I had a great experience with DB Autobody Performance, especially with Phi. My vehicle was considered a total loss, and Phi really went above and beyond to help me through the whole process. He communicated with the insurance company, helped work everything out, and even helped save me money on the repairs. What I appreciated most was how hassle-free he made everything. He kept me updated, took care of the details, and made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier. I felt like he genuinely looked out for me rather than just trying to get the job done. I definitely recommend DB Autobody & Performance to anyone who needs body work or help dealing with an insurance claim. Great service and a great experience overall. read more

Someone backed into the front bumper of my Lexus GS350, and I brought it to D B Autobody for repairs. I'm really glad I did. The work was top quality, done in less than a week, and the car looks like new again. Huge shout-out to Phi, the owner and estimator--he was professional, honest, and clearly takes a lot of pride in his shop's work. He gave me a fair estimate, explained everything upfront, and delivered exactly what he promised. If you're looking for a reliable autobody shop that does great work without the runaround, I highly recommend D B Autobody. Thanks again, Phi! read more

Phi is an awesome gentleman who helped me with two separate different incidents. First incident: other vehicle backed up into my car (they were at fault) causing damage to the bumper of my car. Second incident: Prius pulled into a spot in front of my (parked) car but mid-judged the distance and scraped the side of my bumper (other part at fault). Pho (Manager) was extremely helpful in explaining the general steps that would need to be done in the claims process. He was thorough in his explanations and any very prompt in communication with the insurance companies. I would absolutely recommend DB Autobody & Performance if you're looking for a place for quality service. read more

DB Autobody is the Robinhood of all autobody shops! They helped me rescue my 2008 Prius that the insurance company decided was "a total loss" and had towed it to an auction lot in Napa! BD Autobody sent their tow service to Napa to bring it back to SF where the total repairs (new front bumper & coolant pump) were replaced for under $3300 including the tow charge! The insurance company finally agreed it was "repairable" based on DB Autobody's assessment. DB Autobody not only fixed my car, but they went above & beyond, cleaning it inside & out and even replacing the cloudy headlight lenses at no charge! This company is one in a million! read more

Phi is outstanding. I've never been very confident with mechanical things, and even something as simple as a tire pressure warning or an oil change light would stress me out. About three months ago, after I was involved in a no-fault accident, my car was referred from the dealership to Phi's place. From the very beginning, Phi explained the entire repair and insurance process in a clear, patient, and easy-to-understand way. He took the time to address all of my concerns and completely eased my anxiety. Since then, whenever anything comes up with my car, Phi is the first person I think of. If you've ever felt the same kind of stress or uncertainty about car repairs, I highly recommend reaching out to him. This is truly a top-notch shop. read more

Phi and his team are great! I've been coming to this place since the previous owner (Denni) and they've always taken good care of me anytime something happens to my Prius. I've come in for oil changes, tire patches, air in my tires, brake changes, and other minor things where they always take me in without an appt. The value for the service that I receive is pretty great too. I can trust that I'm not being ripped off :) read more

First off: This was a no-fault rear end collision on my part. The other party's insurance ultimately paid the bill. There was a minimal amount of effort on my part; and DB handled the paperwork. Auto body-work is not easy, simple, fast nor cheap--exactly the opposite, in my experience of driving in San Francisco for nearly 40 years. My car enthusiast friend and fellow Lexus owner, pointed me to DB and Phi. My friend had work done to his Lexus about a year prior and was VERY satisfied with the job. I trust his judgment, since my experience is limited to a very specific body-shop that specializes in German cars. Phi sized up my 2021 Lexus RX350. The rear bumper, cover, exhaust diffusers and sensors were all damaged and needed replacing and painting. (Phi told me that a Lexus shop had to calibrate the new parking sensors) I arranged a Monday to bring the car in; and DB fixed the car and had me back in by Friday, the same week. The Lexus looked better than before the accident. The new bumper and rear-end components looked and function perfect! I'm happy with the job. read more

I barely ever write reviews, but Phi and team were so exceptional I have to. In one sentence: if you're looking for an auto-body shop, just stop looking and work with Phi and team. In more sentences: they helped us manage multiple claims through insurance and delivered unbelievably good repairs on our car. We literally cannot tell where the damage was anymore. Throughout the process, they worked with the insurance adjustors and kept us up to date on where things were. It was professional, honest, and super skilled. And maybe beyond that, Phi just treated us as family the entire time, and guiding us on what was best for us (and not the insurance company). At the start of this process of repairing our car (first time in an accident), we were clueless on the right way to go about it -- looking back now, we're incredibly lucky we found Phi and there are many many reasons why their customers love them so much. read more

DB Autobody & Performance - Side / rear damage entirely gone - Auto Repair Near Me - San Francisco, California

Have used them in the past and while color matching wasn't perfect the customer service and willingness to help made me return. Recently I had small fender bender and came for an estimate as other party wanted to pay out of pocket. They refused to give an estimate unless insurance work then wanted $175 for estimate. I'm an existing client that was personal friend of then owner Danny but still no help. I guess new ownership changed business. I won't return for any work read more

My 1st time reviewing an auto body shop because they deserved it. Phi and his team are awesome and was able to restore our trust to a private auto body shop. If you live in SF, you need a trustworthy mechanic that won't take advantage for the money and someone you can rely on in case of emergency. They did a good job with our Subaru and runs smoothly now. I know you'll help more clients and make sure the vehicle is safe to drive for everyone. Thank you so much! read more

A huge shoutout to Phi and his team at DB Autobody & Performance! I was rear-ended in a big rig truck 3 car pileup while I was fully stopped at a red light. Needless to say, my SUV needed some repairs and Phi and team did an AMAZING job! They also handled all the communications and correspondences with the insurance, etc. Phi updated me every step of the way and patiently explained how my car would be repaired and what to expect. When I got my car back, I was truly impressed at the beautiful work that they did to get my SUV in tiptop shape and it's running very well. Our other car needed some repairs as well in another incident (there are a lot of reckless drivers here) and Phi and team did a really fantastic job and the car is also running well. It's really hard to find a body and repair shop that genuinely cares about their clients. I strongly recommend DB Autobody for their excellent work and customer service! read more

My daughter's car was hit while it was parked when she was home for winter break. The person who hit her initially wanted to not get insurance involved, so Subaru suggested we try DB Autobody. They were great. They gave us a quote right away. Really nice guys. Then the person decided they wanted to use insurance, so we had to go through the estimate again, and DB Autobody totally worked with us, helped us get all of the paperwork through with the insurance company, and even squeezed the job in, so my daughter could get back to school before break ended. They were very easy to work with, and did a great job. read more

This place is AMAZING! I was in a major pinch as I needed some body work done ASAP in order for me to safely drive home. Phi and the team took really good care of me! I had an unfortunate accident with my F82 M4 and I was recommended to get my car inspected and possibly fixed by Phi and his team. I was able to order the recommended parts and once they arrived they went straight to work! They were able to fix my car in a matter of a week and I could not be happier with the results. Long story short I hit a small pot and my engine completely stopped working. I had my car towed to DB Auto Body And Maintenance. They had done prior work for me and their work was always excellent. Somehow, they managed to resurrect this engine and saved me from having to either sell my car and buy a new one or put a new engine in. I can't begin to sing their praises enough! Not only are they honest they're incredibly competent. If they can raise this Lazarus from the dead -believe me - they can do wonders for your car too! read more

The whole team and process here was superb! I had some severe damage to my bumper and side of my Subaru, and I was able to get it repaired in less than a week--far quicker than I ever could have imagined. This seems like the place to go for Subaru parts and work. When I got the car back, everything looked seamless and you couldn't even tell any body work was done. Importantly, throughout the whole experience, the communication was great, and I felt like my car was in great hands. Will certainly be back if I ever need to get body work done again! read more

I have always struggled to try to figure where to take my car for repairs. As a woman, I often feel like I might be taken advantage of. I was recommended D B Auto Group by my Suburu dealership and I cannot say enough about how great the whole process was with them. From the beginning- with how quickly they got the estimate done, to ordering the parts and completing the repairs- it was so quick. Communication was so easy and they went the extra mile to make sure that I understood every step in the entire process. I purchased my Suburu because of the safety, reliability and dependability. I would not dream of talking my car anywhere else besides D B Autobody & Performance to take care of my investment. Cannot recommend enough! A million stars. read more

I rarely review. However, DB Autobody did such a great job on my Camry that I needed to note their exceptional quality of work. It's a great place, knowledgeable people, and awesome value. I highly recommend this shop. read more

Have used this shop in the past and body and fender work was good for the price. I called today for an estimate and the guy told me to come down. I took time off from work and headed over. Once I arrived, the fellow indicated the estimate would cost $200 and be returned after work completed. That information would have been useful beforehand. I then went to Lee Auto Body that did the estimate for me snd charged nothing. I guess management has changed and DB wants to nickel and dime their customers even before they've secured the job. I don't recommend this shop based and the bare and switch I encountered after brining many clients there and using them on my card for years. Too bad! read more
