This is the worst 5 guys! I've been here two times. Both times I received old, cold, hard fries. Last night they didn't put bbq sauce on one burger and gave us stale old fries. I paid $70.00 and the food went in the trash. One burger was supposed to be lettuce wrapped. They didn't wrap it. This place is the worst five Guys there is. They are very slow as well. Both times I Waited 30 minutes or more. Never going back! Next time my friend wants five guys we will go to in n out. It's cheaper and usually you get food fresh. read more

Very expensive soggy burger. Fries were also way over-salted and only edible with large amounts of water (free). The peanuts (also free) were the 2nd best thing after the water even though they were a bit stale. I don't know why I paid any money as I only enjoyed the free items. Oh Five Guys, why must you be so overpriced??? Quality of food is good here, the only big minus point is the prices. I would come here more often if a small cheeseburger and small fries didn't set me back over $10. Yes, over $10 for one person, without even ordering a drink. I always order a little cheeseburger (regular size is 2 patties FYI) with everything - comes with grilled mushrooms and onions, tomato, mayo, ketchup, etc etc which is definitely a deluxe version compared to a basic cheeseburger. Torrance Food Crawl #11 The burgers from Five Guys are more of a mess than most others, but messy in a nice way with over a dozen different toppings that can be added. I've had Five Guys on the east coast and they've copied the formula verbatim here to the west coast. The hamburger patty is well cooked and doesn't taste like some generic McD's flat piece of meat. It's easy to go overboard selecting multiple toppings but I generally like to keep it simple, adding just 4-5 items. The fries are a little bit on the greasy side, but not excessively so. The Cajun fries come out a little spicier, in a good way, than the regular fries. The first time you visit don't automatically order the large size unless you really want a lot of fries, just order the smaller size and you should be OK. In the past I've tried their hot dogs and they're good but seem a little average, that is, Five Guys didn't become famous because of their dogs. The 1% of people with a peanut allergy should avoid Five Guys, but the other 99% are welcome to enjoy the free peanuts if they want. read more

I love coming to Five guys on my lunch break. The burgers are always fresh, the fries are always hot and the staff is always friendly. The last time I went in though, there was a lady in a black shirt with glasses who I would assume is the manager. She took my order and she was so rude, I wanted to ask for someone else to help me. While I was waiting for my food, she went into the back with a lady that looks like she has a mustache and neither of them came out of the back for the rest of the time I was there which was about 30 minutes. There were only 2 people left to take orders and prepare food making customers wait longer than usual. I give Five Guys 3 stars, it's good but not OMG outstanding. To be honest, I've had better burgers before. I come here often with my Mother before heading to the Doctor. We usually go with the little bacon cheese burger because even that one is pretty big. You can choose your toppings and there are many, so that is pretty nice. The fries hands down are the best thing here, they are just so yummy. The shakes are good as well. Service is good, I've always been greeted by a friendly employee and the food tends to come out pretty quickly. Parking is a bit tricky sometimes, especially during peak times like lunch or dinner. My grandmother and I came in today for lunch and received burnt fries. We took them back up to the front and they stated they would make us new batch to go with our burgers. We've waited over 20 minutes for the new batch of fries and people walking in we're receiving their orders. Went back up to them asking how much longer for our new batch of fries, practically the staff ignored us or someone said they would be right out. No one seemed to care. I've been here about seven times over a year. I do like greasy and oily food (calamari, katsu, ramen, fried chicken, etc.), but it's a bit too much grease here. I'm not saying that it's all bad-- the fries are chunky and fresh, while other fast food joints only serve flimsy thin fries. However, the portions of the fries are meager for the price. They used to give a lot more fries. The patty is tasty and meaty. It doesn't feel like they're trying to skimp out on anything at all. I recommend not getting take out, or else your burger will become extremely soggy. I'd say try it once for a change, but don't have too much faith. read more

1st time here. Really great selection. I enjoy fries with no seasoning and being that their fries are delivered from all over the states, I get to enjoy all natural potato flavors. The fact that I'm able to customized my burger is a plus. Oh and let's not forget the milkshake !!! They are DELICIOUS nothing more to say in that !! Their cheeseburger is basically a 10 dollar Double Double from In-n-Out, but waterlogged and delivered in record slow time. I had mine with cheese, mayo, grilled onions and lettuce. The burger fell apart after one bite because it was waterlogged with wet lettuce and onions that were sauteed until just translucent. They were not browned or what you would call grilled. There was so much water from the wet lettuce and onions that the burger was like soup. I saw a few articles and since Five Guys surpassed In-And-Out we had to try it. It was two of us and we shared a regular burger and regular fries w/ cajun seasoning. I thought they were supposed to make the fries when you ordered it but I noticed they had a huge batch waiting. We went on a Saturday at noon. It was half full. The staff were courteous. By the time we got our food the place was full inside. We got lettuce, tomato, bbq sauce, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms on our regular burger and it was good. The meat was the real star as it was moist and juicy without being very fatty. The regular order was enough for us it share. The fries are another story. They looked like they would be crispy but it was kind of soggy. They were left out too long. The cajun seasoning was overly salty. It was spicier than we'd like but nothing a dip in ketchup can't solve. The fries were the really disappointing part of our experience. The regular order was enough for us it share. One of my favorite burgers in Southern California. Simple but with everything a good burger has to have. The cheese burger with bacon brings two patys of meat, bacon and cheddar cheese. You can add more toping to make it your own but it has plenty of flavor. The price is a little high because with $ 9.99, in another place you can buy a combo but it is worth the extra dollars it costs. Had the absolute worse experience at Five Guys tonight. Ordered online for curbside pickup by 5:30pm. Husband went to pick it up. Pulled in a spot, and called the number for curbside. Minutes passed and no one came to bring the food out. Something didn't seem right. Decided to go inside to check on the order. Chaos and lack of management was apparent. Order was finally abruptly shoved to my husband (he had to wait for the fries to finish frying). He waited for our milkshakes and the order was wrong. He tried to explain that there's a mistake and was rudely accused by the manager for trying to get a free milkshake. The manager then walked away from my husband and complained to his staff about my husband. "He's just trying to get a free milkshake." When I heard about this, I was, and still am, furious, that someone would accuse my family of this. How dare he. If the order is wrong, fix it. As a manager, in customer service mind you, wear your big boy pants and listen to your customer when we tell you something's wrong with the order. I hope the manager gets fired for his lack of care, professionalism, and general human decency. By the time my husband walked out of the joint it was 6:15pm. Almost an hour from the time our order was to be ready. Ate our burgers at home and the buns were soggy. A pure mess. read more

As for the fries....wow I recommend that if you and someone has lunch together, I recommend that you just get 1 order of fries, they are not cheap when you ask for fries they give you a lot for your money. The staff here what can I say...very nice very nice, and with smiles on there faces and make you feel like a million dollars. The jr is actually pretty big! The big burger is two parties and a jr is a single patty but u can pile on a lot of free toppings for free and u get a pretty hefty jr burger! SFW if these burgers are overhyped. I try not to let "hype" make me expect too much and make my decision on my own please! the four very negative reviews (and only reviews) posted, actually saved me and gave me a tip to double check my Togo order. Good thing I did cuz they forgot my bacon! But I'm not gonna give them one star just for that. Everyone here was super nice, I like customizing my burger toppings, yay free peanuts! The burger yes is not anything amazing, but it was solid for fast food. I didn't think my patty was overdone. First of all, the Cash Only signs on the doors immediately almost turned me away. If your business can't process debit and credit cards in 2023, something is wrong with your business. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink. It costed me $23 roughly. That way too much for what is essentially a combo deal at other burger joints. The burger was super greasy. Some people may like that, but it made me sick. Also, the burger needed to be seasoned more. Just a little salt might have improved it. But as I said, the grease was disgusting. The fries were good. My mom said she wanted to go right when they open at 11 AM. We get there and we're the third person in line! We ordered three burgers, one hot dog, and one large order of Cajun fries for about $40. I've been to this location twice and the hype is...just that, for me. Sure they load you up with fries and the burgers are tasty, but they are expensive. Both times I've gotten the little cheeseburger. One time with nothing special on it, a drink and fries. My order was about $10. Second time I got the little cheeseburger with just bacon. I can't understand the negatives.. Another yelper said it.. if you don't like greasy burgers and fries don't come here. Its not a salad bar. Another yelper gave them 1 star and started their review "I am not a fan of this type of food" Why did you bother to go other than to whine & complain? If its about too much grease have them double bag your order that way the bags soak up the excess from the fries and I also add napkins to the top of my bag and that also helps. I think the burgers are tastier than In and out and they are twice as thick even on the small burger. I love the fries. This is how they do fries in Chicago and the bag system too, only your order is written on the bag. I don't know if its the type of potato, or the way its fried but these fresh cut are THE BEST IMHO. I always order a small, and they give you like 3x the amount so don't bother to get a large unless there are three people sharing it. I agree the fries aren't so good when they are cold, but what fries are? I love that you can ask for extra mushrooms and not get charged extra for every condiment. I only wish they had better quality of cheese. If you want great hang over food, comfort food or just use 5 Guys to splurge once a week off your diet, give them a try. Tasty little burger joint ! How can you compare Five Guys to the competitors: In & Out, The Habit, Fatburger, and the burgers on TGIF's lunch menu? Landslide victory to the competitors. The worst part is the cost. It's so expensive, I bought a cheeseburger, fries, and drink and it cost a little less than $14. The burger is an average size burger, but as others have said, the meat is juicy but lacking flavor, if you ever watch those cooking shows you know how important seasoning is. The buns get very soggy and aren't grilled or anything, just plain sesame seed buns. The fries are good. They give out free peanuts which I think is the weirdest thing, and by looking inside, it makes a mess, especially with children, obviously the guy who thought of this brilliant idea never waited tables and had to clean up after a family dined. It's strangely pretty loud in there, and I'm guessing this is because they're shifting out the bad seeds, but there's a LOT of people working there, seems inefficient if you think about the cost. I gave it two stars because of its wide array of toppings that come at no extra charge. Also the orders come out real fast, plus side of a surplus of workers. I ate here 3 times and all 3 times were two thumbs down. I don't know, call me crazy but I think there would be more return customers if it was cheaper and those who want extra toppings can add them for a price. If you have to eat here, don't take it to go. Oh BTW, if you're allergic to peanuts, everything here is fried in peanut oil, how the heck does this place have so many locations?! read more

What a disappointment. I know the place has a great reputation, yet all I can share is my experience. I placed a very simple order. A "Little Cheeseburger" ($5.99) with grilled onions and ketchup. That's it. The food took a long time to be prepared which I thought was odd given the place was empty at 3:00pm on a weekday. I then thought maybe the grilling of the onions takes time. Well, I finally get my order and the onions weren't grilled. They were white chopped onions. The burger was DOUSED in ketchup. Messy. And although I love ketchup, this was way too much. The bun could have been fresher, and the taste of the meat was not unlike that of an ordinary backyard barbecue. And oh yeah, the cheese wasn't melted. I suppose the cheese wasn't melted since the burger wasn't hot (how that's possible directly off the grill I don't know). Several tables and portions of the floor were in need of some cleaning up.
