DONT GO HERE! THE GUYS R SCAMMERS. I paid $200 here to replace the screen on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and it actually made my phone worse. After the repair I started having brightness issues, charging problems, and serious touch lag -- things that were NOT happening before the replacement. When I came back to show them the problems, there was no empathy and no effort to fix the situation. Instead, they told me I would need to pay another $200. That's unacceptable after already paying for a repair that clearly wasn't done properly. It feels like a cheap third-party screen was used, because the phone hasn't worked the same since. Spending $200 just to be told to pay another $200 again is not reasonable. I left feeling like my time and money were wasted. I had a great experience with Heechan and Fixstory after I dropped our daughter's tablet and cracking the screen. Fixstory got back to me right away with a fair estimate and was super responsive to my inquiries. I set up a time to stop by their store on 6th street. Parking was a bit tough, because I was just dropping off, I parked in the alley next to the store. I don't recommend doing this if you're going to be more than a minute or two. Fortunately that's how long the dropoff took. Heechan said that he could fix it with the replacement screen that I brought in within a few hours. True to his word, an hour or two later I got the message that he had finished the screen replacement. I came back and paid and was on my way. They accept credit card but tax is included if you pay. They were clear to inform me about this when I asked to pay using card and I said that I agreed. I had already received a very competitive quote for a high quality tablet repair and paying tax is not unreasonable considering the very high interchange fees and processing costs charged to small businesses. Simple, straightforward and quick. When I got home, I saw that they even put a screen protector on the new screen to protect from any more drops. I asked around to get quote via Yelp to fix my daughter's iPad charging port that became loose after years of my child yanking the device from its charging cord! Fixstory was the quickest to reply (3 mins after I sent message to multiple electronics repair stores in LA) and quoted the work $50-$80 less than anyone else. When I got to talking to the owner while he repaired the iPad I learned that this is a new establishment eager to earn more business through referrals and much more affordable prices than any other iPhone/iPad repair stores. I really appreciate the fast response and friendly prompt service I received, I was still receiving quotes from others via Yelp while I was already getting the iPad repaired. I reside in West LA but made the drive to Downtown LA to this establishment. The store could be a bit hidden because Downtown LA has a lot going on so I'd recommend mapping out the directions prior to getting here and look for parking nearby as this repair store is directly on a one way street.
