We recently visited Sugar Ridge Winery again and they have added a full kitchen and lots of food options for you. My husband and I tried the bruschetta (Delicious), Reuben Sandwich, served with chips and a pickle (Delicious) and flat bread with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell pepper, jalepenos (Super Delicious). The flatbread was loaded with what seemed like fresh ingredients and the pizza crust was nice and crunchy. Enjoyed the atmosphere like always and Grandpa's Porch sweet red wine. It was a perfect evening on a patio in Texas.

Made alittle detour on the way back to Plano, Tx ftom Houston! This winery is awesome! Weather was beautiful & sat outside on the patio listening to amazing music! My husband & I did the wine tasting & kept the glass. Then he had the frozen sangria & I had a red - Marriage. Delicious! The staff is super pleasant & informative!! Enjoyed all the history of each of the wines.

Very friendly staff and amazing surrounding area which is gorgeous with greenery and some rolling hills on the drive in. Their fruity wines are sweet and refreshing for the summer and the prices are extremely affordable. When we went it was $25 for 10 tastings and $18 for a charcuterie box with more than enough snackings for 2 people, but could be split up to 4. Will definitely return, this place is a gem and only about 30 minutes from central Dallas.

We really enjoyed this cute little gem, on the outskirts of Dallas. I wouldn't say the wine is top tier (if you are a wine snob, you know who you are, and that's ok!) But if you are looking to try a bunch of new wines and are really there to enjoy the atmosphere and the company, you will really enjoy it. They offer a wine tasting that covers a bunch of tastings, and I mean a bunch! They also have really cute wine names with a story behind each name. We bought several bottles! Great family-owned business. We were happy to support them!

Planned my best friends engagement to happen at the pond! The staff was incredible & so accommodating to make this surprise proposal happen. They also have great wine, so it was a win win.

Lovely outdoor area with lots of seating options, a few rockers, picnic tables, high top tables, and a fire place.

What a cute winery! We loved the "cave" inside, which would be perfect on a cold day. Lots of cute options in their little gift shop area. The outdoor patio area is super cute with lots of seating options. A perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine. We did the dry red tasting and enjoyed their Tempranillo. Cheers!

This was my first time here and first time doing the wine tasting. I enjoyed the experience, food and wine! Amber and Miranda were sooo nice. You are giving a paper of the wines they have and they have pricing and the description. Wine tasting is $25 for 10 different wines of your choice and comes with souvenir wine glass. I really enjoyed that Miranda was explaining the back stories of the wines and her recommendations on how to pair the wine with. That girl knew what she was talking about! The bruschetta was delicious and I cannot forget the cheese and meat plate was delicious!!! Loved the hot pepper jelly!!! I had their cannoli's which were good and too sweet that cut my alcohol but not complaining. The inside was warm and cozy, and the patio was a pretty good size. A lot of space to choose for seating. They have a fireplace outside and inside as well. Bathrooms were located outside. I took some bottles home with me for gift and myself. Overall a good place to go for a good time. Also, you are limited to phone service since it's out in the country which I didn't mind, it's always good to disconnect from social networks.

Based on that experience, I booked the Fredericksburg Vintner Winery Tour & Italian Lunch for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, less than an hour before the tour was scheduled to begin, it was canceled. We were notified by email that the scheduled driver had experienced a medical emergency and the backup driver was already assisting with another event. The company apologized and offered to double our winery tour credits, provide free tickets to any 2025 Wino Fest, and allow us to attend a Boat Bash on Lake Travis that same day. While I appreciated the gesture, the Boat Bash offer was impossible to accept. We received the email around 10:00 a.m., and the event began at 11:30 a.m. We were already in Fredericksburg, so there was no realistic way to drive to Lake Travis in time. Although my birthday plans were ruined, I understood that emergencies happen and accepted the four winery tour credits and two Wino Fest tickets for future use. A year later, for my birthday in July 2026, I decided to use my credits to book the same Fredericksburg winery tour. We arrived at the designated meeting location early and waited for the tour to begin. The scheduled start time came and went, but no driver or tour vehicle ever arrived. Even more frustrating, there was no communication whatsoever to let us know there was a delay, cancellation, or any other issue. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the company but did not receive a response for more than an hour. Richard eventually replied by email, stating that the driver had picked up the vehicle on time and that their digital roster showed the other attendees had joined the tour. This only added to my confusion because I had arrived early at the exact meeting location provided in their confirmation link. I even replied with a screenshot from their own link showing where I had been instructed to meet, but I never received another response that day. The following day, I again requested an explanation for what had happened and asked for a refund. I received no response to either request. After two consecutive years of having my birthday plans ruined by this company, I can no longer recommend them. My communications have been with Richard, and based on my experience, I feel I was treated unfairly and ignored when I tried to resolve the situation. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking and hopefully avoid the disappointment that I experienced.

After getting to know the sisters, I booked a tour for September 2010, which kicked off a month of touring Italy on my own. The trip itself was life-changing, and I still think back to my days in a Tuscan villa with Gina, Mary, and my fellow hungry travelers. First, we had an AMAZING kick-off to our trip with dinner in a Siena piazza alongside members of Gina's contrada as they celebrated their win during the summer's palio event. I'm sure few, if any, Americans can say they've been to such a festival, and I'm so thankful to have had such a unique experience! The rest of the week was full of cooking, amazing food, wine (oh, the wine!), and - most importantly to a shutterbug - loads of photo opps. We met a pig farmer (cinta senese pigs-- super cute, and, coincidentally, delicious) who is also an olive oil taster, we toured vineyards, ate in fantastic restaurants, learned some important Italian phrases, and more. And, I really learned to relax in the kitchen (plus, my friends and family are loving the dishes from Gina's cookbook!). I love a good time, I'm a foodie, a food geek, and just a regular geek, and I just can't say enough good things about this adventure. I'd go back again, and again, and again if my piggy bank and waist-line could handle it! Gina and Mary are passionate professionals, and after my week in Tuscany, they are my friends.
