Having early dinner here on a Saturday. The place is packed. I ordered bacon burger all the way. The beef patties were freshly cooked, NOT frozen, juicy and medium well. The veggies blended well with sliced bacon and melted cheese. It's delicious! My only concern is their fries. It's saggy and bland. The best potato fries I've ever tasted is the fries being made by In and Out burger in the Midwest and the West Coast. Their famous roasted peanuts are the best! Serving staff are kind and courteous. The restaurant seems clean and the staff seems knowledgeable of their products. The staff seemed friendly and greeted me properly. The only thing is the restaurant does take some time to cook the french fries and hot dog because they actually cook it on the grill. French fries: Has a lot of flavor to it but it is really greasy. Especially when they put it in the brown paper bag, you can see all the grease on the outside of the bag. Hot dog: It tastes good but it is also very greasy that makes me not want to eat any more of it. Overall: This restaurant is OK and the only downfall is that the food is super greasy at times. I totally forgot how good Five Guys is. Went today for the first time in years and really enjoyed my food. I ordered the mini burger (all the way is with all the toppings) which by the way is still really freaking huge and apparently the regular comes with two patties, wow. Small fries was plenty for me and I could not finish because they also give you bag fries on top. Only criticism is that the orders took way long (at least 15 minutes or more) to come out because they seem to prioritize online food delivery orders first which was really annoying. But it wasn't the end of the world but if I were in a hurry to take it to go... Maybe. With my burger, fries and drink my meal was $13 and change. Not too bad but more than I expected. Next time I might split a shake with my hubby. Haven't had one from Five Guys in a long time. read more

(Insert Homer drooling over donuts soundtrack) Fries are great! They are cut in house, and fried in peanut oil. (Heads up for those who suffer from peanut allergies) They give you a lot!! Oh' and if you're eating at one of their fine establishments, grab those peanuts in the shell. Eat 'em while your burger order is being prepared. Just don't throw the shells on the floor. I like this location of 5 Guys, but I wish they had the Coke Remix machine to make your own flavors. The quality is always good although I feel like it's a little pricey considering it's just burgers and fries. Still, I'd much rather come here then most other burger places in the area. For starters, it meat tastes different in a bad way, and secondly the burger itself has definitely gotten smaller. Still tastes better than most chain food restaurants, but something has definitely changed The fries are still god sent. I always go for the Cajun fries. Honestly, I have just gotten the fries here. You get complimentary peanuts as you wait for your food (not too long unless you come during lunch hour. Then, its about a ten minute wait). Let me start by saying I'm a huge five guys fan, and this is my closest one to my apartment. It is also the worst five guys I have ever been too. It's incredibly slow, disorganized, and dysfunctional where as every five guys I ever went too is the exact opposite. I've been to this location multiple times and it's always slow and disorganized, but whatever... the last time I went they gave me soggy cold fries and no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger, after waiting about 30 minutes in the restaurant after ordering. I haven't been since, and yet again I decided to go back even though I was annoyed about all the other times. Again, no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger, a simple $2 addition, but nope. This has never happened to me at any other five guys locations. It's a minor inconvenience and now I'm out $4, I get it, but compared to other five guys locations this one needs to be managed better, staff needs to be trained better, and just please give your customers some bacon if they ask. This Five Guys is right across the parking lot from the Target. It's located in a building with Panda Express. I come here for lunch often since it is so close to Rutgers University. This Five Guys is just like every other five guys. It doesn't seem particularly remarkable or worse off that any of the others that I've been too. They have the nice gold peak ice tea machine which is a plus. The burgers here are always cooked to perfection and the best part is you can make your burger with any of their many toppings. The only catch is the buns are kind of boring, and they always fall apart when I'm eating my burger. That's the only thing keeping them at 4 stars for me. The fries are really good too. The Cajun fries are the way to go. They have some kick, but not enough to cause digestive problems. The free peanuts are a fun treat too! read more

Tip: The smallest fries is enough for 2 people. The fries are great. The burger which can get very messy was also very tasty. The free peanuts are an added bonus. I am just not sure if a burger, fries, and a small soda are really worth the $11 plus I paid to wait in line to place an order and then either stand or sit (peanut eating opportunity) waiting for my order. At least some places like Smashburger bring the food to you. And that $11 could have been a few dollars more because I stopped the cashier from trying to upsell me to a cheeseburger and large fries. Incidentally, the small fries are enough for two people. The large must feed a family. Ok, so the food was very good but I thought the price point was a little extreme on the high side for a self-service operation. This place is very good and always we can get seats and my orders got ready around 10 minutes. Only concern is staff has to improve the making as juicy and they should pack the burgers immediately when it got ready. There are 1 or 2 minutes late and my cheese not getting melted well and missing the excellent juicy taste also do not over cook the meat. This is a good place to go to when you are craving a (bit on the greasy side but satisfying) burger. I usually get a junior hamburger or cheeseburger with onions, mustard, pickles, and ketchup, and it always hits the spot. They also serve hot dogs, fries, and milkshakes. The Cajun fries seem to be a popular pick if you're into spicy foods. As with all Five Guys, there are free peanuts and a generous serving of fries. Come here if you're craving a burger, fries, and/or you have kids that don't yet sit still at a restaurant--there are crayons and index cards to keep them busy. read more

5 guys is by far for me 5 stars , but I give this location 3 for customer service ! 5 guys for me is a far drive from home so to commute and receive my order wrong was upsetting . I was eating my fries on the way home and noticed my Cajun fries weren't Cajun , so I went back . One girl was helpful and the other 2 employees just stared at me , stared I was a "Karen" and when they gave me the seasoning she asked with a tone "is this enough? " I didn't do anything wrong , I said please and thank you . Never order off the app. They never make it within 20 minutes of the order. It's consistent, I order when I'm 10 minutes away, arrive, wait for 5-8 minutes, ask about it, and no one knows what's going on. You're better off waiting in line and dictating your order. It would be better if I were compensated, apologized to, or some sort of acknowledgement for this consistent mistake. This is the last time I'll come to this 5 guys for a while. Btw took 29 minutes to get a burger and fries, when I asked for the burger re-made (it was sitting above the fries station for 20 minutes), I was asked for a reason and when I gave my answer he looked at me like I was crazy! I usually just take my late food and go but if anyone else has this problem, make them re-make it! It'll hopefully force them to improve their customer service and online ordering system. We drove to NJ to visit my Aunt and Uncle who live down the road from this New Five Guys. I know my Aunt loves Johnny Rockets, so I mentioned we should come here for lunch. The place was packed! Every seat taken! They were so happy that we introduced them to Five Guys, they loved it. My sister and I have been to the ones where we live on Long Island, but this one gets the big 5 stars because besides being the usual delicious, they were super accommodating. They forgot my moms mushrooms and when she went back up to order something else and as usual, chatting it up, letting them know shes on a diet, cant have the bread and they forgot her mushrooms, they right away gave her a whole new burger for free and apologized.
