I'm not saying they're crooks that lure you in with a cheap smog coupon in hopes of rooking you into unnecessary repairs. I'm just saying they opened the hood of my recently serviced car, "hooked me up" for a smog test when it suddenly struggled to run (loud chuga-chuga), when he restarted the car, it ran normally. Then not only did it fail smog, I LEFT WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON!. Panicked, I raced to MY mechanic. He scanned the codes, looked under the hood and said "there are fresh scratches and fingerprints on the throttle body, were you trying to tune it?" No. Of course not. He cleaned the TB, cleared the check engine light, told me to drive it 50 miles on the freeway and return. I did. No check engine light, running sweet. He then hooked up the computer and showed me everything a smog check tests was good to go. Not adding it up yet I went back for a retest...and they got angry, began yelling. YOU NEED A REPAIR!! "It's taken care of" I said. "I went to MY mechanic." This infuriated him. "WHERE IS THAT PAPER (failed smog report) I GAVE YOU" he repeatedly yelled. when I told him I gave it to the mechanic, he lost his mind. Screaming he doesn't like my car, that it is garbage and needs a repair BUT NOW HE DOESN'T WANT TO WORK ON MY CAR ANYWAY...GET OUT!! I did, I went to the very next smog station I saw...AND WAS OUT WITH MY SMOG CERT IN 20 MINUTES. I BELIEVE THEY CAUSED ME TO FAIL IN HOPES OF A PRICY REPAIR. (HE HAD A FIT WHEN I SAID I WAS GOING TO MY REGULAR MECHANIC FOR ANY REPAIRS) AND I THINK HE FREAKED ABOUT "THAT PAPER" BECAUSE IT'S EVIDENCE OF A RIGGED TEST. BEWARE. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I am not the person to give out Bad reviews at all but I got my money stolen from them. I highly recommend not going because they will switch the price up on you. I went in for a smog due to it being one of the steps to change a car titles name. In this case I was changing my dads name for my name. As I get there and before I start I ask this guy that attended me if I can use this coupon ( $29.75) he said yes of course. Everything went smooth after that. As they finished someone different comes and says your car is done that will be $50. I said no way guy over there said I could use the coupon he told me no because my car was not in the system they had to do it manually and that my car came from a different state. 1st of every smog place that I have been to has always done it "Manually" never have they put it on the machine. 2nd the car did not come from a different state it has always been in California. Very prompt service! Came in without an appointment and they said it would only be a 15 minute wait. I think it was even quicker than that! :-) Just a note. If you're going north on Tustin Avenue, turn left on Palm then come in from the back, especially if southbound traffic is heavy. Kinda tough to turn left. I didn't think I would be writing another review, but long story short I got my front rotors and brakes done from here, now fast forward 9 months, they are messed up again, and my car is at risk of body frame damage, since it shakes too much when I brake, ALL THANKS TO FIX N SMOG! My mechanic stated this shop didn't even do a good job on the rotors plus that they ended up using cheap brake pads from Autozone which led to the situation I'm currently in. I regret coming here honestly. Fed up with overpriced mechanics that can't do their job right, that also charge a fortune when they don't even use high-quality auto parts. This is a delayed review. In 2019 I brought my 2000 SLK230 for what should have been a simple brake job. Went $600 due to sensors the shop owner mentioned. Owner seemed sincere and i approved of it with lingering negative thoughts in the back of my head. After the initial work I came back not too long later for a weird fluterring sound in my engine, owner said my engine is blown and I can get a replacement one for $3.5k with 3mos warranty. By that time I knew this guy is a ripper. Goodbye forever! Fast forward to present day 04/09/2022....my engine is fine. Still has the fluttering sound but I can live with it. Beware. read more

Do not believe the fake 5-star reviews. This guys sends out great deals in the mail and when you arrive he will ALWAYS find a way to charge you more. Went in for an AC service and he ended up selling me an AC compressor that I did not need and my AC still didn't work. He later told me the whole dash needs to be removed and he cannot do it. So I paid for a part I did not need and my AC was fixed by a more reputable mechanic who told me that a little condensation leakage from the AC compressor was common and did not need to be replaced and I was told the new one he put in was Chinese junk and would not last long. This guy just wants to sell you things and is so dishonest. He even offers free shuttle service and uses YOUR CAR to shuttle people around. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE SHADY MANAGER / OWNER (MIDDLE EASTERN GUY). Zero Stars would be more accurate for this guy. read more

Had to get my 93 Wrangler smogged but was having Evap leaks in various places leading to a fail. John went over how he was going to test the lines to find the culprit and repair them with out going the expensive route of replacing the tank, sending unit and all of the rest of the lines like most shops would want to do. Went in person and the employee said the 90k service was $300+ when the advertisement said $150, sharing that the more miles made the price go up (even though the same services would be applied). Beware of this dishonest place, I had diognostics done in my car here and later found out some parts were measing like the skid plate among other personal items. Also A sensor was claimed to be replaced and was never replaced.The owner has no ethics or values as he assured me everything was ready. He also suggested other services like changing brake pads when they were half way through.
