The worst cheeseburger I have ever had at a Five Guys. The burger was swimming in ketchup. It was all over the bun when I unwrapped it and literally dripping with every bite. Never saw or tasted any mustard, but it may just have been overwhelmed by the ketchup. Food was starting to become cold when it arrived and cold after a couple bites. Regular fries barely filled the cup, which is unusual for a Five Guys. This location is the only Five Guys that I have ever had a bad burger. read more

Being a local, I hit this joint at least once a month. The service is good, the food is fast and fresh, and I enjoy coming here using my Columbia Credit Union Cash back incentive for 10% off. The fries are amazing, and I love how the employees really understand service. My boyfriend spilled a glass of water across the table and onto my lap, and legit one of the cashiers came over to us and got on his knees to clean it properly. And then we wait...and wait...our burgers were done quick but then the lady on fries proceeds to take her sweet time. Another 20 minutes later after she made an unnecessary batch of fries before even filling all the waiting peoples orders(not to mention the fries she was giving out to walk ins who had waited a fraction of the time) we were finally on our way home. The kicker, we expected to have cold burgers and hot fries. But nope, lady managed to sneak an old cup of fries into our bag. Giant disappointment. Will never eat at this location again. Never again! I just spent the last few hours being sick!! I haven't had food poisoning in forever, but looks like Five Guys broke that streak... It was my first time visiting. Ordered and ate at about 6:30pm. A few hours later like clockwork I'm confined to the bathroom and can't empty the puke bucket quick enough. How do I know it was food poisoning? Well all I ate today other than a burger and fries from here is my regular bowl of Kashi cereal (same box as all week, didn't get sick), and an apple, and a granola bar. I don't get it........ We went along to Five Guys with rave reviews ringing in our ears.....and frankly...it kinda sucked. As far as burgers go....the patties were dry and relatively tasteless...the toppings (I chose grilled onions and mushrooms) were sparce. The counter help was indifferent (being an East Coast chain perhaps this is mandatory) and the bun was smashed down to the thickness of a credit card (with nothing in the bag on top of it to crush...it was WRAPPED like that). What a complete disappointment. Five Guys....your burgers aren't a patch on Red Robin's...and as far as local burger joints go....you aren't fit to carry Burgerville's jock. GO HOME!!!!!! read more

Looks like I'm breakin' in the newest location ... If the scale allowed, I'd give it 3.5 stars (like Star Search!) These are popping up everywhere and the latest is over in East 'Couv on 192nd. Highlights: Well, I love the focus. We do burgers, we're gonna swing for the fences and just do that. (Hhmm, if only the former Vancouver great Burgerville would do the same). I'd say it's a solid single. The sum seems to be less than the parts. The quality of the ingredients seems high, they just don't work together. I think that's the problem with so many options - they just stack on the toppings. Nothin' too sexy. The fries are where it really falls down. They have their fresh potatoes stacked everywhere (ala In-N-Out) but they don't taste great. Just greasy and over done. The place seems a bit sterile too. Just red and white everywhere. Nobody seems to be having any fun or personality (it's a fun burger joint - let it rip!). It gets to 3.5 stars though because I love the business model and focus. If you live and die by one thing, usually over time you'll get very good at it. Let's hope. I got the bacon burger - it was six bucks. Fries and soda pushed it to $9+ (don't forget good 'ol sales tax in the great State of Washington). Not cheap, but I didn't feel it was overpriced. I like burger and french fries. I eat alot of burgers and french fries. Five Guys make a very good burger. If you're a big fan of burgers you have to give Five Guys a try. If you order a double and fries, you're going to get a brown sack full of food... and it's going to cost you a decent amount. Fed a family of 4 for $25.00. Atmosphere was interesting, the cooks were all younger guys, who were very animated. Singing and "rocking out" to the music which was fairly loud. I'll go back when I'm in the area! read more

MEDIOCRE. There I said it. I don't see and most of all I couldn't taste what all the hype is about. At best FG is on par with Carl's Jr. The bun was smashed flat, the patty had a soggy quality to it; not juicy; soggy and the slice of american cheese was reminiscent of the government cheese indifferently slapped on that fillet-o-fish I had at school in the fourth grade. Some cheddar or swiss would've been a better alternative. I'll give FG one thing. Whether it's hamburgers, pizza or whatever, east coasters are good hyping their wares. read more

First time to this Vancouver store in 3 years or more.Gresham store a year ago was decent. Nice staff and good looking interiors. But this place is empty at 5 pm for a reason. Its good but not able to hold its own in todays gourmet burger market. Not nearly as good as killer burger down the street. Music too loud (and I like loud music ) ,fries have triple the amount of salt needed (and I like salt ), by contrast the salted caramel milkshake had no salt and barely a hint of caramel ,and the burger is good but not "super life changing make me crave it and need to come back the very next day " good.Maybe just create a signature secret sauce or a special sriracha ranch dip would be a start.Tables were a little peanut dirty upon arrival and there were a few other minor shortcomings.nothing really critical but not the attention to detail I expect when I buy my family a meal and have to leave a tip for no service. Just my opinion of course .If Five Guys dont take a second look at the way they operate, I doubt they will still be here for xmas 2018. Love the free peanuts you get when you are waiting for your order. Seriously, there are huge sacks of peanuts in the restaurant. Somehow, this makes me happy....especially if it is on a busy day when there are so many other customers that it takes a while to get your order. Also, I love the fries! read more

Let's be honest, Five Guys burger is not the best you can get. It's basically a healthier version of fast food burger, right? I mean you can get a "big boy" burger or what I call a "grown up burger" just about any where that taste like it came out of your backyard grill That said, Five Guys is consistent no matter where you go. I've eaten at them in DC, VA, Texas, TN, Seattle and here traveling now in Portland area. They are always the same. The staff is by and large sharp and nice and on top of things. With the app it's so easy to order exactly what you want, pay and walk in and grab it and go. I LOVE that and am confused why more places aren't doing this. The burgers are good and let's just say Amen to the fries. Some of the best you'll have. AND they give you PLENTY of them haha. More than you need really :) I'm a fan and eat at Five Guys more than I should lol For this specific location, was just awesome. It was late and I was tired from traveling. I am a truck driver. Just dropped off a load at the Walmart across the street. Walked over to five guys. It was 10:45 pm. It says they are open to 11 pm. I walked in and was told to leave. They shut the grill down at 10:30. Very rude staff. And they need to change the hours and turn off the open sign at 10:30 pm if that's when they shut down. I plan on trying to get a hold of management. And ask them about the way they run the place. Will follow up this review at a later time. I have waited for the last couple of weeks for a call. Management still has not contacted me. I take this as they don't care about taking customers. read more

Sara the manager made my husband take apart his burger and throw the extra patty they forgot in the burger. Usually I would give this 10 stars if possible but tonight My husband and I had the worst experience due to the manager that goes by the name of Sara.. my husband and i ordered online for the first time and he decided on three patty's when he opened it we noticed it was smaller than usual and figured it had only two patty's.. usually it's not a big deal but it was our first meal of the day and we have other places to be.. this has happened one other time before and he was given a new burger... great customer service that time.. mind you we come here on a regular. Regardless, he went back to get a burger with three patty's and handed the receipt and one kind gentlemen wanted to to make him another burger and keep the old one, he mentioned it was a policy, anyways, Sara yelled at the kind gentlemen who was showing great customer service to say that my husband doesn't get a new burger, to hand him a patty so that my husband can take apart his own burger and fix their mistake.. we didn't come there to make burgers or do their job.. very unprofessional and disrespectful. This was our first time trying out Five Guys. We had heard a lot about how good they are so decided to have lunch there. Their burgers are fantastic! Thick, juicy, cooked just right. Tons of awesome toppings you can add on. Took a while to get our order but we knew they were making it fresh. So drippy and messy though you wouldn't want to eat it in the car! We had the Cajun style fries and they are good too; a bit on the spendy side but you get a LOT; we split a small order and it was still more than we could finish. What some might consider a negative, actually works for these guys. Their menu is SMALL, very simple, no frills, no gimmicks. What they do is make burgers and fries, and that is it. But what I have found is that when you make something, and limit yourself, you either make it really well, or you fail. These burgers are basic, but delicious. Fresh food, made to order and yummy! Our whole family (of 5) shares one large fries (Cajun style is best) and then we get 3 menu items between the 5 of us and we leave stuffed! I enjoy the little cheese burger, with lettuce, tomato, pickles, a little mayo and some jalapenos! Our youngest two usually split a grilled cheese or a plain dry little cheese burger. And of course all the kids get a kick out of getting a little tray of peanuts to munch on while we wait for our order. It's a fun atmosphere. Sometimes the music is a little bit loud for my taste, but no big deal, we sit outside (when it's sunny) and that is just perfect. read more

I don't usually experiment with different food locations but this place was shown to me by my dad and I gotta say these burgers are amazing compared to most, I love eating here. You get to choose what you want on the burger and I love that. The customer service behind the register is pretty great too. The only complaint I can give is the fact that the interior would love a cleaning, I find peanut crumbs all around the floor and some of the tables have leftovers on them. Horrible experience. First of all it was the coldest feeling when we walked in, everyone was staring no one said hello. The most pleasant person was the one at the register. Second we came in with our service dog. Then was asked if he was a service dog and what was his service.(not allowed to ask that) then he told us we all had to leave and as he's walking out with his back to us he says we can call the number on the dog if we have a problem. The problem is we gave them money to be treated we shitty. Plus the food was very cold much like the service. Won't be returning. read more

Just meh... The employees are friendly and the food is good however this location in particular doesn't fill the fries up all the way. Normally if you go to other locations they give you an extra scoop - not this location. They charge $1 more than portland and charge taxes for not as much food as you get at other locations. read more

As far as burgers places go they are great. The burgers are made to order and delicious every time. The fries are also great, I order mine with seasoning on them. THE ORDERING PROCESS Is easy and accommodating, the staff is inviting and patient. THE FOOD TASTE Is great, the burgers and fries are greasy but greasy in a good way. My family loves it. THE FOOD PORTIONS Are good, they are very generous with the fries and any toppings you need. PRICE The price is reasonable, I can feed my family for $25 OTHER My only issue is more personal, the peanuts everywhere make it so I can only go without my youngest (2yo) who is allergic to peanuts, and I'm not getting a sitter just to get some burgers, in order to eat there any of us who go have to go through a long decontamination process, just to make sure we aren't still covered in peanut dust. So if your not allergic to peanuts and don't have to be around someone who is allergic to peanuts, then this is the best burger place to go. read more

First time there & loved it. Happy people! Had Grilled Cheese-really good! They offer about 20 items you can put on burgers & grilled cheese. Who else offers that? WOW! Fries are like no other. They get potatoes from Idaho (what could be better than Idaho) & they list the town they came from on the board. We got a small order with Cajun seasoning. Delicious! What they call small is huge & cooked fresh. The sandwitches are aluminium wrapped & fries are tossed in on top. Because they ate freshly cooked there will be a little grease (very little) which is absorbed by bag. We will definitely be back soon! read more
