There are way more options and it's still really easy to get something healthy without spending a ton. I got the Chicken Protein Bowl XL with brown rice, avocado, sweet potatoes, pepperoncinis, a hard boiled egg and extra chicken. The portions were really good, especially for the price. You can't really tell from the picture, but there was an insane amount of chicken buried underneath the rice. I kept thinking I was almost done with the chicken and then finding more underneath which was definitely a nice surprise. Everything in the bowl tasted fresh and the chicken was probably my favorite part. I also liked how customizable everything was. There are enough different proteins and toppings that you could come here pretty often without having to get the same thing every time. I've also tried the lobster rolls here in the past. I thought those were pretty average, but definitely not bad considering the price. I'd probably stick with the bowls going forward though. I'm really happy to have another healthy fast food option around here, good portions, lots of protein, plenty of choices and the prices are actually reasonable.

My daughter has been raving about this place so I thought I would give it a shot and googled if…read morethere was an Angie's near where I was going to be and lo and behold, there was not too far away at 1st Ave/Thomas. That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean. The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded. Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. If you're coming west on Thomas, make a u-turn after you pass 1st Ave.

My order was ready within 5-7 minutes. Be sure to stock up on salsa/onions/carrots while you wait! The fish tacos were fully dressed with the chipotle sauce, pico de gallo, and cabbage. They were at least 3-4 pieces of fish in each taco. I honestly could have eaten 1 and been full, but fish doesn't make for good leftovers. Would definitely get it again! Located on Roosevelt Row, Taco Boy's has a parking lot. It's not big, but I found a spot on a Thursday evening. Ambiance (3.5/5): Taco Boy's is a little chaotic. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. It's not a large taco joint, and it's a popular taco joint. Which means you'll see a lot of people cycling in and out, as a lot place to-go orders too. Not the most calm experience, but not an issue for me. You'll also come out smelling like meat lol. They have an open kitchen, and it smells fantastic. The downside is that it sticks to your clothes, too. Service (4/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience, but for what it is, it's pretty smooth. They took my order quickly, I paid relatively quickly, and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Drinks (5/5): I'm a sucker for agua frescas. Taco Boy's delivers. They had four flavors available. I went with the pineapple/mango. It's served in a large cup. Good stuff. Food (5/5): I wasn't terribly hungry so I got a small barbacoa quesadilla. Outside of quesadillas, they have tacos, vampiros, and burritos. Your choice of meat including usual suspects like carne asada, al pastor, chicken, etc. They grill all of their food right in front of you and it's absolutely delicious. Fresh off the grill. Flavorful. Well marinated. Quality meats and ingredients. At the complimentary salsa bar, you can stock up on various sauces, limes, cucumbers, etc. I can't wait to get back to have a heartier meal and try out more of their items. Hands-down, the best Mexican food I've had in Phoenix so far (after a year and a half).

At the downtown Phoenix location, my order was made incorrectly, yet I still paid full price. After going through the drive-thru, I had to go inside just to get my large fries corrected. Instead of a simple apology, the employee working the fries gave me an attitude and claimed there weren't any fries left, even though it was obvious there were plenty available. I want to give credit where it's due--Luis was the only employee who treated me with respect and provided great customer service. Unfortunately, the manager, Yamileh, didn't seem to care about resolving the situation or making things right. To make matters worse, they told me they didn't have Texas toast, even though it's one of Whataburger's signature bread options and is featured on their menu. I was also charged for additional fries just to get the order corrected, which shouldn't happen when the mistake wasn't mine. The staff seemed more focused on having a good time with each other than making sure customers received the correct orders. On top of that, the food quality was disappointing. The burger and fries were overly salted, making the meal almost impossible to enjoy. I've always enjoyed Whataburger, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope management addresses the customer service, professionalism, and quality control at this location because loyal customers deserve much better.
