Showed up ad hoc on a Saturday night with 9 people. Place looked packed but they easily and quickly accommodated us. Outdoor bench area was cool... and kept cool even though it was a hot June evening Vibe was really good. Kid and dog friendly ... a great time for a family get-out. Fun reggae music with crowd participation. Service was outstanding. It might have taken awhile to get out food, but given the night and the fact that we were having so much fun, it didn't matter. Constant refill of sweet tea was a tip enhancer! Good selection of food... ok, not great. Tried the fish bites and the chicken sandwich - Both were a little to heavily breaded and fried a bit long for me but tasted ok. Excellent fries. The crowd of 9 all seemed good with what they ordered. Definitely will return ... a few other items on the menu seem worth trying. read more

The atmosphere is fun and lively, the live singer was quite talented. The steak sandwich was great, but the fish fry special was lackluster at best. The fish was greasy and the portion size was minuscule. The "homemade chips", were indeed homemade burnt. The lone saving grace was the tartar sauce, it was very nice. We had the best burger we've had in a really long time last night at Figs Backyard. It was their classic burger with 2 smash burgers, cheese, all the fixings and mustard and mayonnaise mixed together and the French fries were perfect too! They had huge outdoor AC units and a million misters so you couldn't tell it was 99 degrees outside. The chef came out and we were so impressed!! Really top notch!! read more

Pick up order during the week and the staff was very helpful and willing to customize our smashburger order with fries. Burger was delicious, toasted buns, nice char on the meat and dripping with melted cheese. Quality of food for this location where most of the food is fast-food is on par with what we're used to in DFW. Nice atmosphere too with options for games and air-conditioned bar. read more

Went for my birthday dinner last night and was so so so disappointed in the experience as they did not have actual food on hand that was listed on the online and then in restaurant printed menu. Five of the seven of us were told that the restaurant didn't have what we wanted so had to order other things but even after that , they didn't have what we wanted and had to order yet again. The server was not equipped to take care of the lack of menu items and also struggled to keep our drinks refilled and our table bussed. read more

To start, I hope if you're going to this restaurant you like parking in a sketchy gravel parking lot. The service at this restaurant is worse than any service I've ever received anywhere which is absolutely unacceptable considering they charge $25 or more for pretty much everything on the menu. I asked for wings. It took an hour to get the wings. The wings were cold. By the way, apparently the "figs" think house made just means that you use the sauce that somebody else made i.e. Melinda's and you put a masquerade on it to make it seem more appealing. Oh, and all this restaurant is complete shit and I would not recommend even if you were starving. It is the only thing inside. By the way, the "live band" was probably the worst band I've ever heard in my entire life. For the people who like it congratulations because the volume will stay at the highest level the entire time you were there. For everyone else, you are doomed. read more

This is so neat. It's open air but they manage to keep the air cool with misters and fans. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. We go the crab bites and they are very good. We split the burnt ends grilled cheese and the birria grilled cheese and both were great. The burnt ends are in a sweet sauce which isn't my jam but my wife loved it. Birria was great and the parsley fries were top notch. Could eat a bucket of them. They had a love performer. Whole place is a vibe. We got ranch for dipping our fries and y'all!! They got that GOOD ranch! They also have a huge selection of the Melinda's sauces and ketchup. We got lavender ice cream and it was amazing also check out the shop! So much good stuff. First and last time visit. We were told their busy our waitress may be a while. We ordered drinks and chips, 4 adults/ 2 young children, through another person, 4 beers, 4 waters and 2 kids drinks, chips and queso. Around 10 mins later we received 2 waters, chips and 1 salsa, a few minutes later 3 beers, more salsa, queso and were told they could only find 1 kids cup but were looking for more. Finally received 2 kids drinks still waiting on the last beer. We had to get condiments from another table. We didn't see our waitress for another 25 mins. Finally found her, waved her down, she says the other girl said she took your order. We said no, she took our order. 35 mins have gone by, we flag the waitress down to check on our order, she leaves and comes back a few mins later and says it will be 5 to 7 mins more. People on 2 sides of us have came, ate and left. 20 mins have gone by suddenly one of our children started throwing up, we chase the waitress down again, ask for help with the throw up on the ground. The waitress brings an empty ice bucket, she seems upset helping. We tell her we now need the order to go. A man came over and apologized saying they were busy tonight ( I swear we heard "We're busy" 30 times) they would get our order as fast as they could. We ask for the check while we are waiting on our order. I admit I was upset, in the 2 hours were there, we had been forgotten about, obviously. When the waitress finally brought the to go sacks out, she mentioned "they were busy" AGAIN! I told her that 2 tables had came and went and we still had no food. The waitress told me, " No way, were just busy! Next time just get your order to go!" I said, "there won't be a next time." The waitress replied, " GOOD!" Not only will we never go back here, we will never go to Figs Steakhouse or anything Figs own! Too bad you spent so much money opening such an ill-ran business. Certainly wasn't worth the $160 we spent tonight. read more

Family vacation ending last meal went bad. Apps were good. Waited and enjoyed music. Drank a beverage, things went good. Hour passed did not received food. Kids were getting antsy. We're told meal coming. But another half an hour passed. Told seven more minutes....still no meal. Always 7 more minutes...Bad for the kids. Had to leave. Fault of manager not stepping up and taking care of paying patrons. Cannot say we will return to this establishment. They do not take care of customers. Especially visitors who come to this area every year. This was a very bad experience. 2 and 1/2 hours. I feel us not being locals made a difference. So I will not advise visitors to go. Our experience this evening has been sub-par. We had a reservation at 7:00. BTW, we have been here multiple times and highly recommended for others. However, this evening was been very disappointing. First off, we ordered wine and literally, our glasses had about an inch of wine at $12 bucks a pop! What in the world! Then our order was not submitted timely. As such, we received our starter salad was finally delivered at 8:00 pm! Then the waiter asked if we wanted another glass of wine. We said only if it is comped. He noted he was going to comp the salad instead. The he came by and said he had discussed with the Manager and the wine could not be comped. That is total BS. My husband and I have gone to many of the finest restaurants in the US and have always been acknowledged when the service or food has been to expectations. The Manager did not have the professionalism to come talk to us. Then the pièce de résistance was that the salad was still on the bill. I do not know what has happened to your establishment, but we will not be back. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere is welcoming, but the customer service is disappointing. With the exception of the hostess and another female waitress, the evening was a bust, an $85 bust! Shame, shame on the Manager for not taking care of his customers!!!! read more

Went to Figs Backyard tonight for take out BBQ The Ribs were fall off the bone delicious along with the moist brisket. This pace has the best BBQ on Cedar Creek Lake. I've been indoors for dinner for there pork belly's which are absolutely delectable. I can't say enough about this place when you die inside, they have live music and it's a wonderful place to go to on a Friday or Saturday night to just chill. read more

My family lives by the lake, and they haven't stopped raving about Fig & Parsley and how much it adds to the area. Last Saturday, we finally went there for a small birthday and Father's Day lunch. Unfortunately, based on the service, food, and drinks, none of us (including our family by the lake) will be returning. Almost everything we tried to order was unavailable, including straws (though other tables had them), beer (even though Brookshires is nearby), and several food items. The menu is limited, which is understandable given the restaurant's size, but if one busy night affects your availability for the entire weekend, it might be worth reevaluating your vendor relationships. The food we did manage to order was disappointing and seemed overpriced for the quality. The smash burgers were overcooked, the shrimp tasted fishy, and the side salads were just plain mixed greens without any additional vegetables or toppings. The lackluster service was the final disappointment during our disastrous lunch. Fig & Parsley charges Dallas prices but lacks the amenities of a proper sit-down restaurant. Given the issues we experienced, I would strongly reconsider dining at their tables. read more

This place is awesome! Food was great, lots of attentive staff, great atmosphere and live entertainment. The pavilion is well built, offers cover from the weather and the sun. Full bar and Henry's Ice cream stand on site. We went into the general store after dinner and were very impressed on their selection of fine foods and snack items.
