Having early dinner here on a Saturday. The place is packed. I ordered bacon burger all the way. The beef patties were freshly cooked, NOT frozen, juicy and medium well. The veggies blended well with sliced bacon and melted cheese. It's delicious! My only concern is their fries. It's saggy and bland. The best potato fries I've ever tasted is the fries being made by In and Out burger in the Midwest and the West Coast. Their famous roasted peanuts are the best! Serving staff are kind and courteous. The only thing is the restaurant does take some time to cook the french fries and hot dog because they actually cook it on the grill. French fries: Has a lot of flavor to it but it is really greasy. Especially when they put it in the brown paper bag, you can see all the grease on the outside of the bag. Hot dog: It tastes good but it is also very greasy that makes me not want to eat any more of it. Overall: This restaurant is OK and the only downfall is that the food is super greasy at times. I totally forgot how good Five Guys is. Went today for the first time in years and really enjoyed my food. I ordered the mini burger (all the way is with all the toppings) which by the way is still really freaking huge and apparently the regular comes with two patties, wow. Small fries was plenty for me and I could not finish because they also give you bag fries on top. Only criticism is that the orders took way long (at least 15 minutes or more) to come out because they seem to prioritize online food delivery orders first which was really annoying. But it wasn't the end of the world but if I were in a hurry to take it to go... Maybe. With my burger, fries and drink my meal was $13 and change. Not too bad but more than I expected. Let me start by saying I'm a huge five guys fan, and this is my closest one to my apartment. It is also the worst five guys I have ever been too. It's incredibly slow, disorganized, and dysfunctional where as every five guys I ever went too is the exact opposite. I've been to this location multiple times and it's always slow and disorganized, but whatever... the last time I went they gave me soggy cold fries and no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger, after waiting about 30 minutes in the restaurant after ordering. This has never happened to me at any other five guys locations. This Five Guys is right across the parking lot from the Target. It's located in a building with Panda Express. I come here for lunch often since it is so close to Rutgers University. This Five Guys is just like every other five guys. It doesn't seem particularly remarkable or worse off that any of the others that I've been too. They have the nice gold peak ice tea machine which is a plus. The burgers here are always cooked to perfection and the best part is you can make your burger with any of their many toppings. The only catch is the buns are kind of boring, and they always fall apart when I'm eating my burger. That's the only thing keeping them at 4 stars for me. The fries are really good too. Only concern is staff has to improve the making as juicy and they should pack the burgers immediately when it got ready. Tip: The smallest fries is enough for 2 people. The fries are great. The burger which can get very messy was also very tasty. The free peanuts are an added bonus. I am just not sure if a burger, fries, and a small soda are really worth the $11 plus I paid to wait in line to place an order and then either stand or sit (peanut eating opportunity) waiting for my order. At least some places like Smashburger bring the food to you. And that $11 could have been a few dollars more because I stopped the cashier from trying to upsell me to a cheeseburger and large fries. I usually get a junior hamburger or cheeseburger with onions, mustard, pickles, and ketchup, and it always hits the spot. They also serve hot dogs, fries, and milkshakes. The Cajun fries seem to be a popular pick if you're into spicy foods. As with all Five Guys, there are free peanuts and a generous serving of fries. Never order off the app. They never make it within 20 minutes of the order. It's consistent, I order when I'm 10 minutes away, arrive, wait for 5-8 minutes, ask about it, and no one knows what's going on. You're better off waiting in line and dictating your order. It would be better if I were compensated, apologized to, or some sort of acknowledgement for this consistent mistake. This is the last time I'll come to this 5 guys for a while. Btw took 29 minutes to get a burger and fries, when I asked for the burger re-made (it was sitting above the fries station for 20 minutes), I was asked for a reason and when I gave my answer he looked at me like I was crazy! We drove to NJ to visit my Aunt and Uncle who live down the road from this New Five Guys. I know my Aunt loves Johnny Rockets, so I mentioned we should come here for lunch. The place was packed! Every seat taken! They were so happy that we introduced them to Five Guys, they loved it. My sister and I have been to the ones where we live on Long Island, but this one gets the big 5 stars because besides being the usual delicious, they were super accommodating. They forgot my moms mushrooms and when she went back up to order something else and as usual, chatting it up, letting them know shes on a diet, cant have the bread and they forgot her mushrooms, they right away gave her a whole new burger for free and apologized. Came here today for the first time with a group of coworkers. I am not a huge fan of burgers but I thought these were great. I got the little bacon cheese burger (not little ha! Just 1 patty instead of 2) I got to pick from a selection of toppings, all of which were fresh, the jalepenos were fresh and I had a nice spicy bunch!
