Had to give this small place a try after I heard so much about it. Located in Eustace, TX. Gave the wings a try 99 cent wings Wednesday what a deal also got the Mac n cheese I heard about. The inside is clean small and a little dark but nice. So after getting my wings I drove home about 2 min away and opened my bag. The wings did not have much sauce which I understood due to the breading when I bit into the first flavor the spicy bbq it had flavor but the wings were soggy and not cooked all the way same with the buffalo had to throw them into the air fryer for a bit. So I opened the Mac n cheese and let me say it was delicious I understood the craze on this side dish. The wings now the flavor on the spicy bbq was awesome not so much the regular buffalo. But I ate them. Now that night I got sick and I hadn't had anything else that day and I won't say it's because of the food but I couldn't rule this out. Let's just say I had stomach issues. I can't speak for all the food here, but I question going back. The service was very nice and helpful when it came to the menu. So how was your experience here let me know. We have visited Chef Cassy's food truck at the Mabank truck yard in the past and are looking forward to eating at the new restaurant coming to Eustace. We had lunch at the food truck in front of the new location again today. The honey pecan glazed wings are my favorite. The fried collard greens are also fantastic. I have been watching Chef Cassy on various forms of media for several years now...Texas State Fair interviews, Guy Fieri Grocery Store competition, etc. She's the real deal In Eustace, Texas! The food Is fabulous! Her state fair Fried Collard Greens are delicious! The catfish is fried to perfection with ample size planks! The French fries are seasoned perfectly...hard to describe even! This was our first visit and likely our last. The food was equivalent to what you would get at a fast food restaurant. We sent Friday 8/2/24 and the Chef was not there. The waitress told us that it was her first day and she was unaware that it was BYOB. Fortunately her mother was at a table near us and confirmed we could have our own wine. Fortunately we bought our own corkscrew as this place did not have one and only offers plastic glasses and utensils. We ordered their specialty, Collard Greens as an appetizer. We received three wontons stuffed with collard greens. Not bad, but certainly not worth the $12 charged (they were the equivalent of $4 each). The waitress told us they were out of Brisket, Fries and Beans. We had the chicken strips and fried shrimp plates both with onion rings. The 3 little chicken strips were over cooked and we could have had something better at a fast food restaurant. The charge for both was $12.
