This is the location at the Florida Mall and they have a lot of competition here. In true Five Guys fashion they deliver every time. At least one of our group eats here every time we visit the mall. On this occasion we all ate here. Service was quick and efficient. All the employees were wearing masks and gloves and they have barriers up by the registers. All the food is prepared to order and tastes great. You get plenty of fries with every order. This is always a great place to eat. read more

We just went here to the Five Guys in the Florida Mall on our first night of a conference. It seemed odd not to see a menu board overhead, but they have laminated menu cards. We ordered the regular size cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce instead of in a bun to reduce the carb count. My wife sat down and I waited at the counter and it was odd, because the first burger seemed to be done and wrapped for a while before the second one was ready. (I could tell it was ours because of the lettuce!). Maybe they initially thought I had ordered only one and then realized their error. It made for a longer wait, but it wasn't a tragedy and nobody died. The burgers were delicious as always. We often have the fries also, which are usually yummy, but we resisted the urge ''tis time. read more

The food here is always good. On this visit, they seem to be a little disorganized. For whatever reason there seemed to be some people behind the counter that were a little frazzled. Anyway, that did not affect my Everything burger with bacon on it. I mean, what doesn't bacon make better? I received my double patties perfectly cooked. All the toppings that I like. And of course bacon. I'm sure because this location is inside the Florida Mall. it gets a little busy. But in the end, it's worth the wait, for some really good food. We were in The Florida Mall to have some repair work done on my shoes; and, my wife was hungry, so we stopped in at Five Guys. She got the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with the Little Fries. The fries were over-the-top, there were so many of them it was incredible! The food here is always good, the burgers cooked fresh-to-order. She got her bacon cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. She really enjoyed it... needed some "help" with those fries, which I will happily provide! At $13 for a burger, fries, and water, pricing is a bit steep. The slogan used to be, "the best $5 burger you can put in your mouth." Now, it's almost 50% more. read more

Who doesn't love a greasy hard to fit in the mouth burger every once in awhile? This location is in the dining pavilion in the Florida mall. When we arrived after our morning of shopping around 11:45am it was not too busy yet. There was two people in line in front of us. We were greeted and help right away. (nicely greeted by the way). We had our meal within 5 minutes of ordering. The burger, nicely stacked was packed with gooey cheese and crispy bacon. We always go with the "little bacon cheeseburger" because the regular size is huge. And we go with the smaller size of french fries as they always put the fry cup in the bag and then put more fries on top of that. Love me some hot and salty fries. Drinks even though behind the register are free refills. The food court area was tended to by many making sure the area was clean and well kept. The only difference here than in a restaurant locale is no peanuts. I am ok with that... read more

I really wanted to like this place. I've read reviews all over the web about this "guilty pleasure" burger emporium. Its supposed to be a clone of the famous California burgerteria, In n' Out. Frankly, I can see why. Cooking and serving food to attractive people of whatever sex you prefer in a busy place is a pretty good gig. I sure enjoy doing it. The place was clean. Five stars for that. The order taker spoke English. With a smile! Five stars for that. The cook did exactly as he was trained to do, and seemed genuinely happy to be doing it. Five stars for that. Ditto for the manager, who spoke to me twice! The food. Awww. Here's where things take a turn for the worse. The burger was cooked on a griddle, not a grill. This ensures a 'juicy' (drenched in grease) burger, even when cooked to the standard 'well done' (no pink stuff here) company standard. I'm betting that the meat is at least 30/70 fat to lean. And it smelled faintly like a teenage boys sneakers. Faintly, but unmistakably. The fries are made from fresh potatoes, and they even go so far as to post where today's potatoes are from. When they put your burger and your fries in the bag, they dump an extra scoop of fries on top! Nice. Except that the fries are limp. That isn't because I came on a bad night, that's the way Five Guys makes 'em. Oh, and more grease. The bag was soaked before I found a seat in the food court only 25 feet from the counter. I was feeling sick minutes after I finished my burger and less than half of the fries. The rest went into the trash. I guess the Presidents stomach is stronger than mine. Since this location is in the food court at a mall, there are NO free peanuts. Soooooo, Five Guys gets five stars for service, five stars for cleanliness, but only one star for food. I hate to do this, because I was treated so well by the people who work there. But that's what I saw. 11/17/09 UPDATE: I ate there again today, at the urging of a friend. The burger smelled and tasted fine. The fries were not crisp, but were cooked enough to be pretty enjoyable. Both were better than before. Clean place, a friendly staff who know what they're doing make Five Guys shine, for a food court place. If you're stuck in the mall, go for it. But Back Yard Burgers is only a block away has better burgers and lower prices. read more

I don't know who these haters are but I love Five Guys. Sure the line is a bit crazier here because it's the Florida Mall but it's all the same. Big, sloppy and greasy burgers that taste magnificently delicious with a ridiculously huge and unnecessary side of their fantastic french fries. The people are friendly, the burgers are made relatively quickly and I'm never dissatisfied with the quality. If you're NOT looking for a heavy meal do not go to Five Guys. Typical five guys. First time I've actually been to one inside a mall though. Anyway I didn't order but my other half always gets my order right so I know it was the crew who screwed it up. Five Guys offers really great burgers with free unlimited toppings and fresh cut fries for an occassional super indulgent lunch. Although this location is in a food court there were a few things that I did not see that the regular stores have, like peanuts. Not that anyone needs even more fat than the beeef and french fries, but they are still a nice treat. I liked that the refills on the sodas are still free and service here was exceptional in spite of the crowds. I do appreciate that they have added a little fry to the menu since an order of regular fries is usually too much for even two people to share. Though I have to say the size on the regular fry has decreased a little too. Either way, can't get a better burger in the mall anywhere but Five Guys. read more

I've never had any issues at any Five Guys and this one is no different. The staff is always friendly and seems like they really enjoy their jobs. The line can get long on the weekends but you can always order ahead of time online and go pick it up. Yeah the food is heavy and greasy but if that's not what you want then maybe you'd be better off eating at one of the few salad places in the food court. read more

I absolutely love Five Guys. And when I get my fries I order them extra crispy lightly salted because if not they only stay crispy for a couple minutes and they are wayyyy too salty. So I did this and got served fries less than a minute after I ordered. I was like oh you already had them down? She said yes. I bit into a fri while walking out and it tasted like it had been cooked, sat around for a bit and then cooked again. I tried more and they were all that way. I went back and told them so they said they would make more. I waited and then received some fries that were still not very good but literally covered in salt. Like powdered sugar on a fried dough. Fast, friendly cashier. Service time was okay, got an upgrade on the burger because of a small error which made the kid happy. Burger was juicy and tasty, fries were nice and hot and fresh.
