Our sons hosted the party for us, and from the very first conversation through the end of the night, Angela was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. We reserved the upstairs space, which was perfect for our group and created a warm, fun atmosphere. Angela helped us plan the bar setup and provided an excellent drink menu featuring their whiskey/bourbon, tequila, gin, and vodka. Even though Herman Marshall doesn't serve beer or wine, they allowed us to bring in our own with a corking fee, and we were also able to bring in our own catering service, which worked out great. We were assigned two servers for the evening, and both did an outstanding job keeping up with drink orders and checking on our guests without ever feeling intrusive. One of the best compliments I can give is that many of our usual beer and wine drinkers ended up ordering mixed drinks instead--and really enjoyed them. That says a lot about how good their cocktails are, especially for people who don't normally choose mixed drinks. We don't typically leave reviews, but the venue, the service, and the overall experience at Herman Marshall Distillery were truly exceptional. Angela and the whole team helped make our 40th anniversary a night we'll never forget. We highly recommend this place for any special event.

The day we visited there were food trucks and other events. They also had live music on the patio They offer tours of the distillery, which I would very much recommend. You can purchase tickets online. While you wait in their cozy lounge area, go up to the bar and try one of their signature (or classic) cocktails. The cocktails at the bar are tasty and fun. The gin is their best seller, and it was honestly my favorite. I would also recommend their old fashion The tour was very interesting. You start in a large drinking hall where everyone has covered tasting samples. Each sample has information provided, and there is plenty of water to keep you hydrated and to cleanse the palate. The tour guide walks you through the tastings, and provides some history and other information. When we went we tasted their vodka, 1800s Bourbon, honey whiskey, their gin, and another whiskey. After the tasting you walk through the distillery and get a tour of where the magic happens (stills, filtration, labs, storage, etc). The operation is truly incredible, and the tour offers a variety of great picture-taking moments with beautiful pieces of equipment, walls lined with wooden barrels, and neon novelty signs Some tips: They frequently do events, and you can see their schedule online. They had a Father's Day promo code when we went that got Dad's in for free. They also had a cigar vendor and lounge that gave away cigars to dads. It was pouring rain when we arrived, the walk from the parking lot to the front door isn't covered, so, plan accordingly. We arrived shorty before our scheduled time, and the distillery was just opening. Don (co-owner) welcomed me and told us to come on in. The space is very welcoming, and we immediately felt comfortable. We were fortunate enough that Don took care of us. He told us about the beginnings of the distillery, how he and his partner got started, and how they have continued to evolve. Their attention to details are unmatched. Their gin, bourbon, and vodka were all top-notch, and we were very impressed by the personalized tour. Don's passion and knowledge made the experience truly memorable. We learned so much about artisan products, and the efforts that go into making them. I strongly recommend this experience to others. Their spirits taste really good. We could've stayed longer, as comfortable as Don made us feel. We were able to sample most of their products and we had two amazing cocktails each. We purchased the Artisanal Gin, the Barrel Finished Gin, and the Blended Bourbon. My wife surprised me with a bottle of the Blended Bourbon, and Don presented it in a very nice gift bag. He actually dedicated the bottles to us and signed them. We're looking forward to bringing our friends for another visit soon. I had reserved a tour for 3 (I highly recommend that you do the tour and if you choose to do a tour that you make reservations in advance as they sell out) and initially I did 2 with bottle fills and one tour. The tours come with a ticket for a drink so that was a nice little extra. As the tour started Ryan & Diego (our fabulous guides) gave us some history of how the company started and as well as the process of how the vodka is made. We got to mix our bottle (as we got the lemon) and fill our bottles. We also got to put the caps on the bottle and see how the line works. At the end of the tour, we also got to taste some vodka. After the tour we decided to go get our drinks and the staff inside were just as kind as the staff taking us on the tour. There are so many drink options that I wasn't sure what I wanted as they have so many flavored vodkas. I was told I could sample the vodkas which I was grateful for as it helped me make a decision. My cousin got the raspberry cobbler and the Bloody Mary - the raspberry was sweet but good and I don't like bloody Mary's but I'd drink this one! I got the blueberry lemon, the prickly pear and the front porch . . . All were good to me. When we were there they had some guys playing music inside which was a little loud but sitting on the porch, it was nice to hear. They also had a pizza food truck outside and my cousin said the pizza was really good. If I could make a suggestion to the establishment I would ask them to PLEASE sell flights!
