Ok, so I finally got a chance to come and try this place. My co-worker told me to come prepared to spend some money. So I did. I showed up at like 4:30 and there was not much of a line. I waited for one person to be helped before me and then it was my turn. I got the bacon burger. I believe it was about a dollar extra for the bacon. Now, Right off the bat I would like to say something. Peanuts. This place lets you get scoops of peanuts in these little paper trays so you can eat them while you wait for your food. It is free. Now the food took a while to come out even though it was not busy. Once the food did get there it was well worth the wait. The burger is BIG. Pretty damn big. It was juicy, tasty, and good. The fries were hot and fresh. Made right on the spot like fries should be. This place should be a 5 star for sure. I don't even mind paying more since you are getting more meat than you would at a normal fast food place. The problem is that I'm not made of money. I can get a great burger combo (with bacon) at a franchise place like Carl's Jr and it will cost me just under 8 bucks. I can get a great burger combo (with bacon) at a little hole in the wall place like Dagglas and it will cost me about 7.50. If I want a big juicy burger every once and while and I feel like dropping a little extra money to get a fantastic burger (with bacon) I will go to FatBurger and pay over $10. Five guys thinks that for some reason their bacon burger, fries and a drink are worth about $12.50! Don't get me wrong. I really liked this burger but it is not any better than FatBurger and you end up paying almost $3 more! Again, I REALLY liked this burger, but In n Out is about 40 feet away. Their patties might be tiny but with $13 in your pocket you can probably buy a 4x4 with fries (better fires) and a drink and have money left over. Let me just say this is my second review &the only reason why i`m writing this is because my first review was high for this same food chain except it was in san diego. If you've read my first review, you'd obviously understand how excited i was to see that they were finally opening one in my area. So within the first week of its opening, i decided to grab a late lunch here with a friend. I hyped up the fact that the burgers had this distinct taste &that the fries were the best fries ive tasted in a fast food burger joint. To my surprise, i was pretty dissappointed. First was the line.. seriously who waits that long for a burger? the line continued past the entrance doors, but i guess i shouldve expected that considering that it was the first week of its opening. Second off, the girl who took my order was pretty rude. I wouldve ignored it completely, but i almost lost my sh/t when she rolled her eyes at me jus cus i asked for an extra toasted bun. The wait for the order wasnt too long, &theres a lot of seating inside &out. when we finally sat down &ate, i was pretty disappointed. its not that it wasnt good, it was just so so. &the fact that the last time i had it it rocked my taste buds for a good minute, i was a bit let down. considering it being a big restaurant food chain, youd expect the taste &experience to be the same no matter what location you're at. so all in all, mediacre burger, fries were good tho. i wouldnt come back to this one again tho. why would i when in &outs right next door? read more

Good burgers I must say but nothing really special. If you're looking for a place that can cook good burgers built with whatever toppings you like, then Five Guys is the place for you, but if you're looking for a memorable burger that has distinct flavour you're probably getting off looking at Inn N Out or going to Islands for a burger like that. The fries are pretty good too. I really like the cajun fries, but I pretty much like cajun spices on anything. So I suggest you try those if you have the chance. Also, if one of your friends (or you, yourself) happens to be allergic to peanuts, you should probably skip out on going to Five Guys. The roasted peanuts are great and free while you're in the place, but a hazard to anyone who is allergic to peanuts, because the peanuts are pretty much unavoidable there. Went to see why it gets glowing reviews. Still stumped. Steamed buns! Not a selling point - who wants a soggy bun that dissolves in your hand? Free peanuts and you can toss your shells on the floor! Yes, but no one ever sweeps them up, so it's like eating while surrounded by garbage! It's reminiscent of that hoarder roommate you had in college! Loads of different toppings! Yes, but some are premium and cost more than others. Even if you don't get a lot of toppings, you're still paying an astronomical amount for a burger you can make at home -- just as the base price BEFORE they tack on the extra price for the toppings. You're paying for options, then paying more when you choose some of those options. Said glowing reviews are pasted all over the walls, as if being bombarded by things other people have said about the place will influence your own opinion of the averageness of the burger. This is the last time I'm going to this place . The burgers patties are packed with grease. You can tell that the workers didnt try for my order. When I came in a nice man took my order, then I sat down. When the food was ready they said number 6 and I came up. The fries were burnt. So when I went up to the cashier, or the nice man, he said can I help you sir? I said the fries were burnt. The other man said yeah in a irritated manner. We argued them he finally agreed to give me the regular fries. The burger is full of grease, and the fries still had 3 inches of the potato skin on my fries. Im giving this place a 3.7 stars. This is absolutely amazing!!!! Food is sooo good and i would take this place instead of in N out 2/3 times. The food is delicious they got a new soda machine too which is cool because u can mix different sodas. SICK!!!! The burger is juicy the toppings are fresh and the fries deliciouse. I got the cajun fries but will stick with the regular it tasted better for me. If its buisy.... NO PROBLEM you got unlimited peanuts to enjoy. AI'm, fat, stuffed, can't move. next time the small burger, expensive but worth it long line but moved fast. Tip, go in sit down and call in the order, got one to go ordered while we were eating, came faster than our first order. Just plain good, Reading the negitive reviews it seems like people want this to be something that it is not, it is expensive, knowing that, It does live up to It's rep. the comparisoins with in and out, carl's? please two different ideas. anyway maybe it will be less crowded now with all your negitive reviews. read more

I drive past this burger joint at least 3-4 times each week, but I'd never paid any attention to it. I was in DC a couple of weeks ago. When my flight landed I was starving. There was a 5 guys right next to the gate and I though I'd give it a try. The burger was so amazing that I was mad at myself for not trying it sooner. As soon as my flight back to LA landed, I went to this five guys on my way home. I don't think I will ever each a burger anywhere else. read more

I guess they let Homeless crackheads eat their peanuts here and use the restroom when they bought nothing. Really gross to experience and this happens 3/3 so i won't be back. Sign on door should say "HOMELESS CAN SHOWER HERE" none of the employees care to say anything or are too scared. The burgers here are nothing special, but the price makes you to think otherwise. With the amount of people, it would seem that this was a popular burger joint. But I was not impressed. To be honest I prefer In-N-Out, which is just next door. Sure they give a bunch of different toppings to choose from. But a burger is suppose to be about the meat and the bun, in my opinion. I have alway been an In-in-out guy, today I decided to do something different, and it don't think it was a bad choice. The selection of topping make the experience worth the change up. and to not have to deal with the extremely large rush hour lines that in-in-out have for a change. Love this place and a great place to take my kids. There are peanut shells all over the floors so I don't have to worry about my kids making a mess. The burgers are a little spendy once you get all that you want on it. But it works the other way too since my kids want nothing on their burgers. I will go back when I just need not to worry about my kids running around! read more

We where excited about trying this place because of there rep. We got the worst service. The service staff left our burgers on the table for 20 mins. I complain and ask to be served. I was treated real bad, it spoilt my meal and I'm still mad. There was no reason to treat us like that. I'm still mad , not going there again plus it was $40 for cold food. read more

Decent burger place at a very convenient location. Service was OK. Ordered a veggie cheese sandwich before heading to costco as I don't like the pizza corner in Costco. It was well made. 3 stars because they could have faster service here---it wasn't too busy but still the service wasn't as fast. No complains on the quality of food. read more

i love the hamburger , i think that the patty are made at the store , and you got allot of topping that you can choose from , the fries are pretty good , and while you wait you can get same free peanuts, i gave it four star because i payed like $12.00 for a meal, and i think that it should cost like $8.00 to be a good value. read more

My brother enjoyed his birthday here. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. However, the prices are insane. I wish that they would have smaller, more reasonable portions with reasonable prices. It would make more sense, as almost nine of us could finish.
