What a great find amongst so many other bigger restaurants nearby. This is a true mom and pop shop run by a hardworking husband and wife couple. The place can be easily missed as it's a small shop. Parking in the rear or street parking. They have a good variety of familiar noodle dishes. I finally got to try the chicken rice that is always sold out. Now I know why, the chicken meat was tender and flavorful. We also got the beef rib stew with egg noodles. The noodles gave the perfect chewiness. The beef stew was aromatic and I can taste the long hours of it being cooked. The hot and sour noodle soup was a great pack of flavors. This is nostalgic of home cooked noodles. The pickled veggies, meat, egg and spices gave a rich bowl of heartiness. We got a surprise with a free giant beef rib soup when we ordered $50 of food. I would give zero stars if I can! We came for lunch on a hot day. They don't have a waiting list and they did not acknowledge if they saw that I said I had 2 people in the party. They just looked up when I came in and didn't come by to see what we were here for. There was another party waiting when we arrived and then another party of 4 arrived after us and got seat before us. We ordered the Special Beef Noodle Soup and Crabmeat Tomato Basil noodle soup. Both were horrible. The Special Beef Noodle soup is their version of Pho Dac Biet. It was salty. It didn't have the pho flavors. The meats were lacking. I took a few bites and threw it away. I couldn't eat it, it was way too salty. The Crabmeat Tomato Basil Noodle Soup looks like Bun Rieu. It wasn't good either. The flavors are off. It was Friday night and there were no customers inside the restaurant. I should've taken that as a clue to leave instead of wasting $30. read more

Such amazing comfort food serving Cantonese and Vietnamese noodles. The house noodle is my favorite and the flavor profile is something that tasted so nostalgic. Kid really liked it. He said it was 4.75 stars Small house special noodles - not as much noodles as the beef noodles but it is adequate for an adult. My niece didn't finish her order. I was able to finish mine. I felt the soup was a bit bland. 3.5 stars. My nephew put way too much chilli oil in his bowl of noodles. Found this location by accident. I was looking for the bao store that used to be at this location. Noticed the cute bear Thai tea and decided give it a try. Turned out a good decision. The bear is totally eatable. I misunderstood the owner and found out later it is refillable one time. My beef noodle is good and came with raw/cook beef, tender, beef balls and tripe. The only thing missing is the usual basils you got at the Vietnamese pho place. The other noodle is good too and used different type of noodle. The chicken in the chili sauce is specially good for me. I just like it. I even used the sauce to eat with my noodles. lol read more

We got one of their top noodles #5 house special rice noodles with white noodles, egg rolls, FiveFive sour and hot rice noodles, Thai ice bear milk tea, and salted ume with sparkling soda. Their House Special Rice Noodles is definitely a must try, because it has a good combo of meat and seafood with a flavorful broth. Can you believe that my bowl is considered small?! Their Egg Rolls was crispy and delicious. While their Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce was interesting to eat, because it was cold, but tasted hot LOL. The Salted Ume Sparkling Soda was delicious and we actually added more water, only for it to magically still taste the same a few hours later. I only took a bite of my bf's large size FiveFive Sour and Hot rice noodles, so I can't say much about it, other than how it's alright, but it's personally not my preference due to the distinct smell/taste like stinky tofu. However, I thought that the Thai Ice Bear Milk Tea was so cute for pictures and it also tasted good too. Didn't get to eat here, since it was packed and basically got cut in line simply because the other party knew the owner. It was 95degree outside today, and we decided not to go and went else where. There's no clear indication of queue at all. There was a party in front of us waiting and another party came by, instead of the party in front of us got seated first, it was given to the party that just got there, simply because they knew the people working there. And that's not okay especially if there were already parties waiting, and the place was already packed. I was disappointed I didn't get a bear ice cube but that may be because I took it to go. I'll have to dine there next time to ensure I get a bear. Second time here, and I can confirm this place is great! I ordered the house special, and it's satisfying if you're sick and need something with less flavor. The pho Dac biet here is yummy! It was funny as a Vietnamese American walking in and being greeted in mandarin, but I guess it is a fusion Vietnamese/Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant. Also it is Arcadia after all loool. This place is walking distance from my house, compared to other pho and chiu chow noodle joints in Arcadia it has great prices (a dollar or two less than other restaurants). The food is fresh and clean, it might not be the "best" of each type of noodle I've tasted but something about how clean it feels keeps it light and delicious in a different way.
