So the first time I tried Five Guys, I didn't like it. Couldn't understand what the hype was. Maybe I got the wrong type of burger, I got a standard one with mushrooms. The shrooms seemed canned and generally speaking I just didn't like it. My mom constantly raves about how Five Guys is her fave. Maybe it's better in Cali where she is from, who knows. So after a few years, and her prompting I tried it again. This time we got the double bacon burger and yup! Love it!! Wish there was one closer to me on the Hill but apparently, there was one and they closed :( so whenever we are in the area of one we must have! The burger patties get such a nice almost crusty sear (Maillard reaction), but still so juicy. The bacon is nice and crisp not soggy. If you've tried this place in the past like me and maybe chose the wrong thing, try it again! It is a little pricy for a burger, but ugh so good! The fries are the best! Homemade cut fries and they give you plenty! I also love that they give peanuts, we always take a bunch a home. Well writing this review just makes me want one! See ya! read more

Had to wait in line forever. Expensive. Tables jammed together-very uncomfortable. Ordered burger with everything but ketchup-I hate ketchup. 20 min wait. Got burger with ketchup. Wait in line 7-8 min to exchange for new burger without ketchup. New burger 10 min later-buns not toasted, which is what made it special and extra good. Not doing it again. Good burger, but just not worth the hassle and cost and claustrophobia. Lots of other places have good burgers, too. read more

Ive always been a fan of Five Guys! I absolutely love they're burgers but the last few times have been horrible. They made my burger wrong so they politely remade it for me, but it was wrong again the second time. I had already been here for 30 minutes so I was a grumpy like anyone would be and when I brought it back up the lady offered a side of my ingredients. No refund, no like apology. Great food, a little high on price. They will say it's the quality ingredients, I say just making sure there profit. They have a good product that's not recreated elsewhere in spokane. Only suggestion is that they make sure during rush hour and always to clean the tables.. read more

Haven't been in quite a while and was a bit surprised. Usually bring a large family but visited tonight with just the wife. Food and service was good but the portions wEre very disappointing. the fat belly I walked outta there with was worth it. the burgers are WAAAY better than zips, and the fries are like Dicks downtown, only larger and thicker cut. THE JALAPENO'S ARE FRESH, NOT PICKLED (made a hellova difference... in a good way). SAME WITH THE MUSHROOMS. If I had to catagorize this place - it's a cross between Dick's downtown spokane and hmmmm.... a Red Robin burger? Wasn't my cup of tea.... the yelling and loudness isn't my thing. To some this is fun but it's most certainly not business friendly.

I was a little scared after reading the reviews, but thought I would give it a try anyway. LOVED it! The cheeseburger was very cheesy and cooked perfectly. They had lots of good topping choices. I got mayo and jalapenos. The jalapenos were so hot I had to pick them off halfway through. The fries were nice and crunchy, and they had malt vinegar for dipping. The regular size fries ended up being about three cups full. Shared by two people we barely even made a dent in them. The only thing I didn't like was the two hamburger patties. I was so full I couldn't eat the last three or four bites. My only complaint is the terrible music! I'll definitely go back. You can't go wrong at a place with free peanuts by the door :) read more

I'm right in the middle of my love for these guys. A regular is a double, a small is a single burger. Cheese and Bacon are extra. I like the smashed patty on the grill greasiness when I'm in the mood for grease, but they ARE pretty greasy for everyday dining. Even the small is pretty substantial. the fries are fresh cut, lots of potato flavor, order them lightly as the usually top off your bag. I recommend the cajin spice on the fries. You can get a decent value if you order the small burger, and small fries. Drink water, its better for you anyway! read more

I am very very disappointed with my visit. Took my order back to ear at work and they forgot the cheese. Not a really big deal but when I called to let them know..they did not even care. Overall I'd go back again. But I've never been a fan of the type of fries they make. I give the burger 4 stars and the fries 2. I would much rather come here than to any fast food joint. Fresh patties and toppings make all the difference, and its obvious its real beef. I do not believe its better than Red Robin, but thats like comparing apples to oranges. I believe the price is very fair for what you get. Wendys burger combos are $8 now and not better than this. First less than good experience we've had at this location. Prime example of millennial work ethic on display. Bacon on my wife's BLT was burnt and crumbled. They forgot the cheese she had asked to be melted. When we went back up to the counter they refused to fix a new, edible sandwich and handed her a cold slice of cheese. By far the tastiest fast food burger around. I like the little bacon cheese burger, yummm! I love the home cut fries that are a HUGE portion. When they get busy you can hang out and eat as much peanuts as you want :) The major drawback is the calories, take it easy, don't eat here everyday and make it an occasional treat. read more

Awful service. The lobby was empty and three girls just standing around not even behind the counter. I knew exactly what I wanted, because I've been to a Five Guys before. I walked up to the cash register looking at the menu, and the lady just stared at me. I was expecting a "welcome to five guys," or a "let me know if you have an questions"... a simple greeting, ya know? Nothing. Well I ordered my strawberry shake and she said the price, asked if I wanted whip cream and I said no thanks. I handed her my bill and she gave me my change, not telling me how much change I was getting back or even my order number... much less a smile. Few minutes pass and they call a number, I assumed it was mine since there was a shake on the counter. No straw. Completely bad service, no wonder there was no one there. Finally tried out Five Guys after hearing its praises sung by many friends. Delicious! The cheeseburger that I got was huge, despite me ordering the smaller size (which has only one patty instead of the usual two). I asked for everything on it, and I got it, from sauteed mushrooms to zesty pickle slices. Messy and marvelous, just like I like it! The fries were also delicious--hot and soft rather than crispy. My husband and I shared a regular size fries and we still didn't finish them! I love a good burger place, and this one goes pretty high on the list! read more

Always a great burger! The meat is fresh and doesn't hit the grill until you order. There is a large list of topping. The fries are fresh cut but sometimes I think they are too greasy. My largest complaint is the restaurant AC is always turned up too high. Regardless of the season the restaurant is freezing. read more

Of the 3 5GBF (5Guys Burgers and Fries) in Spokane, I think I found my favorite one. With this being a franchise, you would think that where ever you go in the city, it should be consistatn at all locations. Not with this on in the Spokane Valley. I'm always looking for a good burger. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and I had a little burger with pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, and the usual condiments (I really dont believe in "loading" you burger with all that filler stuff) The flavor of the all beef patty was pretty good. I dont know what they do different at this location from the others, but this one was flavorful. It was juicy, with a hint of salt, that actually taste like beef. The bread was just right. But I've had hamburgers from the other 5GBF and sorry to say, its just "meh"... If I'm ever in the Valley again and needing my burger fix, my car is auto programmed to take me here. read more
