I am very disappointed with my experience with this business. From start to finish, there was a clear lack of accountability. Issues were raised multiple times and either ignored or deflected, with no real effort to take responsibility or provide solutions. My truck had multiple issues, at one point I had it towed to the business. TJ, who paid for the tow bill told me that I could have driven my truck to his shop, instead he had to "eat" the tow bill. Sorry.... I was not going to drive a broken truck to a shop, with the possibility of breaking it more. Customer service was poor and unprofessional. Communication was inconsistent, and concerns were not handled with the care or respect a customer should expect. The workmanship itself was unacceptable. The quality of work was low and did not meet basic standards, let alone what was promised. I ultimately had to deal with additional stress and inconvenience because the job was not done correctly. To further my frustration, I recently took my truck to another shop to be inspected because I did not trust TJ's work. To my surprise, the shop that inspected my truck told me that they found improper hardware used on my lift, my front axel seal was leaking, and certain parts from my lift kit were not even installed. I had Five-R install a 3 inch lift, Rhino Wheels, BF Goodrich AT3 tires, Fab Fours bumper, Winch and Rough Country light bar and it came out great at a very fair price. If you are a entitled child and feel like you need someone to hold your hand through the process of customizing your truck without doing any research this is not the place for you. Do some research before you go in and talk to them. They are not sales people trying to sell you a bunch of stuff for your truck that you do not need. My experience with them was good. I like the fact that I asked them to order some items and install them without any up selling. Most shops will be overly nice while trying to bend you over. read more

Oof , man these reviews are scary! However, I was treated with loads of respect and the customer service I received was spot on. I needed a damper kit for my tailgate and after calling what seemed to be 10 places, these guys found one. Kyle had looked one up , said he'd have it in a day. All other places wouldn't get the part for about 10 days-1 month! Kyle calls the next day , checks the tracking and says " c'mon in , should be here soon" Unfortunately, between the call and arrival to pick up the damper, there was a change in shipping arrival, and no call was made to update on that status. That sucked. Felt like wasted time and gas. So that's the only reason it wasn't 5 stars, for lack of communication. The 4 awesome stars were for them finding the part in the first place , tracking where it was, calling and letting the place where the damper was at to tell them hold it so it could be picked up same day ( no delays were very appreciated ) even though I drove to get the part myself at the other location , I am glad that they even had found the part. Look , it seems like this place is family and friends run. I see that hard work is being shown in that shop. Even to little guys. ( you guys are doing a good job by the way , respectful little guys ) Its a small business and I appreciate the good service when I was in the shop. read more

Opinion: The guys at the front desk, particularly Sean Lockwood, have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Seems like the only person that cared about customer service was Shawna Johner, who ironically was the person to facilitate getting me a return label and refund my money. Pretty sure if you come in as an average customer, they don't care one bit about you. Issue: I bought shocks from these guys in November '18 during a state-to-state move. Since I drove my truck, I had them look at the shock setup I had so to make sure they ordered what I needed. Again, I was moving out of state and wanted to make sure we'd get it right the first time. Three times they ended up sending me the wrong shocks. One of the shipments looked like a set of refurbs and again wasn't even for my truck or lift application. Throughout all of that I had sent emails multiple times, one with photos and another with shock part numbers right from the manufacturer. Yet, the boys up front must not have cared because I never heard from them. In the end, I had to file a charge dispute through my bank to generate any feedback from Five R Truck. Today, 4-18-19, I finally got my money back from them and am glad to say I'll never do business with them ever again. read more

Tj sold me tires and agreed they could mount and balance them and for some reason they made me pay before they were put on. After they were mounted they tried to hold my truck ransom for $100 that they said was to mount and balance them. After a long argument I told them to put my old tires back on and they immediately told me to just not worry about it. Clearly Tj was trying to make some side money off of me. Hell they should've just charged more for the tires or told me upfront they charge extra to mount and balance tires that you buy from them. Also there was a guy that came in while I was waiting and they had ordered the wrong wheels for his truck and they were trying to make him pay to exchange wheels that they messed up. Ordered two parts from 5 R Trucks. The first came in with the wrong assembly pieces and the second didn't arrive. After attempting to call and either being placed on hold for long periods of time -or- commitments to call back that went unfulfilled for days, I decided just to visit the shop. All told after 6 trips to the shop I finally had the assembly pieces replaced but had missing parts. The second item never arrived at all (which I was told was only across town and they would have it later that day). After 2-1/2 months they agreed to ship the part but it never arrived. TJ, Steve, Cowboy, Bill, & Jake all continued to give great stories about what happened or what will happen that were not accurate. They finally told me who the owner was (Steve) and he told me he spoke to me in a previous conversation where I not only received the parts but signed for them. They finally refunded some of my money for the non-received items. They also apologized after the owner told me that I rubbed him raw. Sorry I rubbed him raw after almost 6 months but glad to be away from them. I still had a missing control piece and had to fix a switch but just glad to not have any more of my time wasted. Not a place to prepay for parts. They will also move your vehicle if you leave the keys in it. I will not go back. read more

They have messed up our truck not once but 3 times, two out of 3 has been dangerous. First time had Toyo tires put on and was driving a week later and my tire fell off and they fixed it for free, then put shocks on and they fell off because they weren't properly installed, so they said they would give me a deal on a lift & new shocks. ($3,400) later and not even four months they didn't properly install pins and nuts weren't tight enough. I am a mom, not only did they risk my safety they also cost me a lot of money. I will not ever go back and will not accept this shotty service. Oh I also ordered my hubcaps there multiple times for my fuel tires and six months later no word. Good thing I went through someone else. read more

This shop has 100% gone downhill. To me it seemed that the ownership was visibly burnt out and did not care about their reputation anymore. The kids at the front try their hardest to help and stick to a deadline but it seems like lack of leadership and an extreme lack of organization leads to trucks taking 2-3 days past the expected finish at least. I actually felt bad having to stay late one night as I could tell the kid at the front was visibly stressed and embarrassed having to go back and forth to keep telling me my truck was still not finished. Good luck ever getting a call back from TJ as I have given up hope and just talk to the other salesmen. Also I have witnessed what seems like laziness or no pride in work with finished projects as I and many of my friends have had to bring our trucks back for simple mistakes or work not being finished (all of these mistakes could have been avoided if owners would just check work before it leaves for quality control). Hopefully the attitude of this shop turns around before the inevitable close of this once great truck shop. read more

Terrible shop with questionable ethics. They can't even do bolt-on jobs correctly. Stay away.

I ordered a BDS lift kit for my 2018 2500 through Five R. Took almost 3.5 months which was crazy. They explained that had a problem with an employee and they would take care of me. Finally got the kit and took it in for them to do. They tore the whole front end apart then said that they were missing a part. Had to put it all back together stock. Took another 3 weeks for the part to get. Then once the lift was on and I took it in for a re-torque. I came home and had to tighten 16 more bolts that were so loose that I had to spin them 4-5 times before they were tight. Had some more knocking in the back end and found that one of my rear shocks were barely hanging on with the bolt on the upper mount. The customer service was absolutely terrible and would never recommend them to anyone. Just to top it off the shop was disgusting. Looked like they hadn't cleaned anything in years including the toilets. Only reason I went to these guys is because someone recommended them. They must have been on crack. read more

I bought an ATTA extra diesel tank, and had 5R install it because they are an official installer of ATTA tanks. They were recommended by the manufacturer. I made an appointment, told it would be done by 1100. At 5pm, it still was not done. Ok. No problem. I know things go like this sometimes. Except when I came at 1100 they had not started, and when I showed up at 330pm, (they told me it would be done at 4pm. They had just started on it. After installation, the tank was leaking badly. To make a long story short, I had to take the truck in a total of 5 more times, for leaking, and once because the fuel pump was installed with the flow reversed. The top seal was redrilled so much, (they kept trying to tighten with a screw gun and would strip the bolts) that metal shavings clogged the pump. The owner apologized to me, and I think he was sincere. I didn't want to write this article, however, it started to leak again so I took it to a Mechanic I know would do a good job, and it cost me $240 to fix properly. Imagine he pressurized the fuel system to make sure there were no leaks. With 5R I believe my service was placed on the back burner, then rushed. read more

do not trust them with your truck. had a lift, air bags and tires installed. took them 5 days had to bring it back twice. my truck still was all over the road. they blamed it on the lift manufacturer. I took my truck to another BDS installer. $350 later found out the front track bar bracket was installed incorrect and bolts were loose. rear bracket was the wrong part number air bags leak. and all 4 of my tires were never balanced. I regret ever taking my truck there.They may make trucks look good but if you want a reliable truck you are better off doing it yourself read more

Had heard great things about these guys but unfortunately they are just the opposite. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Brought my truck In For a simple bumper swap and new headlights. What I received was not the bumper that I ordered and it was damaged. Asked if I needed to buy a new trailer hitch before I agreed on the rear bumper, was told the new bumper would work with no problems no need for a new hitch. When I arrived to pick up my truck, hitch was not installed and I was told that I needed to buy an after market one. The guys were very apologetic and offered me one at their cost. Not very good business if you don't know the products you sell. Feels like blatant disregard for the customer. I said I wasn't happy about the front or rear bumper or the hitch. Said if they ordered another front bumper to swap out it would take forever because they weren't sure they had it at the distribution warehouse and that they weren't gonna eat the cost of all of this. Exact words from the sales person. After saying I wasn't ok with this they finally offered me to keep the front one already installed and they would eat the cost of the hitch. I though ok still not happy but at least they're trying. Said ok they installed the hitch and while doing so broke the mount for my exhaust. And the rear bumper is crooked by 1/2". Reverse sensors are not working correctly either. That's really poor and will not be returning for them to fix. Who knows what else they can mess up. Will point anyone and everyone I know in a different direction to mod their trucks. They probably lost another $4000 from me also as I will not be letting them lift my truck. read more

Five R is great to work with and I have had a few great customer service experiences with them. They installed the lift on my truck along with a set of shocks that I brought in from my own purchase. One of the shocks that I brought in was bad and they replaced it with one of their shocks free of charge and handled the warranty work on it. This saved me a ton of time and a huge headache. Later, I finally decided to do the upper control arms as my ball joints were shot on my F150. They ordered in a set from Fabtech, spent two hours installing them only to realize that a part that was supposed to fit my truck, didn't. They put my truck back together, didn't charge me for any of the labor and helped me research a part that would fit. They then scheduled me quickly to get the new part installed and had the work done within two days of the first mishap (which was no fault of Five R). Five R beat out all of the dealerships on price and they installed a heavy duty Ready Lift upper control arm vs a factory OEM part. The guys are great to work with and very professional. Excellent amount of knowledge on stock and custom trucks and can get practically anything you need. They also have a balancing machine specializing in oversize tires and will match pricing on tires. I have been to Discount 5 times now and they still can't balance my 35's correctly. Very happy with Five R. One note is to make sure to schedule an appointment with them for any work as they can be very busy. Do good work and you get a lot of customers! read more

Took my Pickup in to have 4:56 gears installed and a new front drive line. Was told that the work would take up to two days which I had no problem with. The second day came so I called to get an update, TJ's service writer answered the phone and I asked if the service was still on schedule, he told me that he would have TJ call me back, 3 hrs later no call! I called again and was told again the TJ would call me back, another 1.5hrs and no return call. I called again and was actually able to talk to TJ, I asked him where they were at with the vehicle and he told me that the gear swap was almost complete but they had not gotten the drive line to their shop that was going to rebuild it. Honestly I was already irritated from not getting any return calls from TJ so I said to him and I quote "lets get down to the brass tacks here...what is it going to take to get this job done" to which TJ replied F$%k off and hung up on me. I collected my thoughts and drove to 5R trucks to speak directly with this class act knowing full well that they still had my rig and it needed to be put back together. I walked in and TJ was just as nice as pie, I told him not to worry about the drive line and he told me it would be ready the next day. I picked it up the next day and never looked back. It will be a cold day in hell before I ever do business with this place again. I cant put into words just how disappointed I am with their customer service. read more
