I've always wanted to drink at Burger King and I finally got the chance. I came at 10:29am on a Sunday morning, but they did not unlock the doors until 10:37. The food was good and fresh. I was so excited they brought back cheesy tots, I didn't even care that they weren't serving beef. They said there was something broken about cooking the beef, so they only had chicken products. The service was good! All the workers were kind and busy. The inside was clean, yet there were puddles on the floor as soon as I walked in. The worker tried to mop it up, but the floor was pretty wet throughout my visit. Honestly, I was terrified to go the to south beach Burger King, but it was one of my best experiences at Burger King PERIODT. read more

I saw them give a customer a whopper sandwich. The customer sat down, opened it up. They realize their mistake went and picked it up and then re-wrapped and put it back out for the next customer. That is disgusting. That sandwich should've been thrown away immediately. read more

I was in shock and excited when I turned a corner on a Miami street and saw the words Whopper Bar. This is truly an amazing thing. To be able to get a whopper and a beer together would be awesome! We went back a few days later to get a few whopper jrs and some bears. We walked in and I asked the lady if it was too early to sell beer. It was 10:30am. She looked like she didn't understand what I was asking. I asked again thinking she just didn't hear me and she shock her head back and forth. I said beer? And she said no beer in a thick Russian accent. I realize then that it was a language barrier. She pointed at the 1 beer they had left in the cooler. They literally had just 1 beer left. I bought it and this place is no longer a bar apparently since they have no beer left. We tried to order whopper jrs and she kept saying no whopper jrs. A girl standing next to her chimed in and stated they had no buns for the Jr ones only the regular whoppers. Okay, so got 2 whoopers and 1 beer and the total was $21. Ouch but I did it to myself. We sat down with our 1 beer and whoopers that tasted like they had been sitting for a while. Not even warm. There was a bunch of homeless people hanging around. At one point on the patio one homeless person snatched the hose sprayer out of a BK employee's hand and started spraying another homeless person. A guy across the street in front of the police station kept walking over through the restaurant and then walking back to the police station. It was odd. We ate quickly and moved on disappointed in our Whopper Bar experience. read more

At the end of the day, it's still Burger King. To my fellow coworker, William Rutherford Borland, I do not understand for the life of me how you can give this place 5 stars. Is it a Birmingham thing? Is it an inebriated thing? I'll never know. The crowning achievement of the BK Whopper Bar in the heart of South Beach is that it serves beer. Not going to lie, it's pretty freakin' cool! Fast food and a cold one? Deep down, it's what most of us all want. However, it's not what this guy wants. I do not frequent fast food chains anymore except for occasional situations like these. BK was always one of the lesser chains in my opinion. Did it hit the spot? Well, yeah. Again, I can't tell a lie. Cold hard facts: they were out of the beer I wanted, although they have a few options on hand. The line was fairly long. The wait for the food was reasonable. The outdoor patio was nice for a breezy Miami day. And the food was, well, I don't really remember. Slightly gross, slightly greasy, slightly satisfying. We had fun shooting the breeze outside, and that's where the finish line is for me. If you ever wanted to cross off "drinking a beer at a BK" from your bucket list then I guess this is your mecca. If you have ever read my reviews before, I like to compare major chains/similar restaurants to one another as opposed to comparing them to Michelin Star joints. It is not fair to compare a BK to a James Beard award winning restaurant. So I won't do it. When it comes to the Whopper Bar, I will not only compare it to other BKs. But to all fast food restaurants around. It doesn't hurt that this trip was kicked off by starting a podcast discussing the history of BK vs McDs. It made me feel for this Miami based chain. But then you put me on the beach for a few hours sipping beverages with little access to food... and this whopper was game changing. I will try and keep a focused eye despite those extenuating circumstances. But the fact remains: fast food burger with a buzz and access to a beer equals five stars no matter how you slice it. Despite our group being anti-social and separating themselves from us at a different table, I had a great meal. I got a beer, a burger, and some fries when it was most needed. It makes me wonder why all fast food restaurants with heavy foot traffic don't take on this concept. The crowd was big, but the staff did a good job moving people along. There was plenty of seating and a functional bathroom. Pair that with the other needs that this BK filled, and you have a likely unmerited 5 stars. I had an experience in this establishment that I could not put into words. I was embarrassed and robed out of my money by a person that was called the district manager for Burger King. They gave me the wrong order, one of the sandwiches looked like a cross of a burger and a breakfast sandwich. When I asked for the order to be completed correctly I was told to leave or the cops will be called to arrest me. Did not gave me my order or my cash. If I'm in Miami, and I've been drinking (which is always the case) I usually somehow end up at the BK Whopper Bar. Why? Because I make terrible decisions in life. The bad part about this place- dealing with all the other drunks in line before you. Slows up the entire process. Also, this isn't the cleanest spot mainly because said drunks don't clean up after themselves. The cool part, if there is a "cool" aspect to Burger King is that they have a "bar" there and you can order beer. Nothing is more American and a Whopper and a beer. I've never had an issue with my food and from what I remember, my fries have always been hot. I've never noticed where they keep the ketchup though! You must have to ask them for that. Oh well, I'm sure we will be meeting again soon, BK and I will enjoy every heavily caloric bite. read more

When I was here three years ago, I was able to have a Coors Light with my Whopper meal. I was here again last week. This time, however, the only light beer they offered was Miller Lite. I'm usually not picky when it comes to the brand of light beer (as my aforementioned selection of Coors Light would suggest), but I don't like Miller Lite. So I had a bottle of Miller Draft instead. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich and fries. They were both salty and so went well with the brew. Location is convenient when needing food after going to the bars. Too many people in here are on drugs or are doing drugs and are just chilling in the restaurant which makes it quite uncomfortable. I do appreciate the staff for putting up with it and being quick to satisfy our hunger. Not a lot of seating available. Small BK but who wants to hang out in there anyway when the beach is a couple of blocks away. read more

This is just a regular Burger King, really, so ... why four stars? Well they serve ALCOHOL! I think it's really a novelty thing. While I realize Yelp is a great place to find the best meal you've ever had, I also feel that lesser thought of places need love (or vitriol) when it's due. I usually wouldn't review a fast food chain, but these people deserve alllll the stars. I was on vacation in Miami and had a late night food craving for something quick. Don't eat much fast hood, but I haven't been to BK in forever, plus what the hell is a Whopper Bar anyways? I was intrigued. The concept is like Taco Bell Cantina. Same stuff you'd get at any BK, but they have beer here. Bunch of options, Happy hour, you name it. This place being in South Beach with so many people and drunk people on top of that, you'd expect the place to be thrashed and it was clean as a whistle! Already exceeding expectations at this point. The cashier was friendly and though there were a ton of people, she mowed them down very quickly. I didn't even wait that long for my food, but when I got it?...... WOW. Burger and nuggets tasted like what you would expect, but this burger was a piece of art. You know how you usually get a burger and the bun has been smashed down, the toppings falling out, etc? This burger actually looked like it looks in the ads or on tv. I was absolutely blown away. The fries and nuggets were piping hot as well, clearly made a minute or two ago. While I was there, the place had closed, but there were still a couple people in line. Some drunk idiots came in and we're hurling insults at the cashier. The cop on duty removed them, but she took it in stride and didn't even pay them any attention. When I was finished eating I had to go to her and compliment her on her calmness and lack of retaliation, but also to share with her team how impressed I was with their service and execution. When you think south beach Burger King, I hate to see what that vision prob looks like. This place has a top notch team and shatters those negative connotations. Came here while in Miami Beach with my friend to grab a quick bite. The store was rather small and we left before we could place our order due to an irrational customer. The staff and manager handled the situation rather well, but l was just not in the mood for Burger King any more. One thing l must say is that you can order beer and wine here with your Whopper. I think that normally I would rate Burger King at 2 stars just because it's fast food and it's really not one of my favorites from that category . This particular location gets 3 stars due to the fact that they sell beer here . You can't really go wrong with a burger and a beer . No one at counter because everyone was either too busy doing whatever in the back or just hanging around with look of not my job to serve anyone. An order of large decaf coffee. Reply. Have none. Regular large coffee. Reply. You can only order small when server had many different sized containers right beside her head. So we left to get coffee elsewhere. Only explanation for terrible service was staff was being paid kickback by nearby restaurants to drive business to them. Normally I'm Team McD, but I don't think they have a Big Mac Bar anywhere. If it does exist, I certainly didn't find it in Miami. The menu is mostly Whoppers (as you'd expect). Regular ones. Fancy ones. And make-your-own ones. I opted for a regular one with cheese. At 3 AM there's nothing better. The following night I stopped by on my way to the bar and opted for some chicken nuggets. This is a pretty interesting place at night. Lots of drunks. Lots of conversations. This is where the Miami Subs used to be, a location with a bad rap that only continues to uphold the derelict reputation for the locale. This place has indoor & outdoor seating, which 9 out of 10 times a vagrant will be resting their feet. Inside at the counter you can see the 8 varieties of whopper served, along with a subway styled preparing station in the front. In the fast food industry it's usually best to not know who is putting your food together and also to see what the ingredients are individually. So that should be kept in the back. If you're wondering what a whopper taste like, go now to a BK and eat one. I choose the California Whopper, swiss cheese, bacon, & guacamole, and upgraded my soda into a Bud Light Lime for $2. I really did not find the consistency of the guack appetizing. As a whole I would skip the Whopper Bar experience. But I do love the King. read more

What's that leave? Burger King? Burger King, nay, the Whopper Bar. This is no ordinary Burger King. For one, they don't have the chicken and fish distractions. Whoppers only (and fries and alcohol). If you must go to Burger King, this is the one to go to. This seems like a Premium Burger King experience. Emphasis on both "Premium" and "Burger King experience." From the beginning it seems like the staff aren't your ordinary dime a day BK workers. They've either been trained special or hand picked and then trained special. The store is clean and doesn't smell which is more than I can say for the 41st street BK, for example. At the end of the day, what you're getting is a whopper. A whopper with any number of different toppings, either in pre-made topping combinations or ala carte. I chose the Angry Whopper, of course. So it's just a whopper, but the lettuce isn't wilted. The bun is fresh. The meat doesn't seem like it's been sitting around in the steamer for 20 minutes. It's the best whopper I've had in a long time. The fries are better than average, too. Everything is fresh and crispy. If this were a Burger King rating site, I might give this exceptional BK an easy 5 stars. As it stands, it's a reasonable choice for a fast whopper for 30% of the price of a much better meal at one of the gourmet burger places in town. For, after all, it's not a gourmet burger because of the toppings, it's a gourmet burger because of the meat... a fact that seems to have escaped BK as they conspicuously ride the boutique burger wave. read more

We walked in starving from a successful pool party and were stopped in our tracks. A Burger King for adults. No kiddie meals or sizes. Just whoppers and nothing but. They also serve beer here. My friends and the other canadians along with us stood there for awhile marveling at the concept. Now, there was nothing wrong with our food. Everything was made really well. The cashier however took forever ringing in our orders. I didn't realize fast food for this location meant taking everything at a snail's pace. Shout out to the man in front of me, getting upset at my friend for unknowingly budding in front of him. It's hilarious watching someone give you a mean glare with gel on their eyebrows. Nice building on the outside, but on the inside is disgusting. 30 minutes wait for some cold and old chicken nuggets and every table in the building was dirty. How do you continuously BURN the classic chicken sandwhich????? We waited 45 minutes in a line of four people to get out order taken as well as weight on our food . It came out extremely burnt and basically looked like a burnt piece of rubber . I had them make me a fresh one and its still burnt. WTF?!?! I waited 15 minutes for them to cook me a fresh classic chicken patty and as I mentioned it was still burnt . At that point I told them just to give me my money back and that took another 8 minutes. This is one hell of a Burger King! They serve alcohol and have a daily special of 2 for 1 beers for 5$- can't beat it especially for a cold bottle of Blue Moon. Also a nice location with sit down patio. This is legitimately the nicest Burger King I've been to in my life, please visit. read more
