Called him and he asked me to send him a pic of the section of the house on which I needed gutters installed and Miller said he'd contact me after 4 of july break - OK , that's cool. Week after I texted a few times, then called - totally ghosted me. I guess my job wasn't big enough for him since I wanted just one section my house done w/gutters, but I guess it was too much for him to spend 20 seconds to text me back that he was too busy or that my job was too small for him to bother with. Oh well. So no knock against 5 guys but maybe they ought to reassess with whom they partner. read more

Nice people to deal with, however I paid 1600 dollars for them to repair, fix broken tile, remove debris, and add elastomeric paint to a section. I received an inspection report, as I'm selling the home and numerous broken/cracked tile were found as well as debris. Several other issues were reported as well by the inspector. The roof work was completed on a Tuesday and the inspection on Friday. I feel the price was more than reasonable but obviously they missed quite a few things. read more

I thought we had a great experience, but then they didn't fix the problem, and had to come back... TWICE. Although the manager said he would update the warranty, we also had requested a water test on the third time fixing to make sure there were no problems, and had to remind the manager of this since his guys didn't follow through. We had a roof leak after the recent storms so I gave 5 guys a call. McKay was able to make it out right away and take a look. He gave me a few different options from full replacement to just repairs. I decided to go with a full replacement. I was scheduled for 2 weeks later. The guys showed up on time and except for some weather delays we're able to replace the roof quicker then expected. Bryan the project manager kept me in communication the whole way. Since the replacement we've had some crazy rain and wind storms and the roof has held up great! Wow. Jake was awesome today for a general roof inspection. Took his time, was very thorough, and had the heart of a teacher. Contacted this business twice to get foam roofing resurfacing quote. These guys were recommended by an AC contractor providing a quote. Never heard back from the 1st contact so called them again. I was in a crunch during a 10 day home inspection period and even though this company was pushed out beyond that with other jobs they still managed to fit me in. tl;dr: Not reliable, don't communicate well, questionable work and don't recommend them! Their pricing was great, they scheduled two weeks out (weather permitting), and were all very nice. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the lack of communication and follow through from this company. Their email said we would receive an email 10 days before the job asking for a deposit. About 5 days before, we reached out to them asking if we were still scheduled because we received no such email. They said we were and sent out the email the following morning. We paid the deposit and expected them to arrive Monday morning by 8:30am. By 8am that morning, I checked the weather and it said there was a 20% chance of rain the following evening, but they said they could get it done in 2 days and hadn't cancelled yet. At 8:30 I had to call them asking where they were and was told they did not receive any news of problems with the job and that I would be called back immediately. I called back again at 9 and was told they meant to inform me they would not come because of the weather the following evening. We tried checking other companies, but they were booked further out. Our AC was replaced almost a week sooner, but left a small portion exposed for the roofers to finish, so we had to stay with Five Guys. Sadly, they only offered $100 discount on almost a $13,000 job, but were otherwise okay if they lost the job. We agreed to do the job Wednesday and Thursday instead. Later in the week, the project manager informed me (accidentally) that the job was canceled on Monday because the person who they hired to do the bid received a higher bid he chose instead. He also said the guy could've had it done before the rain and would've brought his own dumpster even. Since they couldn't do that themselves, they postponed it. The roofing job itself seems fine, but we aren't experts and other work we noticed was not great. Included in the job, was replacing a few fascia boards in our patio. The wood they chose was cracked and had several knots all over it, which was upsetting to see. The job wasn't finished until Friday morning and we were told the dumpster and some extra materials would be picked up later that day or the following day. It is now Tuesday, and the dumpster and materials are still on our driveway. We had to call them this morning to remind them it was still here and not picked up, and they said it would be picked up tomorrow! read more

You can expect a quick response from them either via phone or email. I received 3 different quotes the same day Justin came out to my house, which is great because other companies took 3-5 days. Lexi is the receptionist and Mike helps with scheduling and they are both so helpful and professional. The guys got my new roof done in about 4 days and did an amazing job. I would not recommend this company to anyone due to their horrible services. It has been over 4 months and they still haven't done fixing our roof. They did the first time and left a tile missing on the eaves and did not come back until we called. They sent some one out to replace the missing tile but then left the one right next to it broken. Shame on them that they still sent us the picture, claiming the job was done. I guess their manager never checked on the work of his staff. They had to send someone back out for the 3rd time to fix that tile but then the guy moved or loosened the tile above it so now there is a hole. Our manager has been sending them emails and calling them to have that fix again but nothing has been done. They made appointment without showing up. Their supervisor promised to go to the site to correct the issue and send us the pictures of completion but so far nothing has happened. How could they call themselves professional with this kind of services! We should have hired a handyman to fix this issue and he might have done a better job. Don't use these guys if you don't want to go thru what I had to go thru with them. read more

I spoke with a lot of companies and did intensive research to have our home re-roofed. Choosing Five Guys was a great decision for us. From start to finish, the folks at Five Guys were great. The estimate was right on, Tanner took the time to answer all my question and gave us options. Once we made the decision the Five Guys team set up the schedule and performed exactly as expected. One of the things I really appreciated was the ongoing communication while work was being done. Every day the team cleaned up the area before they left for the day. What was amazing was watching the team that did the re-roof. They worked HARD, non-stop and were professional and know the right way to re-roof a house. I hired Five Guys to certify my flat top roof's integrity per the requirement of my mortgage company. Five Guys certified the flat top roof to be leak free for two years. After six months, the flat top roof leaked. When I called Five Guys, they did come and put a sealant on a portion of my roof, but did not seal the portion that actually leaked in the first place. I have called, left voicemails, texted, and emailed the company, and no one calls me back. I'll never use them for any work again because of their unwillingness to fix what they certified and lack of communication. read more

First off I did not have any work performed by Five Guys. I contacted them after a big storm and they told me that they were busy and could come out next week. No problem, I had a few other roofers come by in the mean time to give estimates. Five guys came out and spend about 10 minutes getting out a ladder and walking to the spot on the roof that leaked. Snapped a few pictures and left. I got there estimate a day or so later... it was 3 times what other company's quoted! I think it's nonsense that they want to charge $50 to write a outrageous estimate and in my opinion had no intention on performing the work since they were busy from the storm that rolled through. What a joke! I had the repair done for a fraction of what five guys quoted... and didn't have to pay for an estimate. read more

Ben & Ty from 5 Guys Roofing came to the house on 1/23/20 to do a 10'x10' patch that had been done by another roofer and was just terrible! They were on time and about as pleasant as you can be. They looked the job over with me and tore the old patch off, found some other problems under it and explained exactly how they were going to fix the issues. They did a great job and you can not tell there is a patch there at all. It was obvious the Ben really knew what he was doing with asphalt shingles repairs! I highly recommend 5 Guys roofing! Thanks Jake and crew for being so responsive! I am selling my house and was concerned about an upcoming home inspection. A previous inspection revealed missing tile and other issues. 5 Guys responded quickly with an estimate based upon the earlier inspection and within 48 hours had a crew making repairs and doing an impeccable clean up. The subsequent inspection resulted in additional findings which Jake did a fair assessment on resulting in his crew coming back to repair roof end-caps as part of the original estimate. He evaluated the other findings, gave his estimate and also an honest evaluation as to whether they were items that truly needed attention. Jesse and Jake are the main people I have communicated with. They are both very friendly and knowledgeable. Their workers are mainly Mexican and sometimes don't speak the best English, but they always arrive on time, complete the work and clean up. They put on a new foam roof a few years ago. Removed the old roof totally and applied new foam. I did have some issues after a big rain. They did honor the warranty. Fixed the problem including interior damage. They both respond quickly to my emails or phone calls. I am currently having them replace the undercoating for my tile roof. Being from the Midwest I was unaware the tile could be removed and replaced. Another company might of told me the tile needed to be replaced, thus gouging their estimate. 5 Guys' prices are reasonable and fair. They are also very responsive to my needs. read more
