I recently visited [Restaurant Name] and was excited to try their birria eggs Benedict--a creative twist on a classic dish. The birria beef did not disappoint; it was tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned, easily the highlight of the plate. The side of potatoes was also a standout--extra crispy just the way I asked, which I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the eggs Benedict itself fell a bit short. The eggs were overcooked, missing that perfect runny yolk that really ties the dish together. Additionally, there was very little hollandaise sauce, which left the dish feeling a bit dry and unbalanced.
To top it off, a basic cup of coffee cost $6--which felt excessive, especially given it wasn't anything special. When the bill came, it was hard not to feel like the meal didn't quite justify the cost.
Overall, there's definite potential here, especially with the quality of the birria and the attention to detail on the potatoes. I'd be willing to give it another shot, hoping for better execution next time on the eggs and sauce. read more
