Stopped in this place to get a smog check about 10 years ago and noticed the work he was doing on the other cars. I brought my car back in for service a few weeks later and he was actually telling me things I didn't need that I was previously told I did need. He was honest. Honest mechanic? Yes! I found one. Now you did too. He always starts with the simplest, least expensive, solution first (another plus for sure) and then notifies me if anything changes. All around a great place... would and do recommend to anyone. read more

I got right in today. I moved from area and cuddled pull elsewhere. I'm happy to see the property has been upgraded. Fast and friendly.

Shady dealings. Don't go here. Awful customer service. Went to another place and was told this place should never have touched our car. Stay away. read more

I won't take my truck anywhere else, Brandon was able to fix a problem the dealership couldn't figure out even after taking it to them over 4 times, he figured it out the first time. Great customer service, i will deffinately be coming back when I have car issues. read more

I recently purchased a used car and two days later the check engine light came on. I took it to Fix N Smog and I was told that there was standard maintenance that had to be done and the previous owner was not transparent, disappointingly. Thankfully, I had great service here and they were very honest and upfront about what had to be done and generously I was even offered a slight discount. My car was ready in just a day and a half and is running great. Thankful for their patience and transparency. Great service! read more

Went in for smog, passed. But the found oil and coolant on the engine. Fixed it perfectly at a good price.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I am not the person to give out Bad reviews at all but I got my money stolen from them. I highly recommend not going because they will switch the price up on you. I went in for a smog due to it being one of the steps to change a car titles name. In this case I was changing my dads name for my name. As I get there and before I start I ask this guy that attended me if I can use this coupon ( $29.75) he said yes of course. Everything went smooth after that. As they finished someone different comes and says your car is done that will be $50. I said no way guy over there said I could use the coupon he told me no because my car was not in the system they had to do it manually and that my car came from a different state. 1st of every smog place that I have been to has always done it "Manually" never have they put it on the machine. 2nd the car did not come from a different state it has always been in California. Since he knows I was changing the title name on my car he assumed I bought it from someone random. Little did he not know I got it gifted from my dad ( Original Owner) which was never registered in a different state. As much stuff as I would tell him he would not honer the price. So as I say this again don't go. read more

Don't go here if you have a coupon!! They will treat you very differently on top of not being a man. I went in to get a smog check, was told it would be $60 something, I presented my coupon that came from their advertisement in the mail for $31, his whole attitude changed. He became very unpleasant and visibly annoyed that I had a coupon. There was one other guy that was waiting for his car, they pulled it up to the front for him when they were done. When my car was done I was told to pull it out of the shop myself, had to walk in and over their lift in flip flops to get to my car and pull it out of the very small space they had it in. read more

Alex was super helpful, even replaced a turn signal light at no charge! He spent time showing me areas of wear on rotors and serpentine belt. We will be back! read more

I originally brought my 2007 Honda Civic in just for a smog check, but was also happily able to take care of two additional issues I had had with my car: tire replacement and front tire axle replacement. I had a very positive experience! Ali was very kind, helpful, and efficient. He made sure I didn't have more work done than needed and the cost was very reasonable. Funds are tight so this was deeply appreciated! All around a good experience. Would recommend! read more

Went in for a smog, didn't pass. Alex and his team made the necessary repairs. I also had an oil change and changed out rotting shock absorbers. Alex even threw in a bulb for my burnt out headlight. Everything was done at a fair price and timely manner. Thankyou Alex, You're the man! Robert read more

After waiting for one hour, the owner took me and my car as a joke and told me to leave and take my car somewhere else. I guess because you're sending flyers in mailboxes that's already a clear sign the business sucks. Don't trust this place. Shows how they don't care for customers and probably will rip you off more. read more

I'm not saying they're crooks that lure you in with a cheap smog coupon in hopes of rooking you into unnecessary repairs. I'm just saying they opened the hood of my recently serviced car, "hooked me up" for a smog test when it suddenly struggled to run (loud chuga-chuga), when he restarted the car, it ran normally. Then not only did it fail smog, I LEFT WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON!. Panicked, I raced to MY mechanic. He scanned the codes, looked under the hood and said "there are fresh scratches and fingerprints on the throttle body, were you trying to tune it?" No. Of course not. He cleaned the TB, cleared the check engine light, told me to drive it 50 miles on the freeway and return. I did. No check engine light, running sweet. He then hooked up the computer and showed me everything a smog check tests was good to go. Not adding it up yet I went back for a retest...and they got angry, began yelling. YOU NEED A REPAIR!! "It's taken care of" I said. "I went to MY mechanic." This infuriated him. "WHERE IS THAT PAPER (failed smog report) I GAVE YOU" he repeatedly yelled. when I told him I gave it to the mechanic, he lost his mind. Screaming he doesn't like my car, that it is garbage and needs a repair BUT NOW HE DOESN'T WANT TO WORK ON MY CAR ANYWAY...GET OUT!! I did, I went to the very next smog station I saw...AND WAS OUT WITH MY SMOG CERT IN 20 MINUTES. I BELIEVE THEY CAUSED ME TO FAIL IN HOPES OF A PRICY REPAIR. (HE HAD A FIT WHEN I SAID I WAS GOING TO MY REGULAR MECHANIC FOR ANY REPAIRS) AND I THINK HE FREAKED ABOUT "THAT PAPER" BECAUSE IT'S EVIDENCE OF A RIGGED TEST. BEWARE. I FILED A REPORT WITH THE BUREAU OF AUTO REPAIR. BTW, I was testing my toy, a perfectly maintained, last issue Saab that just broke 100k miles. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS READ THE OWNERS RESPONSES TO BAD REVIEWS TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF NUT JOB YOU'RE DEALING WITH! read more

I had my HRV smogged. Was told it would cost more bc it's an SUV. Not so here. Alex was very professional & the service was fast and great value compared to other smog stations. Thank you read more

Very prompt service! Came in without an appointment and they said it would only be a 15 minute wait. I think it was even quicker than that! :-) Just a note. If you're going north on Tustin Avenue, turn left on Palm then come in from the back, especially if southbound traffic is heavy. Kinda tough to turn left. And just a side note ladies - they have current US Magazines to read :-) Very friendly & affordable! A tough combination to find these days!! Will definitely bring our other cars here. read more

Fix N Smog - Front of the shop - Auto Repair Near Me - Orange, California

I didn't think I would be writing another review, but long story short I got my front rotors and brakes done from here, now fast forward 9 months, they are messed up again, and my car is at risk of body frame damage, since it shakes too much when I brake, ALL THANKS TO FIX N SMOG! My mechanic stated this shop didn't even do a good job on the rotors plus that they ended up using cheap brake pads from Autozone which led to the situation I'm currently in. I regret coming here honestly. Fed up with overpriced mechanics that can't do their job right, that also charge a fortune when they don't even use high-quality auto parts. Thieves in disguise in my opinion. Horrible. P.S. Everytime I try posting a review to their google web page, they somehow end up deleting it. Pretty shady if you ask me. read more

This is a delayed review. In 2019 I brought my 2000 SLK230 for what should have been a simple brake job. Went $600 due to sensors the shop owner mentioned. Owner seemed sincere and i approved of it with lingering negative thoughts in the back of my head. After the initial work I came back not too long later for a weird fluterring sound in my engine, owner said my engine is blown and I can get a replacement one for $3.5k with 3mos warranty. By that time I knew this guy is a ripper. Goodbye forever! Fast forward to present day 04/09/2022....my engine is fine. Still has the fluttering sound but I can live with it. Beware. read more

I been coming here for a few years now and the job is done right away and never had an issue with the car, great work guys!

Do not believe the fake 5-star reviews. This guys sends out great deals in the mail and when you arrive he will ALWAYS find a way to charge you more. Went in for an AC service and he ended up selling me an AC compressor that I did not need and my AC still didn't work. He later told me the whole dash needs to be removed and he cannot do it. So I paid for a part I did not need and my AC was fixed by a more reputable mechanic who told me that a little condensation leakage from the AC compressor was common and did not need to be replaced and I was told the new one he put in was Chinese junk and would not last long. This guy just wants to sell you things and is so dishonest. He even offers free shuttle service and uses YOUR CAR to shuttle people around. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE SHADY MANAGER / OWNER (MIDDLE EASTERN GUY). Zero Stars would be more accurate for this guy. read more

I really don't know how this place got such good reviews. Alex has no personably skills, he was just rude. On the phone, when I got there and when I paid and left. Little to no eye contact, didn't really talk other than one word answers and pointing. "What is it" "sign" "keys" "38" "car" no facial expressions. Yeah, he did the job of the smog but I really won't be recommending this place. Unpersonable and just plain rude.. read more

BEWARE: FALSE ADVERTISING. REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR OWN COUPON, They have a coupon for smog check for $29.75 plus $8.25 certificate for a total of $38.00. I called and they confirmed the price. I drove there today Oct 25, 2021 around 2 pm. They demanded $49.95 which is their regular price per their ad. Their reason for the higher price: that I drive a Mercedes. I should have checked the reviews on yelp before visiting this shop: I would have saved much time and effort. read more

Had to get my 93 Wrangler smogged but was having Evap leaks in various places leading to a fail. John went over how he was going to test the lines to find the culprit and repair them with out going the expensive route of replacing the tank, sending unit and all of the rest of the lines like most shops would want to do. He fixed it for a super reasonable cost and my Jeep passed smog with flying colors. I'll definitely be back. read more
