This is the second or third time I've taken my Tesla here after getting hit by other drivers, and they've handled everything perfectly each time. They're a Tesla certified collision shop that does a better job than Tesla's own auto body shop (I've heard bad things.) I like this shop so much I would bring my car here over Tesla's own body shop. These guys seem to know Teslas way better--inside and out. They catch hidden damage that the insurance adjuster completely missed and they're also experts at dealing with the at fault party's insurance. On top of that, they're trusted enough to have a contract fixing up new VinFast cars that got damaged in transport--bringing them back to brand-new condition (before cars are sold.) If you have a Tesla (or even if you don't), this is the place I'd go to every time. I'll definitely keep coming back. This shop knows cars and are honest to work with. I was recommended to Denny at Fix Body by my mechanic. I first met Denny back in February when someone backed into my car. I went to several body shops in the city and nobody would help me. I pulled up to Denny's place, and he immediately grabbed a tool, fixed the issue right on the spot, and refused to take a penny. That alone left a huge impression on me. So when my car was recently damaged again--this time by a large garbage bin in two separate spots--I went straight back to Denny. In a stressfull situation, Denny and his team made the entire process absolutely seamless. He listened, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood each step. Throughout the entire process, I felt respected, taken seriously, not rushed and treated like a valued customer. My repairs took eight days, and my car looks brand new. About seven days into repairs through, staff called to update me, which I really appreciated. Update: we had water intrusion issues so took it to Tesla. The tech pointed out several flaws in the repair. I would not use this shop. They also left black gunk on the paint of the car that is permanently there. There is a good chance your car will look worse coming out of here. Here is a photo of some of the shoddy work. read more

.My car was hit on the street and I had my car towed to Fix Auto. They told me the cost of the repair exceeded the value of my car and encouraged me to give my car to consignment for auction. It is a 2017 Subaru with less than 70,000 miles. Luckily I found another shop that did the repairs for less than half of what Fix Auto had told me. I then discovered that while my car was in their shop the front floor mats and the passenger- side visor had been removed. When I asked the manager about it he denied any responsibility saying it probably happened at the tow yard. My car never went to the tow yard. It was towed directly to Fix Auto which should be called Scavenge and Don't Fix Auto. If there was a lower rating possible that's what I would give it. read more

I hit what seemed to be a bag of rocks on the freeway that left possibly three years worth of scratches and chips on my front bumper. Not opting to go through insurance I was referred to Fix Auto Potrero though Tesla's list of approved body shops. I made an appointment for an estimate and Yuen gave me a rather high quote which he attributed to the complexities of Tesla's design. After reading the positive reviews of this establishment on Google and Yelp, I decided on Fix Auto Potrero to repair my bumper as I thought it was probably a reasonable cost to get my less than a year old car looking new again. Since I was going on vacation, I was to leave my car with them during that time. When I dropped off my car, I dealt with Denny who was kind enough to take $100 off the initial estimate. When I returned from my trip, I picked up the car and at first glance, I was content with the work done. However, upon further examination of my front bumper, I noticed a few instances of pitting in the paint. I also noticed the bumper was improperly re-installed, as it was misaligned with the lower vent/grill. I took my car back to Fix Auto and I met with Yuen who attempted to realign my bumper with metal pry tools. Yuen was unsuccessful and he marred the plastic surface of the bottom grill. He eventually drove my car back into the body shop and they finally realigned the bumper. I brought up the pitting on the paint job and he said that it was probably due to the weather and they could repair it under warranty but I would have to leave my car again for another week. Yuen also mentioned they could polish out the scratches he caused with his pry tools. Unfortunately, due to work I could not commit to this work so I never had the bumper re-sprayed. In hindsight, he could have offered a rental car to accommodate my work schedule but Yuen didn't seem keen to admit to any fault. You would think since Fix Auto had over a week with my car, they would have taken some time to check the quality of their work. For the price I paid, I felt this quality of work was unacceptable. read more

I went to get the estimate to replace the bumper, and the gentleman at fix auto looked at my car and wiped the scrape away and reattach the bumper clips that required a realignment which the gentleman was able to do very cleanly and didn't even charge during this estimate appointment. Someone apparently tried to steal my passenger side mirror so even though the wires were still attached, it was hanging and flopping around as I drove. I tried but couldn't get it to stick on my own. This team was fantastic. We needed to replace our front and rear bumper. They knew exactly what they had to do for the next step in our State Farm insurance claim and were able to set up an appointment. We could still drive our car, so we didn't need an appointment right away. They called a Lyft to take me home after I dropped the car off for repairs. The repairs took two days longer than expected, but they were in constant communication with us. These people do excellent work, I trust them and will definitely return with anything else car-relayed. They are knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this place for car repairs. They were able to get my car in and out in a couple of days, which was such a relief and much shorter than they initially quoted for time! My car insurance AAA sent me to this shop for repairs. Terrible experience, the person who inspected the car made a repair bill that was sent to the insurance company knowing it was not the right estimate. The shop couldn't take the car for 3 months and because of this they lowered the repair price knowing it's completely incorrect but this would now hold my repair procedure for a unknown time due to this inaccuracy in the price of repair. If your Body shop doesn't have vacancy and you are busy don't waist the customers time and create difficulties for the customer by adding more hurdles before the car repair process can begin. Just say sorry but we can't help because we are backed up and we are unable to do this for you. Don't make false car estimate repair bill and send it to the insurance company knowing that nobody can repair the car for that price. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Excellent customer service and high quality work. Someone rolled back hard into my parked car on a hill and left a note for me to find. It was bad enough that they would have a guilty conscious not to leave a note -- it was not just a harmless ding. Their insurance covered it and offered their choice of auto body shops, however, yelp reviews were all 3 stars or under. I called two mechanics (one, by reference, and the other, the highest-rated on yelp) and they both recommended Sunny. My car is back two days early and looking fantastic! They assured me that if anything went wrong to just call them whether or not it had anything to do with the accident and they would "take care of it," considering what it was. One MAJOR BONUS, is that I also asked for a quote on how much it would cost to fix the scratches and dings on my rear bumper (nothing to do with the accident) separate from the claim, and they said it would be free (on them). Worst customer experience ever. I went to this shop a couple of weeks ago with dents on my passenger front and rear doors. Danny promised that he will call me back in a week to let me know when to bring the car back, because he had to get an approval from the insurance and order the parts. These guys are awesome. I usually park my M4 in a garage but occasionally park it on the street in SF or on a trip. In those few times, I've collected dings, scratches, and chips from the horrendous drivers in the Bay. And they never leave a note. It's not worth going through insurance for all of these separate incidents, so I decided to bring my car into Sunny to bulk fix 'em all. They gave me a quote on my front bumper and said it'd be done in a week, so I said what the heck, do the back bumper as well with a discount. Car looked great when it came out.
