Went to 5Guys for lunch. Got a regual burger with the works sans the grilled onions, fries and a root beer. This was, in my mind, just going to be a burger & fries lunch. The burger was great with the grilled mushrooms, I loved it. Yet the fries were too many to deal with. A regular fries is enough for two people so be for warned. I didn't even get to the ones in the cup because I could not finish the overflow they stuff in the bag. LOL. They definately give you your moneys worth. I am stuffed and don't see myself going through that 2:30pm hunger pains that I get when I don't eat enough for lunch. I will definately be back for more burgers and fries. Found out today that they stay open until 4AM seven days a week. This is going on my list as one of my late night-after the clubs on South Beach spots. read more

I'd like to say that this place is over-rated, but it really is pretty dang good. It's not the best burger place on the beach at all, but it is certainly consistently good and great when it comes to the wallet. I really enjoy their fries which remind of me In-n-Out in California. It's also a great location for leaving your car running while you run in and pick up some late-night grub. read more

New Location in SoBe. They have late hours, so great for after a concert or after a late night out. I think they close at 4am! They have a small looking menu but has an infinite amount of possibilities! For a hungry girl, a "Small burger" is great! It's 1 patty, while the Large of 2 patties. The newness has worn off. Burgers are good, but not unique. Five Guys provides a monster amount of fries, so they are a great value. I would suggest they break from the mold and make specialty burgers. The add on's and cheese selection is limited and that could breath new life into the experience for me. Place looked terribly unsanitary and dirty. Two large trash bins were over flowing and people were just stacking garbage on top. Chairs scattered everywhere. Utensil and ketchup area looked gross. This was on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Burger was good, like all 5 guys restaurants. I just don't think I would ever go here again due to how unclean it looked. Five Guys comes to South Beach and, it's just as good as the Five Guys in Midtown. The only problem here is that it's nearly impossible to find a place to park. It's the usual complaint on South Beach where a nearby parking space has become a rare commodity. Come on! A burger place that offers valet parking? Something is not right about that concept. On unwrapping the burger, I found a squished and soggy bun with a relatively dry thin patty. The fries were okay but they were undercooked and limp. They only use a single cooking temperature of 345F rather than cooking them at two temperatures for a crisp exoskeleton. The best $10 burger and fries meal. You will still feel this meal 6 hours later. I like the red and white old-school styling, and the staff is pretty chill... the whole scene is just a good time. Maybe it's a Southern thing but some guy was drenching the fries in his brown bag with a beer. That was cool - I wanted to ask him about it but he kinda looked angry - that leather jacket raggedly Hells Angels appearance. Didn't want to get knifed. Very good burger, my wife and I shared a "Big Burger" (two patties opposed to one for the "Small Burger") with cheese and bacon. Which was plenty. The choice of toppings is extensive, which is great for since I love a big sloppy burger. The fries were great; fresh cut potatoes with some skin on, just the way I like them. They were the best fries I have had in a long time. Huge portion, three of us shared a regular/small. The best part was domestic and imported beer for only $3.00. I keep hearing that this place is better than In-n-Out. I'm not entirely sure that this is the case. They have really good burgers, but maybe I'm conditioned to In-n-Out's burgers. The idea that I can have mushrooms on my burger excites me. They have really good french fries and they give you a lot. This was great. My buddy and I shared an order of fries and had trouble finishing them because we were still nauseous from the cigars we had smoked. I went here yesterday after the beach, and it sounded pretty good at the time. I've been here before but vaguely remember my experience. I got the cheeseburger with fries. I loved the array of condiments you could choose from, I opted for mustard, ketchup and pickles. The decor is ok, it fits the place. It is a fast-food joint but with fresh, good food. I was dissappointed with the fries. I only ate three. They lacked in taste, and every one was different, and very greasy. I didn't like them, at all. The burger was good. Not like stellar, but pretty good for only waiting 5 mintues. It wouldn't actually go out of my way to eat here, but its good if its just nearby for something quick to eat. read more

My favorite burger joint in south Florida. Love the burger with "all the way on it" (all the veggies). Cajun fries are delicious. Watch out for the portions. A small might look small but it's a small cup of fries that then gets overflowed in that brown paper bag which leads to oil stains all around...some may find this disgusting but I call it love. Was totally not expecting them to be open til 4AM when I got stuck down on the beach in the middle of the night. So glad they were. The burgers are delicious and you're given a wide variety of toppings to choose from at no extra charge. The standard burgers are large, double patty meals. If it wasn't for customer number 36 and my friends misplacement of his receipt, My Five Guys Burger and Fries experience would have been top-notch. But it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, the food was great and the serving size(s) were enormous, but too much can be bad, so can losing your receipt and being customer number 36. Thankfully I had the presence of mind to keep my receipt after purchasing my food. My friend threw his away and had to wait in line again to get a copy. Five Guys has a strict, no excuse policy with receipts. You better have your receipt or your not getting your food. The policy does make sense though, the restaurant is in the middle of the madness that is South Beach. When food is ready, the cooks yell the number of the order to alert the customer that his/her food is ready. Customer 36 decided to go run errands or something because her number was yelled for the most obnoxious ten minutes of my life. When she got back, she lackadaisically walked to the counter and asked if there was an order for customer number 36. I wanted to kill her, so focusing on my food was therefore impossible. Great serving sizes, especially for big eaters, terrible serving sizes for people embarrassed to walk the posh streets of South Beach with a greasy paper bag in hand. Nice friendly and fast. The girls there were very nice to me on one of my late night runs. And they stay open late.

It's as if someone reinvented in-n-out and added a ton of flavors and toppings to the menu. I love how the meat patties are loosely packed which allow every morsel of meat to be seasoned perfectly. Add bacon, mushroom, and grilled onion and this joint has the perfect recipe for a recovery meal. Serve that up with a seasoned brown-bag of fries and you have yourself a 1000 calories of heaven. read more
