I haven't found many standout places. Until today! I'm visiting Lafayette and after a quick search, found Reve. I ordered a medium caramel and vanilla iced latte and added cold foam. I don't know any details of how anything was made, but it was so perfect. I'm a chronic never finisher of coffee, but I had to slow myself down to keep from finishing it within a couple minutes. The cold foam wasn't sweetened, which worried me, but after swirling it all together, it was just the perfect latte. The syrups didn't have any of the ickyness you sometimes find (maybe they're house made? I didn't ask) and the cold foam made for the most perfect consistency. I'm no coffee purist, but if you like a yummy drink that I don't think was over the top sweet, this was an amazing order! We tried the cookies and cream cookie, it was moist in the center but dry and crunchy on the outer edges. The chocolate was a rich flavor and the icing was cream cheese. We also tried the blue monster cookie. It was like a chocolate chip cookie except it didn't have much flavor. The icing was just a normal powdered sugar I'm frosting and it was the only flavor the cookie had.

Adopted Dog is dog focused and makes solid beer with good food. If you don't like beer, you can still eat good food in a good atmosphere. If you don't like beer and don't like dogs, you may be out of luck. The beer. I have only been here a couple of times so I have not ventured too far into their beer offerings. I have had three different styles and all ranged from good to very good. The food. Cheese curds - get the sampler platter. Three different types of cheese curds that are lightly fried and totally good. Who knew fried cheese curds could be delicious? I guess the Wisconsin people and Canadians but now you know too. Brussel sprouts - Just get them. Crispy and tasty is all you need to know. Smash burger - If you like smash burgers, you will like this one. I don't (i prefer a thick patty), so it was fine, but again, not my preference. The outside area is very cool. While there are long tables, games, and TVs, there are also Adirondack chairs. Sitting in those, drinking a beer, and feeling the breeze transports you elsewhere. It is the spot to be. Check out Adopted Dog. You will bee glad you did.

When we visited for dinner we got the Crispy Shrimp, Chicken Nuggets, Nashville Hot Shrimp Burger and Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese. Crispy Shrimp - 9.0 Very good, would definitely suggest trying an order. Has to be their top or one of their top seller. Chicken Nuggets - 8.7 I do not currently see them listed on their Dinner or Friday Lunch menu. They were definitely worth ordering. It was fun having a homemade chicken nugget at a nice restaurant. Hot Shrimp Burger - 9.2 Very, very good. The aioli and pickles are so good with the shrimp and spice. Would definitely get again however, I plan on trying a new dish next time. Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese - 9.1 This is what my Wife ordered and she said it was very yummy. Which, I tried some and she was right! If we went back it would be hard for her to stray away from ordering this. For our brunch visit we had Cheddar Biscuits, Crispy Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Whipped Ricotta Toast. Cheddar Biscuits - 8.2 During our visit the biscuits taste good however, were a little dense and lacked cheddar. Crispy Shrimp - See Above Chicken & Waffles - 8.5 They were good, the chicken was juicy and had good flavor. Don't know if we would order again. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - 9.1 Aside from the shrimp, it was the best thing we ordered. The pancakes were fluffy and all of the flavors of the contributing aspects of the dish were delicious.
