When I first reached out to Detailed by Precision, it was because I wanted to do something meaningful for myself for my birthday. I wasn't just looking for a basic clean: I wanted a deep, intentional transformation of my car. Inside and out. Its been YEARS. I had contacted a few different places, but Lim immediately stood out. The way he communicated, his responsiveness (thougutful, caring, considerate), was really meaningful. Even though his portfolio mostly features higher-end luxury vehicles, he didn't make me feel out of place. If anything, he understood what I was trying to do and genuinely wanted to meet me there! The booking process was easy. He walked me through what to expect, and we started sharing photos back and forth. He even pointed out things like chipped paint and small areas of rust that he could help improve--things I hadn't fully considered. And I didn't know could be accomplished (thought I had to go to other shops, etc). Before I even met him in person, I already felt a sense of trust. When I dropped off my car, he did a full walkthrough and pointed out details I didn't initially notice. His quote felt fair, and more importantly, it felt honest. Throughout the process, he kept me updated with progress photos, which I honestly loved! I felt like I was part of the process: getting little previews of something I was really excited about. By the time pickup day came around, I already knew it was going to be special. But seeing it in person was something else. He walked me through everything they did--inside and out. Some areas needed extra care, and he clearly put in that effort. The inside reminded me like when I first got my car. The ceramic coating added that final layer of protection. And he even took the time to recommend other places if I wanted to continue restoring certain parts of the car. All of his recommendations have been stellar, kind, and Im proud to say I was recommended by Lim. What really stood out to me is that he treated my car with the same level of respect and attention as the high-end vehicles he usually works on. He even mentioned that it reminded him of when he first started--when someone is truly invested in transformation. And that's exactly what this experience felt like! Driving my car afterward didn't just feel like driving a clean car--it felt like a reset. It felt empowering. Like stepping into something new. That's exactly what I needed. Once again, Lim has saved my day. While parking, I scratched the surface of my car pretty deep from the corner of a fire extinguisher box in a parking garage. I've worked with Lim before, and knowing how knowledgeable and trustworthy he is, he was the first person I contacted. He told me the process of how to fix it - which involved calling the dealership and asking for the paint color, seeing if there was any clear coat on the car. And then just buying the paint. Lim is a true expert in his field, with a rigorous work ethic to provide the best service possible. I worked with him on scratch removal of scratches on the hood of my 2020 Porsche Macan. It had a several scratches from an object placed on the hood. I found Lim via yelp. I had a very tight timeline to fix up the hood since my vehicle was a lease return. Being mindful of my timeline, Lim was able to accommodate me same day for a touch up. After a quick review, Lim was able to suggest a treatment (wet sanding and machine polishing) for the hood, and quickly jumped on the work. After working on the hood, within an hour he had all the scratches removed, leaving the hood shining spotless. Lim was kind enough to not even charge me for the treatment. I insisted in him charging something for his work, but he said it was alright, and that he would love to work with me again. With my new car about to finally arrive at the dealer, I reached out to a few detailers, asking about options for paint protection for a new vehicle. Lim was the first to respond, and gave me a thorough, no-pressure explanation of the range of his services. When the car arrived, he was able to squeeze me in for a Level 1 exterior and a ceramic coat despite a pretty busy schedule. Lim told me ahead of time that he'd do an inspection, including checking for any previous damage, and I'd thought, "it's straight from the factory, and I didn't even let the dealer wash it, what damage could there be?". In five minutes, Lim found a spot where the paint was thinner on one side of the hood, and what looked like a scrape that had been partially buffed out, but not completely. I figured I was leaving the car with someone who knew what he was doing. Lim sent me photos with updates during the 36 hours he had the car, and at pickup, did a thorough walkaround, answered a ton of my questions, and gave me instructions for how to take care of the coating on my own. And the car looked fantastic. The faint traces of whatever had happened on the hood were totally gone, and the finish was perfect. As if I didn't already feel good about the money I spent on Lim's services, within five minutes of getting on the 101, a bird dropped a load right on my hood. It hit with a pretty gross explosion, disappeared into mist, and left no trace. When I got home, I found one tiny fleck left, wiped It off with a towel Lim had given me, and felt pretty good about springing for the ceramic coating. I had the protective coating on my Audi SQ5 on my hood removed which was peeling, scratched and all faded. It was a poor job when applied. I found Lim of DbyP and spoke to him several times as he explained the process for removing the coating, the steps he takes to remove the coating and what he does to restore the car to its original finish. I reached out to a few places to request a quote to repair a small gouge in my car. Lim at DetailedByPrecision was the quickest to respond. When I shared photos the issue, he quickly responded that he's not equipped to fix the issue and recommended a body shop. He could have simply sent me on my way or recommend a place for me to reach out directly. Instead, he said he will get a quote for me but since it was the weekend, he won't be able to get back to me until Monday. When Monday arrived, he quickly responded with a quote and said if I'm interested, to reach out to the auto body shop that he contacted. After some researching, I decided to bring in my brand new Audi Mythos Black RS5 to Lim. My car was in his shop for two weeks and the wait was definitely worth it. Lim did a full complete makeover on my RS5 since there were dealer wash swirls and leftover imperfections. He washed my car with the touchless method, did a full paint correction, did a full polish after the paint correction, and did a complete wipe down in the crevices and cracks of the car to remove any leftover compound/polishing dust. Lim also kept me updated via text with pictures on what he did on the car each day, which is a big plus.
