Five Guys in Olympia is exactly what you'd expect it to be: juicy burgers, crisp bacon and super delicious Cajun fries!! My friends and I are "regulars" and are always greeted by friendly staff (Harley!!) and our orders are always perfect. We usually come in closer to closing time, but are always welcomed and never meant to feel rushed so that they can hurry and get home. Never heard of this hamburger chain before. So I decided to go in and try it out it was nice and clean other than I went to get a napkin out of the napkin holder and messed up one of the co-workers napkins and he looked all pissed off because I messed up his napkins and then goes over there and start slamming things around. The hamburger was awesome and I'm sure the french fries would have been really good too but the young gentleman put way too much salt on them. And I think the prices are a little Hefty. read more

Tasted good but, let's Not go there again. Too much oil and fat. The fries were skin on, which taste fine while hot. then they turn gritty Burger meat was great. Five Guys is always good, but I felt the need to review this particular location because it is definitely the fastest and cleanest location we have ever visited. I was very impressed especially considering that this location is right by the mall, it's a Saturday, and it's 2 weeks til Christmas. The team is super efficient and seem happy. I am a vegetarian. What, you might ask is a vegetarian doing at 5 Guys? Well, sometimes we join our friends who are meat eaters at restaurants. And on those occasions it would be nice to have at least one offering that is suitable for vegetarians. Five Guys almost goes out of their way to insult the preferences of non-meat eaters. It's about time someone actually made their burgers fresh instead of leaving them in a warmer or salt brine. Granted you pay a bit more but it's worth it! Potatoes are fresh cut idahoan, locally sourced veggies according to their person I talked to. The lettuce and tomatoes are fresh and crispy. Lines have been out the door and wait times are a bit long as well as packed seating. While you wait help yourself to the free peanuts. It's still new so the novelty hasn't waned yet. 3rd time eating at a five guys establishment. The Olympia location served up undercooked fries and the burgers were so over cooked on the outsides that they scratched your throat going down. Tried a chocolate shake but it was overly sweet. Cost us just over $50 for a family of 4 with 2 single patty burgers, 2 double patty burgers, and 2 shakes (ice waters only to drink). This location needs some training in the kitchen regarding the cooking. Will not be returning. If I want a good burger I will go to Hops n Drops or Stack. read more

I wish I could give less than a star. For all the hype I thought this place was going to have a real burger, but what I ended up with was two bland circles of cardboard on top of some unmelted cheese squashed between soggy bread. The super special five guys fries were literally fries with salt. Fries with salt that require a special name for some reason. Maybe the special name is for the extra gallon of salt they pour on them? For a cheeseburger and fries is about $10 and you're better off spending that $10 at any of the local burger places that have been doing it for years and you might have some money left for a shake as well. If your entire experience with burgers is jack in the box then maybe this place is like the high point of your day, but not recommended for people that like a good burger. read more

Unfortunately the pieces were so huge I had to pick them off or they would have overpowered the entire sandwich. I love this location! This Five Guys was slightly smaller than other ones I've been to, making it seem cozier and warmer. The food was, as always, great. The fries were well-seasoned, and the cheese on my cheeseburger was melted nicely. But, the thing that went the extra mile here was the politeness of the employees. This was the first five guys I've been to where your order number was followed by "please" when it came up. Very nice touch! The restaurant was also very tidy. Fries were pretty much inedible The space looks cheap and was done on the cheap The service was extremely slow Places that charge for water will always automatically lose a star from me. The soda is massively overpriced as well...AKA they will rip you off for wanting anything to wash the food down with. I'm a big 5 Guys Burger fan, but this Olympia location was not up to the standard that I've gotten used to in the Lakehood and Puyallup locations. The burger I usually get is the cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms and A-1 sauce. The burger I got was way overcooked and not even that hot, probably precooked and left on the grill. It was dry and I couldn't taste any A-1 which is hard to miss. The fries were a little over salted too, the quality control is not up to par. I'll give it another chance but I may have to keep taking the trek up to the 'hood if this one bombs again... read more

I just had lunch, paid $5.89 for the "little" cheeseburger. I asked what the difference was between the standard cheese burger and the little cheeseburger...I was told the little cheeseburger has only one patty. The truth is, the bun is 6" diameter, while the beef patty was at best, 3.5" in diameter. My entire meal cost $12.92, I was VERY disappointed in the burger. Been to a lot of different five guys locations. Usually they fill up your fry cup and dump it in the bag and then refill it again so you basically get 2 cups. This time I only got 2/3 of a cup. Food was as good as other times and so was the wait and service but I felt like I got short changed on the Cajun fries. read more

I'd heard the 5 guys was coming to olympia, so I checked it out last night. When I walked in the music was so loud I could barely think, and when I walked up to the counter, It was so difficult to decide what to order, what with the volume of the music and the fact that everyone behind the counter and in the grill area were yelling at the top of their lungs. I mentioned it to the girl who took my order, and she laughed it off, stating that they are instructed to be loud... I felt like I was in a bar at midnight, it was so difficult to carry on a conversation. As for the food. I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger and an order of fries, the person I was there with ordered the BLT, well with the exception of the bacon the burger was good, the bacon was so over cooked that it crumbled and was dry. It was like it was cooked ahead of time. The fries were a little on the soggy side, like they had been sitting in the basket over the fryer for a length of time... I will give it a few weeks and give it one more try, but at the moment it's not looking promising.. read more

Good burgers but extremely overpriced. Not sure why this is labeled under "$$" should have added a couple to it. $8 bucks for a SINGLE bacon cheeseburger. I guess I was hyped up by friends when it first popped up on the west side of Olympia, nearly spent $15 just for a meal that consisted of fries, a single burger, and a drink which didn't even keep me full for 30min and I'm 120lb.
