It was fresh, flavorful, and a really solid burger. The thick cut fries were also really good and paired well with it. One thing I wasn't impressed by, though, was the cheese curds. They tasted fine, but there were like 8 of them, and they were almost $6. As someone who grew up in the Midwest where cheese curds are practically a food group, that just didn't feel like a great value. One thing I did appreciate was that everything is made fresh after you order. There was about a 10 to 15 minute wait, but I actually prefer that because it means your food comes out hot instead of sitting under a heat lamp. The restaurant itself was pretty quiet when I visited, so it was an easy place to grab lunch without a crowd. I'd definitely go back for the burgers and fries. If you're looking for a solid burger that's made fresh to order, Wayback is worth checking out.

I've had their burgers before but I think the chicken is just a better value... and I do use the term value loosely. My meal (with a soda pop (cue Hanson)) was over $16 before tax and tip and the only upgrade was the cheese on the fries. Yeah, it's pricey, but it's also pretty good. The store is run pretty efficiently too with a person dedicated to delivering food to tables and keeping things neat and tidy. Plus, if you use the app, you can still get credit for each of your purchases by scanning the barcode on the receipt.
