Yelpers, Some may say it's the wine talking...but stop #4 on day 3 of the wine tour was easily the best stop of the weekend! We had the pleasure of making it just in time and getting a personal lesson from the founder and wine expert Warner himself. It was basically a free wine tasting class filled with fun stories, interesting facts, and of course, great wine. Personally I was a fan of the Super Tuscan. My wife enjoyed the Cab Franc. But all of us Rosé haters LOVED the Touché Rosé. Talk about a fitting name. The small feel made this place stand out from all the other over-commercialized wineries and truly showed the beauty of unique and complex wines. Not to mention you can't beat the price!! What a great spot!! I can't believe it's taken us this long to go here. The owner is super nice and so is the staff. The wine is also exceptional - we loved the super Tuscan! They also have really cool events throughout each month. Loved it, we'll be back!! read more

Great experience! Amazing wine by a local wine maker. The Tuscan Sun was outstanding! The service was incredible and the winemaker was superb! read more

First time going here for the Cuban Live Salsa band and wine tasting. The bar tender, Crystal (with a C not a K), was wonderful. She made sure we tasted the wines we wanted. Gave suggestions since I didn't know if I liked whites or reds. Highly recommend it. It was a good time. read more

Decided to try out this place after finding it on Groupon. I had a great experience with my tasting. I was able to schedule my tasting right through the Groupon app. The owner is very passionate about his business and he treated all guests well. Sometimes places treat their wine club members better but I was happy this was not the case. The tasting consisted of 5 samples, one of which was a cider. Overall I enjoyed all of the wines. With the Groupon I purchased we also got a bottle. It was a nice experience and didn't feel rushed. Something fun to do. read more

VIN312 Winery - My favorite wine of the tasting - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This adorable little tucked away winery is a can't miss! It's attached to a nice brewery/taproom which is larger but just as cozy. You do need to enter in a side door or through the main taproom/restaurant to get here. Side note- heard the food is delish. Once you enter the winery room you will see it's low lit and warm and friendly. The perfect escape with friends or on a date. There are a few tables and some cozy chairs. They have a great tasting of 4 wines for about $15. At the end you get to state your favorite wine and get a little extra pour of it. Genius! It was so busy when my friends and I went (valentines event). We were warned but fine to be patient. The server took away a wine pour due to the busy atmosphere even though she didn't need to. She was an expert on the wines and I loved the red and rose. Honestly they were all amazing. Great wines and tons of passion behind the business. Go here. It's a delight. read more

VIN312 Winery - Wine tasting and bar in Poor lighting. - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

A fun little place to have a glass of wine! You're literally just a few feet away from where they make, blend, and bottle the wine. We did a Groupon here the other night for a wine tasting and had an amazing time. Madeline, the bartender, thoughtfully explained all of the wines and was very attentive. She couldn't have been nicer or more interesting, a world class bartender. We got lucky and Warner, the wine maker, was there working during our visit and he walked us through some of the process and answered all of our questions. What an unexpected and cool delight! I haven't even touched on the quality of the wines but would truly give every single wine we tasted an enthusiastic thumbs up. This little place knows wine and hospitality, I can't recommend it enough. We will definitely be back! read more

Great the lady. Was nice and knowledgeable. They had a Groupon option so check that out if it's still available when you read this. The wine is dry so if that's not your type of wine don't go. I'm not a dry wine drinker so it was interesting but it's worth a visit read more

VIN312 Winery - Wine - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Great winery with amazing wine. Hidden gem in Chicago a friend and I found when our plans got canceled because of the bad weather.

Such a great "speakeasy" type of spot! We had to ask the restaurant next door how to find it, but it is worth the search! This wine bar is cozy and intimate, with twinkle lights and candles at every table. There are couches and comfy velvet chairs all around, plus plenty of seating at the bar where you can chat with the owner, Warner, who will teach you all about the wine he makes. He was kind enough to give us a tour and show us how he produces his wine while we tasted all of the varietals he has to offer. My partner doesn't usually like whites, but absolutely loved the Viognier! We ended up taking home a bottle of a Super Tuscan blend and even signed up for the wine club! I'm glad to know of this hidden gem and am looking forward to bringing my girlfriends here soon so I can continue to support this local winemaker. Thanks for the great time, Vin312! read more

FREE LOCAL DELIVERY during the zombie apocalypse! This is a wonderful, unpretentious, locally-owned winery that deserves your love in good times -- and definitely needs it in these crazy times. I happened to need a gift for a co-worker in Chicago, and Warner -- the winemaker himself -- literally brought it to her door. (And hopefully no further than her door, 'cuz viruses.) We're all stuck inside anyway, so drink up, friends. And when the mayhem ends, go enjoy some good conversations and great wine in Ravenswood. read more

I bought 2 groupons for this place and booked it. Got there just before 2 on 8/14 and they were closed. According to the note on the door they've been closed since July (before I booked our event) and are working on getting their liquor license. Why are you still selling groupons and allowing bookings? Very disappointing. Of course Groupon hasn't refunded me for this because since I booked it, it shows used. Your sign was out front. The store was empty. There were other people waiting outside. read more

Our tasting consisted of 2 reds, a white, and a cider. The wines were made with grapes from California and the cider from local apples. I dont' usually go to tasting where I enjoy all of the wines that I try but this was one of them. I enjoyed the overall set of wines better than those of any tasting in California. The server, Sabrina, was delightful and did an excellent job taking care of us as well as explaining all of the wines. Food is not served here so I would recommend bring your own met and cheese platter. read more

This is a cute spot next to Band of Bohemia. We saw it while visiting there and have wanted to try it out. We finally made it in today and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the wine. The space is "urban rustic" and has a nice vibe to it. We tasted 4 wines and ended up buying 2 bottles. I imagine at some point we will end up joining the wine club, as it is more cost effective and tastings are included. If you would prefer to hang out at the space, you can buy a bottle and sit at the bar area or in one of their areas with couches. I am looking forward to returning and trying some of their new releases in the future. read more

The wine is fine but don't sign up for the wine club. I canceled my membership over a year ago and they still continue to bill me to this day. I'll give them the first time but this has been multiple times now and the last time I still haven't received a refund. Now I'm going to have to claim fraud on my card and cancel it so they'll stop billing me. read more

Small winery and taste room "hidden" next to Band of Bohemia. Owner is friendly and easy going and it shows in his wines. It feels like this is one of the businesses that starts as a hobby but continues to grow past the tipping point. My wife and I really enjoyed the tasting and went home with a bottle of each (4 different at the time of this review). Tasting room has a few couches and chairs, so bring some company. Currently only open on weekend nights. read more
