And when my battery light on my dashboard went on, I needed to get it fixed quickly. To make things worse I was already having a really bad day, and Was preparing to get screwed over in paying an outrageous amount of money to get my alternator replaced. Buy pure random chance, I stumbled upon Jose's shop. Not only did he give me a great price, but I could tell he was honest, knowledgeable and just an overall genuine guy. He made something that I thought was going to be a complete headache, and made it manageable without it costing me an arm and a leg. Basically he changed out my alternator in less than an hour while also providing me with other useful tips for maintaining my car. What a great guy. Can't say enough good things about this man and I literally just met him! I'll be coming back to him for all my car needs in the future.

To my cars credit, I had this battery for almost 6 years. He dropped what he was doing when I got there and got to it. I was in and out of there in a jiffy! He was kind, professional and I felt completely safe being there without thinking I would have to change about 20 car parts on my car and sell a kidney so I could get my car out of there. He even showed me what was wrong with the battery. When I left, I realized my car stereo thought it has been stolen, so it locked itself... I called up and Jose told me to come on over. He looked it up, checked it out and didn't get the info, but he spent time on it and promised me a call back with more info. See, my car company makes things difficult... you swear it was a Jag or something... freaking Saturn! The stereo is working and I am happy. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at this shop. Ladies... I know how hard it is to find a mechanic you trust. Hey... if I had a spot where I could do it... I would change my own car oil! But you know... city ordinances... and my nails... don't want to break them! LOL I recommend this shop. If I had a grandma still and she drove... I would recommend this place to her too!

Sometime in June, 2026 this is the bad experienced I had in this auto repair shop. For more than 3…read moreyears now, I was renting a 2022 Tesla Model 3 from Hertz when the trunk Power Liftgate Actuator broke. So, after getting a repair voucher from Hertz, they sent me to this UCS Auto Repair Shop in San Bruno. Hertz office is closed to this shop and has contrated them to do service for our rented cars. After changing this lift actuator with a new one, I noticed that the trunk itself is misaligned. Therefore, I complained to the owner, Jeremy about it. But he said, we do not aligned that. A big question why when it was not like that before? So, I left without that fixed. Days later, I went back to them again (after informing Hertz) and asked an inspection to my car. I ran over a "garden rake" and got stucked under my car in the freeway. Upon my personal inspection of the car, the undercarriage cover was ripped cut by this accident. Now, its with UCS for would be inspection. The owner, Jeremy did not know... I was watching his mechanic while he removed the black plastic undercarriage cover of my car. To my surprise, this mechanic did not even made a thorough inspection of my car and when he removed the plastic undercarriage cover, he replaced it with somewhat "rectangular" shape part that he toke from their room. I saw him removed the original part that was somewhat "triangular shape" plastic cover that contours to the Tesla undercarriage. In other words, he changed it with a wrong or different part. Right at that point, I was surprised because I am 100% sure this mechanic put a different part. When I complained to Jeremy, he denied it and even saying they did not replaced it. Of course, I knew because I was there watching. And when he asked his mechanic (because Im already agitated), I was in front hearing him telling his boss... he did. So, I caught his dishonesty. The problem now, because this is not the right part, it is protruding underneath towards the sides that it actually vibrates in high speed and now partly broken and scraped when I passed thru a "speed bump". I am driving this rented car for my "Uber" business driving. Needless to explain, I need a sound and safe car for the public. It is easy for me to go back to Hertz and get it replaced but they dont have one already. And I need a this car for my Uber work. And it takes month to get an SFO permit for a particular registered car. I protested and complained to this UCS boss, Jeremy, but instead of addressing my problem, he refused and told me that I am not owner and they deal "only" to Hertz. So, if I have a complain or problem, they dont deal with me. I explained to him that I am renting this car for $560 a week and the liability and rehabilitation of this car is transfered to me now. He threw me out and refused service, and as he told me, they have the right to refuse service to me. Despite of my loud protesting, I left his place with a heavy heart with helpless feeling. This is from a shop that has no regard to its clients and sense of responsibility or obligation to its clients. And I think they are breaking a law. They have not addressed the two problems I stated about. Now, if this you, would you comeback and recommend this place to others?

*BEWARE HIRING AUTO SPECIALIST IGOR ZUBKO*…read more He charges a premium compared to other mobile mechanics, and the day i needed my starter replaced as soon as possible since i was stranded, i hired him as he was the only one available, and because he says he guarantees his work and offers warranty on his labor and parts (4.9* on yelp at the time of review). Not even 5 days later after he replaced my starter with a brand new one, it blew up along the 1 highway. Causing me to be stranded somewhere completely remote. There were warning signs, which i relayed to him immediately (starter started going off while driving and would only go away once the car was off on day 2), but this only happened 3 times briefly. However, we were met with zero response, and ignored phone calls everyday. I believed in his word, 4.9 stars on yelp that im convinced was fabricated. His guarantees and warranty is JUST words. There were no contracts or invoice, so theres absolutely no liability for him. He was 40 mins late on the agreed upon time, took 1.5 hours to "complete" the job, lied about his guarantees. On the other hand, Abdul from QUICKFIX, was absolutely phenomenal. He also costed a premium(but tow trucks and shops were quoting me 3x more since i was stuck on the 1), however he came EXACTLY on time, and only took 20 mins to fully replace the starter compared to the 1.5hrs igor took. I will update this review to change the high praise of abdul if my starter dies within the month, but at the moment i was very impressed. From his quick diagnosis also, he quotes igor made a obvious and terrible mistake that most mechanics would honestly only make if they worked on the car in complete darkness with no light; he worked on this at 2pm with not a single cloud in the sky. he installed it where the trigger wire was touching the hot wire as shown in the picture below with the blue triangle, indicating the failure of the part and this whole experience was due to INSTALL ERROR. It was a scary experience the car knocking and cranking even after the key was pulled out, and heavy smoke and smell of electrical fire coming from the hood, and not having the tools on hand in the car to detach the battery. All we could do was hurriedly take all of our valuables out of the car 20 feet away, call the police because of the potential fire, the knocking and screeching lasted about 10mins until the battery finally died. We are very lucky it didnt catch on fire, or worst caused the battery to completely fail and kill the brakes while we were on the highway 1 and rolled off a cliff. We had to cancel our 3 day camping trip and just go home because of this stressful situation. Anyways, youve been warned. If he was an honest mechanic, and addressed the issue immediately, this whole situation couldve been avoided entirely.
