I am a personal concierge. I have brought several clients' cars here over the years (for at least the last 10, possibly 15 years?) going back to when they were F Lofrano, before Fix Auto bought them. They are generally easy to deal with. They do good work, and direct bill through many major providers. My most recent appointment was for an estimate to get what I figured might be a pretty straightforward repair. A client somehow managed to pull a door handle in a way, so that it was only attached at the front end of the handle. I was right that it was straightforward. About 15 minutes into waiting for what I was told, would be roughly a 45 minute estimate appointment, I got a call saying they were done. In checking it out for the estimate, I guess they were able to just pop it back into place, and charged me nothing! I would definitely recommend them! read more

I've had my cars worked on at this location and they're part of State Farm's select shops. Very easy for me to get the estimate and work done without having to contact my insurance to coordinate. read more

I brought my car in here to get fixed after someone backed into it. The people there in the shop they made it easy for the Rent-A-Car. They let me know what was going on. Excellent work , an excellent customer service. They're very helpful. definitely will go back in the future if needed . they match the paint on my vehicle. And had the radar calibrated. I had a really frustrating experience with Desiree from Fix Auto Divisadero. I had already gone in, gotten my car estimated, and just needed to schedule the repair -- should've been a simple call. Instead, the person I spoke with, Desiree (she refused to give her full name), was rude and dismissive from the start. She kept interrupting me, wouldn't let me finish a sentence, and got angry when I asked to speak to a manager. She refused to schedule an appointment that she initially said was available, and just hung up on me after being mean. I wasn't calling to complain -- I just wanted to get my car fixed. The way I was treated was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. If this is how they treat returning customers, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope management takes this seriously. read more

Complete pros-flawless work. My Mercedes got pretty banged up; it looks like a factory finished car now. Thank You Fix Divisidadero team. Have your car turn brand new again you can trust FIX. read more

Do not bring a Tesla to this shop. I had a tail light replaced, and it fogged up and died after 6 months. Despite their "Lifetime Warranty", they refused to repair their work - claiming that Tesla's parts are defective. Tesla does not warranty their parts if they are installed by a non-Tesla shop, so I got stuck paying for yet another tail light and installation. read more

Fix Auto Divisadero has the best customer service staff, especially Greg and the best technicians! The other shops tried to overcharge me because the repair was minimal and not covered by my insurance. But Fix Auto offered me the best deal, completed the work exceptionally fast, my car looked like new and they made me feel like a million dollar customer. I recommend Fix Auto to everyone! read more

Greg at Fix Auto was great to work with. I took my Jeep in for an estimate, my insurance company recommended them to repair my rear passenger window due to a smash and grab. Although Fix Auto was not able to address my window, Greg assessed and drew up an estimate, called a local glass company, and set up a same day appointment for me there. If I need any future work I will definitely come back to Fix Auto Divisadero. read more

I been meaning to update this review for awhile now but didn't get a chance to, I realized my car bumper repair was VERY POORLY DONE! Within less than a year you can see lil ripples of dent marks on the bumper! And no it's not from parking and ppl hitting my car. The ripples I've noticed is in the exact corner where they "fixed" my car. I concluded, It was a botched job, I thought I was getting a brand new bumper..well it looks like they just did a "quick patch up work" where they must of went over that big ass scrape I got with some cheap cover up material to conceal the dents and make it appear "new like" and now I clearly can see through the patch up work, because it shows especially in sunlight the lil specks of pebble like dents on my bumper! Don't go here! My car looks terrible still, and I had to pay for this botched up job! I recommend you going to an honest body shop! This place is a scam! My original review said they fixed my car in 2 days! That should have been a red flag for me! I highly DO NO RECOMMEND this place! read more

My rear end looks fresh and new after an SUV crunched a corner. Staff was thorough in assessing the damage and highly communicative throughout the repair process. Disclaimer: Work was paid for by insurance. I would have had sticker shock were it out of pocket. read more

The team at this Divisadero Fix Auto are the BEST!!! I have had repairs done by them twice; once when I was rear-ended a few years ago and last week to repair some damage I did to both fenders pulling in and out of our too-narrow garage. Both times my car looks almost new again! PLUS, I got my Prius back TWO days earlier than expected today!! They deserve 5 stars. Thanks!! read more

I got rear ended and my insurance recommended that I come here for the estimate and repairs. Both Desiree and Nicole provided excellent customer service and I am happy with the quick two week turnaround. There was a slight issue with the Toyota decal but that was resolved quickly. They provided complimentary sanitizing of the steering wheel and quick hosing down of my car, which was cool but unnecessary, since I did a quick wipe down of the inside myself before I left the area. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend them for others. Looks like they have a lot of business. read more

This was a while back. Got clipped on Fulton Street in San Francisco. Brought it here as recommended by my insurance company. Made the appointment and left with a quote of around 5.5K. Thought it was excessive for the damage. Waited two weeks and heard nothing. Called insurance company. They said it was still under review but looked like it was around 7.2K. I freaked and I told them I had a quote, in writing, for around 5.5K. They said to call back (insurance co) in a week or so as the file was not complete. I called two weeks later as I had still not heard anything. I was informed that the quote was now 8K+ and they were totaling my vehicle. My car was older, but very low miles and in awesome condition other than this accident. It was also top of the line, lighted sideboards, sun roof, luxe interior, etc... Multiple times people had left notes on the car that if I wanted to sell it to call them and they left their number. My mechanic had also told me on several occasions that he would buy it if I wanted to sell. Fast forward, I picked up my car today after deciding to finally get it fixed. This is another insurance company's certified autobody repair shop. This repair shop had year after year of awards in the office (people's choice and from the insurance companies). Total cost $1,855.00 - YES more than 75% less than the quote to fix given to my insurance company by Fix Auto - which TOTALED my car. I will not recommend. I am CONVINCED that someone there wanted my car for personal use or to part it out as it was in such great condition - other than the clipped back bumper. DO.NOT.GO. HERE. FOR.CAR.REPAIR! read more

Unorganized, Rude, Unaccommodating. My insurance company had a scheduled appointment for me for an estimate. They didn't have a record of the appointment. They didn't think to look up anything that may have be mistaken on their schedule. The representative would was only interested in me bringing the car back to do the repair without an estimate. He became quite rude when I said I didn't know if I would bring it there fore the actual repair. They call me and said I never showed up. They would have to reschedule another appointment days later to do the estimate. What a waist of time. They didn't know what they were doing and didn't try to make an accommodation for messing up my appointment for the estimate. I had a similar experience with this shop several years ago. read more

The worst experience Ever. They never let my car with the same color, I had to go to that shop SEVEN TIMES and still Not the same color outside NOR INSIDE THE DOOR!. Plus the back tires were bad mounted and TWO BOLTS were loose!. Josh Lofrano is just good flirting but when is about the job.. IS A PIECE OF SHIT. read more

Thanks to Fix Auto my seriously damaged car now looks brand new. I worried that I'd get a call saying it was totaled--my car was involved in a hit & run where the jerk driver took out the entire left side--but they went above and beyond to repair everything. I do think the communication could have been better. I did have to call for updates and press for information. That said, I highly recommend this auto shop -- the results speak volumes! read more

Nicole took the time to care and evaluate my car issue even though she was busy. Rare to receive customer service in the industry. After I left the shop, I called AAA seeking to find a new body shop for any future claims I might have, and was so pleased to learn this same shop where Nicole works is AAA's #2 shop in my zip code! read more

I used this company since it was part of the insurance company network and had favorable reviews. My experience could have been better. -poor communication and customer service -lacking attention to detail Estimate went smoothly. Scheduled a date for repair and dropped the car in the morning and I was told it would be completed the following day. I had to ask for a copy of the paper work I had signed, but I realized they had only given me copies of some of the pages. I called and requested the others be emailed and they agreed, but never followed through. The next day I call around 4p since I had not heard from them, and they said had left a message that the car was completed. I realized they had the wrong phone number in their system and I gave them the correct one. I arrive at the shop to find that they had not replaced a trim piece that was part of the repair estimate. They find the part in their shop and said I had to come back the following day. No apologies from the staff. I leave a msg that evening making sure they have my correct phone number. The next day, I call them, since I haven't heard from them again. Someone finally picks up the phone after calling ~5 times over a span of 3 hours. They insisted they had left a message earlier in the day and were rude/annoyed that I was calling to check on the status. I go to pick up the car and the paperwork shows they still had the wrong phone number. (No apologies again for their mistake.) The repair work was just OK. There are half a dozen small blemishes in the paint work. read more

Customer service is horrible.I was told by text that my car would be ready today.I went in and the woman at the front desk who was on her cell phone and really couldn't be bothered. Disclaimer: haven't gotten their service. But I was so put-off by their customer care when I called in to book an appointment that I decided to not go with them. I chose them over the others based on their Yelp reviews and I wanted to make sure other folks who are evaluating them are made aware of this too. 1) My call was diverted 3 times after each person took all my details (car, name, insurance etc.) before I actually got transferred to the correct person. If you were not the right person to address my issue, why did you take my details and then transfer and not transfer my details. I had to repeat the same information with every person 2) One person was not aware of Tesla Insurance, surprisingly as they are a certified Tesla Insurance partner. So she just chose to pass on my call. I was put on hold for a good 15 minutes and this after talking to 2 people and sharing all my details with both of them 3) When I finally reached the supposedly correct person, she was completely disinterested in providing me with any information regarding the process of review, repair etc. She did not care much about giving information. The first layer of interaction says a lot about the company in particular. So at the end of the call, I chose not to go with them. My assessment was that this is a signal of the attitude of the company towards customer service. read more

Someone in my apartment's garage reversed into my front passenger side fender and dented it - so I decided to take my car to Fix Auto! They did a fantastic job with fixing my aluminum fender, fixed it only 4 days! They are also very professional and admit when they make mistakes - and they overcompensate in the correction - which is fantastic. John Lofrano the owner is fantastic - my car is pretty low to the ground and he accidentally scraped the underside of my front bumper lip when moving the car. He admitted fault and fixed it for me free of garage and my front lip looks brand new! He even helped me get my car out with no damage out in the street in using some cardboard he had in his shop. I'll definitely going back to Fix Auto for my body shop needs in the future! read more

I had a fantastic experience with Fix Auto and would highly recommend them. Unfortunately, my car was hit on the night before Thanksgiving. I am very particular about my car and keep it pristine and I can say that after Fix Auto did the work, I couldn't tell it was ever hit. Everyone was wearing masks and they had sanitized pens for when paperwork needed to be signed. Tay went above and beyond for me and I can't thank the team enough. Keep up the good work! read more

Had an accident on Saturday and towed to Fix It, left it over the weekend, and then there first thing on Monday morning before they openned. As a return customer I was very disappointed at the poor customer service at being turned away because they were "too busy". In addition not given any assistance for referrals to other Mercury approved body shops in SF. I had to contact another shop and arrange for a second tow on my own. read more

They have such great reviews so I took my car there and the estimate they gave at $5700 seemed high for the amount of damage. I ended up getting a second opinion and glad I did. I had the work done elsewhere (it came out great) for about $1400. That is a dramatic difference. They might do good work, I don't know, but I would get a second opinion on these guys. read more

Brought my car in to get the bumper fixed. The process was very smooth. Went in to get an estimate, waited for about 45 minutes. Brought the car back in about 1.5 weeks later to get it fixed and it was done in 2 days. Was able to leave my car there for an extra day becuase I wasn't able to pick it up the same day they were done with the car. The bumper looks perfect, no complaints there. F. Lofrano & Son saved me. Accidents are not fun. I was t-boned at a residential intersection late Saturday night when coming home from working a catering job on Arguello Street. Both cars were totalled from a 4-way stop sign at Washington and Presidio Streets. Fortunately, it was possible to push the cars to a safe spot on the street until Monday morning which happened to be a holiday, Presidents Day. I telephoned F. Lofrano & Son at 7 a.m. Monday morning and spoke with Zig, then had AAA tow my 2012 Fiat with the crushed passenger side door (including exploded air bags) to their shop at 1745 Divisadero. I cannot say enough good things about the professional and excellent work given at this body shop. The entire crew was helpful and kind in the midst of the trauma and confusion of this accident. They gave me expert advise and took comprehensive photos, using my car as evidence to ensure the settlement went in my favor. I cannot thank them enough for their efficient, helpful and kind service! Would highly recommend! read more

Why do auto body shops have a bad name? It is because of F Lofrano and Son. They were down the street from my house and recommended by my auto insurance company. Reviews didn't give me a clear cut answer so I moved forward. TAKE THIS AS A WARNING I brought my car to F Lofrano and Sons to repair minor dents and scrapes along the drive side. I had to wait a week before they would assess my car and another week before they would take the car in for service. Once assessments were submitted to my insurance company they made claims of the car having wear and tear that might not be attributed to the accident, mind you my car is brand new 2010 purchased in November. Ten days later my car was ready, dents fixed and it appeared to be in good condition. The car was dirty but they did a quick wash to make it look good before I drove it out of the garage. I was not impressed. Only days later, I noticed that the paint was pealing on several areas of the vehicle. I contact them and they offer to fix it and get me a rental car for the time being. After only a week the car was finish. Once again the car was dirty and they made an attempt to clean it as I waiting only make the problem worse as they had to buff out several areas of the car and ended up dulling the paint job. I drove the car off the lot and in a matter of days the wax wore off and you could see that the area they worked on was dull and the paint was once again flaking off. You would think they could get the job done right the second time, but they were clearly focused on getting my car done fast instead of doing the job right. I would not recommend F Lofrano and Sons at Divisadero or any of their locations. read more
