On July 18th, 2023 My wife and I drove to Five Guys located in Plantation, Florida in the Broward Mall, The Fountains. I just recently had surgery and I needed to use the restroom, I walked towards the restrooms, they had two restrooms. I tried to enter the restroom but the door was locked and there was a young employee who was standing near the rest rooms and I asked him was someone using the restroom and he said there was someone in one of them but the other rest room was locked. I said I really need to use the restroom and he said let me go up front and get a key to the other restroom that was not being used. He proceeded to the front of the counter as I followed and he asked his manager for the key to the restroom, the manager told the employee that it was locked, the employee looked at me and told the manager that I needed to use the restroom as he pointed to me. The manager said something to the employee that I didn't hear, but the employee came back to me and said the manager said they didn't have a key to the restroom. I said to the manager you don't have a key, he said I would have to pick the lock to open the door, I said would pick the lock so I can use it he said nope. I turned to my wife and I told her to cancel the order for food because if I couldn't use there restroom they would not be getting any of my money ever. My wife and I departed and proceeded next door to the Italian restaurant (Sicilian Oven). I asked may I use your restroom and she directed me to the location, I told my wife we will be eating here today and I am so glad that we did the food was excellent. But I will never go back to that Five Guys eatery again. read more

I love this Five Guys location, they work like a well oiled machine. I came in and ordered a Bacon cheeseburger with all of my fav fixings and a side of small fries. I asked for extra cheese on my burger at the last minute but they still had no problem doing it for me. The customer service here was amazing and the cashier was very nice and inside was spotless. I also LOVE how they dump extra fries in the bag, my small fries was technically a large lol.. but back to the burger ........... LITERALLY the Most Juiciest burger I have ever ate! The meat was cooked perfectly and the cheese was melted just how I like, also every single topping I had on my burger was fresh and omg the fries was amazing and everything was fresh and hot! Typical Five Guys chain location. Order at the counter then eat peanuts while you wait. Usually the tables are dirty and the drink/condiment area is often a mess too. Seems like the norm for any Five Guys location I've been to. Their online ordering system is easy to use and you can customize your order. I was craving a burger and some of their Cajun fries so with that being said I ordered ahead online at about 4:15PM for a 5PM pickup. At 4:55PM I was called by the store to let me know that they're out of bowls...then the girl asks if I want a lettuce wrap instead. Nope, I want a bowl not a wrap because a wrap never holds together and it's more of a mess than I want to deal with. Get more bowls and maybe notify the customer more in advance instead of 5 minutes before pickup! read more

Pretty good burger. My lower rating than normal is really about me more than Five Guys. If you are like me, you avoid going to The Fountains because for the most part it would be better to get a root canal than go to a mall. I make exceptions that I always regret, but driving and parking are both particularly a nightmare in The Fountains, especially during lunch time. I wanted to try Five Guys anyway, so I made an exception. Plus they have online ordering, which I love using most times, and was hoping it would ease the misery of my normal experience. Another plus that coaxed me was they had a small order of fries because most places these days only offer ginormous orders that I can never finish, and never save for later...so it seems wasteful to order them at all. Another good thing is they had the option to order the burger wrapped in lettuce in lieu of a bun, which I have to say isn't my preference. It's just that I need to eat a lot of protein, and filling up on the bread usually means I eat less meat. It was nice to be able to omit the bread and still handle the burger. I was able to eat a lot more of the beef than I usually have room for this way. The restaurant was okay, but as usual at the Fountains, I was a bit preoccupied as it was a hassle finding parking, and I had to turn my car around to get a spot close the the place as other drivers were salivating for my spot. I was hoping I would walk in and grab my food and walk out, but they weren't ready. This annoys me when they have plenty of time to prepare my order before I arrive. So I am not sure if is their policy not to make the fries until the person arrives, or if was just an oversight. I had paid ahead, but it was still as if I ordered onsite, so it wasn't much of an advantage to order online. I must say they were really nice there. Out of all of the burger joints - this is my number one pick. Every time I dine here, it's always consistent - the food is always fresh/hot/delicious, and the service is always good. There's never a complaint coming from me. The menu includes: burgers, dogs, and sandwiches. Quick tip - the burger has two patties, and the "little" burger has two patties. They also offer fresh cut french fries (which are really fresh) and drinks. You have the option of adding cheese and bacon to any order. And the good news - the other toppings are free. And if you're not a meat lover - they have a veggie sandwich. Today, I ordered the little burger with cheese and bacon ($5.79) and I shared the regular fries ($3.59) with cajun on the side. My boyfriend ordered the bacon cheeseburger ($7.59) and a small soda ($2.29). I LOVED my burger. I thought it was portioned greatly and tasted delicious. The fries were also very, very fresh. Everyday on the board by the cashier, they tell you where the fries are from. You have the option of ordering them regular or with cajun. To be on the safe side, I ordered cajun on the side since I don't really like it too spicy or too overbearing. In addition, they offer free peanuts while your waiting for your food. It's crazy how they allow their customers to throw the cracked peanut shells on the floor. I feel the prices are reasonable, especially compared to the other burger joints - where it's at least $15 per person. I had the Little Cheeseburger tonight for dinner and it was very satisfying! I love that your burger is completely made to order and that toppings such as grilled onions don't cost more. My burger was well seasoned and well cooked. The service was fast and super friendly. Plentiful outdoor seating is a nice bonus for this location. This review is really 3.5 stars. I absolutely will return to 5 Guys again, and based on experience I know that the food is consistently good. Well this was my case with Five Guys, I tried it on a couple occasions in the past and it fell short, the food was greasy and the buns were soggy, nothing I would ever wish even on my enemies. I do not see the hype in paying over $10 got a burger that is supposedly award winning or a favorite..I enjoy shake shack in sawgrass way more for better price point and tastier. I ordered the little Bacon Cheeseburger and even though the patty seemed to be fresh and smashed, I barely tasted the bacon and there was a lot of bacon on there so I appreciate that but it seemed to lack flavor. Same with the cheese in burger..didn't taste or enjoy it as much as other cheeseburgers..and it's over $10 for burger alone, then have to pay like $4 more for fries..I like spicy so I went with Cajun..they served me the normal way and when I went to ask if fries were normal or Cajun, they apologized and gave me the Cajun seasoning so I can place the fries and seasoning in a paper bag and shake it up myself. Not sure if it would taste the same as if it were cooked with seasoning originally but I didn't think it was spicy at all. Not my first time at Five Guys but my first time at this location. If you want the convenience of fast food but wang fresh food cooked in front of you, five guys is a great choice. You have a large selection of food single and double burgers with cheese or bacon, or BOTH! Hotdogs and well seasoned fries which I recommend the Cajun style fries. The Fountains of Plantation, since its renovation lends a great outdoor patio area. Where you can enjoy the fresh air and the slight bustle of the Sunrise/Plantation area. Service is always fast and always friendly, and I can tell they put great effort to make sure your order is right the first time. Which isn't always the case with fast food. read more

The attitude! Wow. Walked in to no line and three employees standing behind the registers. We stood there for a long time without any of them saying anything or even looking at us while they divided up their tips. I'm guessing they were waiting for a shift change, but it was seriously awkward. Another employee came from the back and talked with the other employees but STILL no one even acknowledged us. I like this place for the most part. Fries are usually a little more soggy than I prefer but the portion is large and you always get "bag fries". Toppings are free and you can order your burger or dog however you like. Everything is made to order and you can watch them cook up your food while you wait. The size of the burger is decent and ps.. little burger means single patty otherwise you are getting a double burger. There are peanuts available to eat while you wait and the Coke machines are the kind where you can make up to 5 million combinations. I mean who hasn't craved a diet orange sprite?? The burgers are always on point and juicy and the staff is always cheerful. Their menu is a little limited compared to say char hut. All and all, not a bad place. I'm not one to write many reviews, particularly a bad one. I usually contact the place by email and go from there, but I couldn't find an email on their website. I have been here once before and liked it a lot. Being in the area again, I ordered a burger for me and one for my son, to go. Service from the cashier was good, the order on paper was correct, and both burgers and a large fries were in one bag; unfortunately I didn't open the foil to check that I got while I was there. When I got home we realized that the toppings for my small burger should have been on the big burger and vice-versa. It wouldn't be a big deal if I liked bbq sauce, cheese and bacon, which I eat but don't care for, but my son got a big burger with onions, mayo & tomato, which he doesn't like. Mistakes happen, so that's not even why I'm writing. My complain is about the price x value. $9.77 for a burger that can't compare to one in a regular restaurant that I could get for only a couple of dollars more? A thin meat patty on a grocery store kind of bun was a huge disappointment. $25.85 for two burgers, french fries and a medium drink is exorbitant. Some say the burgers are juicy, I say they are drenched in grease! However, like previously mentioned, I cant help but eat one of these every now and then...and every time I do, out love affair lasts about 10 minutes. (Thats how long it takes me to eat a cheeseburger), once the 10 minutes are up, I begin questioning my decisions. The burgers are pretty massive, so if you are a lightweight when it comes to burgers, you might want to consider ordering a mini (I believe that what they are called). Now, their french fries...ohhhh...their french fries. Now everyone I know is a fan of their fries, but I cannot get myself to love them. They always seem saggy and oily. I think it's fair to say that I am a fan of Five Guys burgers. Having lived in California for a long time, my heart really goes to In-n-out burgers. But when that's not available Five guys is my "go to" for great burger. I especially like how they burgers are always juicy even though they cook them pretty well. And I like to be able to choose As many toppings as I like for no extra charge. I also really like their fries. They are natural cut fries with the skin and they make them crispy. Plus when you order a regular serving, they give you tons of fries. There's always more than enough fries for me, the wifey and our kid to share and still have some left over. Of course I like them so much I eat more than I should and there are no fries leftover. This location for formula pretty well. They're free roasted peanuts to have when you walk in the door even without having ordered anything. And they make the burgers well, just like other locations I have been to. The menu is always limited, but I'm a fan of doing a few things very well, instead of doing many things averagely. My one gripe with the five guys chain, is that usually the restaurants feel a little dirty, or unkempt. This particular location is little bit better than most, so that's a bonus. read more

Also if you order fries you'll get a standard cup of fries and they also dump another half cup into the bag. Those are always the best.
