A gem in the small town of Van. Living in the Austin area, I have eaten many tacos from food trailers and these compare with the best.

Azalea Catering Company - More brunch!!!!

Azalea Catering Company

Pretty. Had a great at home brunch for four compliments of a silent auction win. Azalea's typically…read moredoes tables for 25+ pax so our small party was not the norm but the set up/ hands off approach is the same. How it works is this, you call, schedule your meal time, give your address and party numbers and that's it. Azalea will arrive in the time needed for you to eat on time ( about an hour for us), and they bring everything, from napkins to glasses there is nothing you need to do, clean or prep for and as you see they make a beautiful table. There is no rush to eat since the catering company departs, you will receive any needed information (ie put all dishes in this basket) and they return at a later time/ date to collect. The food is cute, mini and gives a nice presentation. For taste I'd give 3 stars, it's ok but there is plenty of variety if you like one thing over another. I think the average plate is $25-$75 depending on what you order/ if mimosas are involved etc. it was a fun experience.

So amazing! Absolutely recommend them for all your catering needs! They made my daughter's wedding…read moreso special. The bride and groom wanted a simple lunch of fancy sandwiches, with sides of fruit and veggies, after charcuterie for the cocktail hour. Despite the simplicity, Cherished Events made the food beautiful and everything was well thought out. Cherish also worked with us to accommodate all the various food allergies of our guests which was so important to us! We had a separate table for gluten free options, and everything was made without artificial dye or nuts. Cherish even watched to be sure the bride and groom got enough to eat (something that often gets overlooked). Cherish and her helpers were so professional and kind throughout the entire day, we really appreciated that as well. I was also very grateful for her help with other things! She helped me know what plates would be best, how many drinks to have on hand, and was helpful with any other questions about wedding planning in general that I had since we didn't hire a professional planner. And even though she wasn't contracted for drinks she brought drink despensers for the tea and lemonade I bought separately and kept them filled! So, so impressed! 100% recommend!!

We are so thankful to have found her through our wedding venue: The Black Oak in Sulphur Springs, Tx and would recommend her a million times over to any bride! The day of our wedding she had the best team helping her execute on getting everyone served!

Jonathan and Southern Gentlemen catered a celebration of life we held for my departed uncle last…read moremonth. The food was REALLY tasty and my departed uncle would have loved it: sliders (brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken), green chili mac & cheese, loaded potato salad, jalapeño poppers, peach cobbler, banana pudding, and soft drinks. I had to find catering in a hurry, and it was extremely easy to work out a plan with Jonathan. One of his practices is to get the caterers to the venue WELL in advance (2 hours), and this was confirmed to be a good idea because somehow the catering team was given the wrong address and had to scurry to get to us and set up in time. The serving team was great, though, and everything turned out OK. These things happen, in my view. The only criticism I have is that the food was served in small pasteboard baskets rather than on plates. This had the unfortunate effect of making it look as though we were trying to keep the guests from eating much, and it seemed better suited to more casual outdoor events, perhaps ones where people are standing and milling. If offered a choice in advance, I would definitely have picked plates. One more thing to consider: we had a ton of leftovers and no easy way to take them home (except a few bits in those baskets). I hated to waste the food but just couldn't manage a plan at the last minute. Not the caterers' responsibility, of course, but you will want the leftovers!
