Let me begin by saying I wish the stars went higher than 5. Kai at Karry's Collision Center really fought with my insurance company and stopped them from totally out my car. He totally cared about the situation I was in and he bent over backwards to make sure I got my car back in mint condition. Due to the battle he was having with my insurance company he even did a lot of the repairs on my two dented doors for free so I wouldn't get stuck with having to buy a new car which I can't afford. He even had his team deoxidize my headlights just because he happen to notice them (this was also for free). I genuinely got the feeling that he actually cares about his customers (which is rare now a days). I've told everyone I know, IF YOU NEED BODY WORK GO TO KARRY'S COLLISION CENTER. We stopped in last week at Karry's per a recommendation from our mechanic. A piece of cladding around one of our wheel arches came off after brushing against a wall. The clips were broken off, so we needed them to be replaced. We wanted to make sure it was secure and would not come off at high road speed. They helped me deal with the rental car, diagnosed the potential cause of the mysterious damage as attempted theft, suggested an anti-theft deterrent (special lug nuts) and ordered and installed them for me, I just paid for the lug nuts. So someone hit my parked car, knocking the side mirror off and then it got driven over and destroyed. I called another shop and they said they couldn't get the exact painted replacement. The dealer said it would be over $600 just for the part and they didn't have it in stock. I have had awful experiences with the dealer service center so set about finding a solution. I found a used but like new replacement part online for a good price. Then finding a shop to install it near home became a struggle especially with a demanding work schedule. I decided to check near work and Karry's popped up on my Yelp search. I called and was told to bring it in to assess. I was also told a time to come to ensure crew was available to help. And wow, I swear I was in and out in less than 15 minutes! Other shops were saying it would be at least 2 hrs of work, they had to disassemble this, remove that. Nope, this place knows what they are doing and had the part off and new one on, including wiring for the mirror adjustment controls, in a flash. I was shocked and am so grateful to have found a competent shop. In the short time I was in the waiting area it seemed to be a well organized business too. I'm not quick to give 5 stars in my reviews, but when thinking about the service I had at Karry's Collusion Center it would be dishonest to give anything else. From the very start to finish, Kai and everyone I worked with were amazing. My fix required dealing with some insurance hiccups. The team got on the phone to help push that forward then once cleared, and even with a delay on parts, they were able to complete the work timely (quicker than I expected to be honest) to make sure we had our vehicle for an upcoming trip out of town. Kai and the team go above and beyond to help make the process an enjoyable one and are extremely fair with their estimates and charges. Even being in San Francisco, it feels like you're dealing with a smaller town shop who wants to help their community. They are kind and knowledgeable and make you feel like they genuinely want to help. It's weird to say I hope to work with an auto body shop again soon. I mean, I hope that I don't need to of course. I had an accident that required body work. Kai was honest about time and cost expectations, even though I clearly hoped it would be less time. He kept me well informed throughout the process and always responded quickly to my queries. My check tire pressure light went on two hours after I retrieved my car, as I drove up 101 from the shop to Mendocino. Embarrassingly, I had no idea how to check the tire pressure and what the pressure should even be. Kai gave me a ten minute lesson over the phone while I cursed in confusion at a gas station. I went to Karry's to get my side panel fixed. Kai, who was the staff / manager on duty, was very helpful and honest. He explained that they would not be able to help me because of the unique matte factory paint I had, and it would not be possible for them to have the outcome be at the highest level they expect to deliver to their customer. What an impressive experience! I have a Jaguar F-type that needed both quarter panels repaired and a handle that needed to be adjusted. I have quite the sentimental attachment to this car, so I wanted to make sure I found the right person to work on her. After some research, I narrowed it down to top 3 body shops. After visiting each one, I found that this one was by far the friendliest and most reasonable. The manager, Kai, was super nice and transparent about the whole process and even decided to throw in the handle repair at no extra cost. I got the car back after 4 days. When I went to go pick it up, I was even more pleasantly surprised because he had decided to touch up all the minor scratches the car had accumulated over the years. He ordered me a Lyft on the house when I dropped my car off.
