This place is a hidden gem of a restaurant! Aside from being known for their cider, I was surprised to find such an extensive menu of delicious Dominican food. I've walked by a number of times while in Deep Ellum, but it wasn't until friends visiting from out of town came looking specifically for carribbean food did I discover their amazing menu. Between the four of us, we sampled a number of their offerings. I particularly liked the Maduros - delicious fried sweet plantains. The Tostones are also amazing if you prefer your plantains a bit more savory. The highlight were the Pastelitos (empanadas). We had to get a second order because they were that good. The cider was delicious, too. So many options from sweet and fruity (loved the mango-spiced cider) to the classics. Service is casual, counter style. read more

Came here with a friend to try out the ciders - got the cider flight which allowed me to pick and choose versus having a preset flight - which I appreciated. A few of the ciders were not available and a there were ciders available that weren't on the menu. Thankful to the bartender who made some suggestions. We also got 2 sake bombs to round out the drinks. Just to mention - you have to go up to the bar to order - everything from drinks to food. I say this as when I walked in I stood there for a moment and then I finally asked, can I sit anywhere to which I was told yes, but i waited thinking someone would come to the table until I saw other people forming a line to order. I also ordered some fries and asked if I could get them crispy, to which I was told no problem. While I waited I found myself having to talk louder than usual as the music was loud. I barely heard the guy say mg name when my fries were ready. I asked for ketchup and was handed 3 packs. Sadly the fries tasted gummy versus crispy. I personally didn't like the dipping sauce that came with the fries but didn't bother asking for more ketchup as the fries just weren't cooked to my liking. For the cider - the butter beer was my favorite - and the pours are heafy to which 6 drinks and two sake bombs could have been shared between me and my friend. Not a big fan of the deep ellum vibe- mostly i feel like im not cool enough or young enough but trinity cider feels low key enough that anyone and everyone fits in. Love their ciders and its definitely worth getting a flight to try different offerings. We stumbled up on Trinity Cider and we're glad we found this place. While not the largest venue, they had great service, a fun vibe, and outdoor seating with shade available. We tried several of their ciders during this visit and found it hard to pick a favorite. My husband started with the Cideboob and the watermelon flavor wasn't too overwhelming. I started with the cherry. It had a nice flavor to it without it being too sweet or tart. Then I had the Feelin' Thorny which again had a great flavor profile which wasn't too sweet or tart with the blackberry. My husband then went for the Mangonada and this ended up being our favorite. Such fun and unique flavors of cider! We tried the flight of 6 for $15, which honestly is such a great deal and way to try their flavors. Which is why everyone in my orbit was shocked to see me show up to 4th of July with a case of Cideboob from Trinity Cider telling anyone who would listen how much I love it. It is so crisp. So clean. So refreshingly delicious. it pairs so good with BBQ or Tacos or Hot Dogs. Best of all it is extremely low in sugar. Came here yesterday after having brunch and enjoyed my short stay. I loved the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Trinity Cider has an open outdoor space with tons of seating and an indoor space that holds their cider. The cider tanks are right behind the bar and their delicious cider gets made and poured right from there. Ariel was my bartender and she was so sweet. She took the time to let me try each cider. My favorites were the apple cider, apricot, watermelon, and deep ellum dry. I love that they had a nice mix of dry and semi-sweet ciders. Unfortunately they do not have cans available to take home yet, so there are only the growlers available. They were out of the smaller growlers, so Ariel had to go to the back get me one--which she did not mind doing at all, which was so sweet! I ended up taking home a mix of the Deep Ellum Dry and their apple cider, which I plan to warm up and sip on during these cold nights! The growler was only $16 and will cost just $10 to refill! I definitely plan to come back soon and try out more of their ciders and relax in their space!! read more

Today we tried the Cideboob, Clausmopolitan (more on the sour side which I loved) , Apple cider, and the hot cider. All were delicious, but stands outs were the cideboob (tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher!) and the hot cider which was perfect for the rainy day we came on. I'm shocked to realize I haven't formally reviewed Trinity yet considering we come by here 3 out of every 4 weekends or so! Absolutely love this spot -it's always a lively atmosphere or you can hop on the covered patio for a quieter vibe and deep ellum people watching. The ciders are delicious and the rotating flavors are always creative. I didn't think I liked cider until trying Trinity. The owners are fun, welcoming and passionate about their craft. Best of all they are dog friendly and the covered patio means you can get out and enjoy the day regardless of weather. Previously I tried the Cucumber Habanero which was refreshing with a nice kick.
