My company ordered a $160 order, they messed it up, forgot a sandwich, had to substitute something for another and didn't let us know. When called the manager said they could only remake it and we could pick it up or "put it on their board". Our company is having a staff training day, so going to pick it up is a huge inconvenience. When I told this to the manager he proceeded to tell me how they just received many large orders and continued to make excuses. Being in the customer service field I understand but in my experience you attempt to fix it not make excuses. It's a great convenient place to get a sandwich, but the problem is the dragging of feet with online ordering. It's been the past three times where I've ordered ahead of time on the app, I get a 15 minute window to having it ready, get there after the 15 minute window, and they haven't even started the order. First.... lemme say ive been to this location atleast dozen and a half times. the location is always clean, and the staff is super friendly. But this time I called in looking for a mythical "sub in a tub". Claudia answered the phone and said it did in fact exist. So when I mentioned a number 13 as a salad.... and she confirmed it could be done. I squeeled with glee and said I'd be right in. I need a cane to walk and getting in and out of my truck, so I order from Jersey Mike's because they have curbside pick up. I pulled up and checked in on the app and watched as two employees just low key hung out in an empty store. After ten minutes, I got out and walked in and one of them said, "Oh you are here for curbside. We were supposed to bring it out." More just telling me what I know then apology. I don't want to have to use curbside. I also don't want to post Yelp reviews like a Karen but I really don't need disrespect and lack of compassion from teenagers. I just came out of Jersey Mike's on Regal. I have to say I have never seen the number of orders they had and were working on from customers using the app The back counter was completely covered with tickets. Take out bags were being lined up as the crew knocked them out. It was insane. But ... what was truly amazing was how calm, cool and quickly all of their staff was working. No gripes, no short tempers, no attitude. They were just working as fast as they could. It was truly impressive. Under the current conditions, it would give any of us pause to think about going to work right now in such a public facing job. But to also have the workload be at an absolute peak ... The sandwiches were good but the service was absolutely awful. The gal behind the register was very rude as was the gal making the sandwiches. Went in person to order a couple of subs. Was told by a team member that I would be helped in a minute. I understand that they had lots of order tickets coming in. I waited for 4 minutes in front of the order here sign, and no help was given. One more team member walked out, expecting to be helped, she went straight to the grill, and the first guy walked over to situate the orders. Still not being helped, a manager walks out. No one has even said Hello or Hi to us at this point. Then an interview comes in and the manager focuses all her attention to him. I was absolutely baffled. I will never come back to this location. Please improve your customer service tenfold. Jersey Mikes makes a pretty darn good sandwich. I usually go for a cheese steak style and they have been great. The beef has nice flavor, the bread is fresh, and service has always been friendly. If you are planning on feeding a crowd buy the giant. They are huge, could easily feed 4. They also have two special hams, one with black pepper, the other with red pepper. "Giant" subs are probably too much food for a single person but I ate one anyway. Classic Italian was fantastic as was the Pastrami Rueben. I must say though, the person who took my order/cashed me out/ and made my sandwich was quite attentive and very nice. He advised me of my available points to redeem for a sandwich and offered to bag my sandwich. I must say though, having ordered the portabello mushroom sandwich, part of my bread was so soggy I could not eat portions of the bread as it was saturated with wetness. They slice the meat and cheese for your sandwich when you order it. The bread is good but my favorite condiment they offer is the cherry pepper relish!
