Lime slice given with one order
    Tiffany O.

For being a small restaurant, this place is good for a quick bite without paying too much for food in Miami Beach. The quality isn't going to be amazing, but at least it's not extremely expensive. I got the 3 original tacos with one of each meat. The tacos were filled and big enough with the right amount of onions on top. The sauce they came with was extremely spicy, though. I usually like green salsa, but this one was spicier than I expected. I wish they came with more chips, but at least they came with any. One of the limes we got looked like it was already rotting, so that's where the quality is lacking.

I literally think about these at home. I come to Miami twice a year to do production on shows at the convention center.

This place is a Miami Beach staple. I work for an event company that produces two different shows in Miami, one in July and one in December. I have literally heard some of the crew members singing "Yo No Se MANANA" to each other, in reference to a song that plays inside Holy Guacamole's once in a while while we're there. The point being, that we like this cheap mexican food so much we've heard the playlist on repeat after coming there for lunch probably a dozen times, twice a year, for years. I suggest the crunchy beef tacos and guacamole with chips. Other reviews mention the service being bad or slow, but I have been there A LOT and I have not had those experiences.

Here's the thing, if you have chipotle demands and expectations, go to a chipotle. Do you want food that is f*cking delicious?? Do you like loud Hispanic music? When I'm eating some good ass hardshell chicken tacos with some beef nachos I sure do. Do you like Jarritos guava soda? Yes please. Service is quick and to the point. AnI appreciate that.

We were walking down the street looking for food and someone shouted, "I'm a local, this place is good" so we decided to check it out. We had the chicken and steak fajitas and both were tasty. This is a good spot for grab and go, so the seating area isn't great. Considering the prices are comparable to Chipotle, I'd choose this place every time.

This place has horrible service. The young girl cashier needs training. She overcharged me and wanted to charge even more for a drink. I bought the Pollo Bowl for $8.50 and made a combo for an additional $3.50 with guacamole and fountain drink. When I got my food there was no drink with it. I asked where my drink was and she said it be $3.00. I said I paid for the combo that comes with the drink. She then said that $3.00 soda is seperate charge cause they do not have fountain drinks. Then I asked why did she charge for combo knowing that they don't have fountain drinks. She should of charged only $2.00 instead of $3.50. The cashier said the Menu has not been updated. So I asked for a refund of $1.50 since I don't have a fountain drink. She again said menu was not updated. That did not resolve issue. Bait and Switch and it's finest. False advertisement. Now the food is not authentic. It tasted generic and the cooks couldn't tell the difference between Pork and Chicken. This place needs competent people to work there and they need to stop stealing from their customers. What Mexican place do you know that doesn't have Salsa?????? Beware of bad business. Do not go there.

0 stars for customer service, 3 stars for the food... and only because it was so cheap. The tacos are $2.50 even with guacamole included and I've paid for sides of guacamole more expensive than this. I came over for a quick lunch. When I showed up the cashier was having a few laughs with the cook so she seemed annoyed when I interrupted her social time. She looked kind of like this X-( I ordered the tacos in a rush because she seemed to be in a rush to get back to finish her story. It took a while for the cook to make my order because she was completely focused on the cashier's story. The cook then gave me my order and at least she was all smiles. The cashier's story must have been hilarious. I couldn't tell you what it was about though. Sorry. I asked for napkins because I searched through the entire restaurant and I couldn't find any. She pointed out to a hand towel dispenser a fixed to a pillar in the middle of the crowded space. These towels came in handy (pun not intended) later on. The tacos came served in one of those plastic, netted, burrito bowls. They were packed tight so it was impossible to grab one so I had to find a fork and dog to get one out. I failed miserably since the taco came apart (the tortilla is a very soft shell). Maybe try serving them on a plate instead? A funny looking pink slime had been poured on these tacos. I am currently praying to the gods (the new and the old) that this awkward, unnecessary, "chipotle" sauce doesn't send me to the porcelain throne.

Good quite bites of Mexican food like burritos, bowls, salads, and a range of different salsas! Very vibrant paint colors so I like the theme. I ordered a steak bowl, didn't come with too much steak. I usually don't mind paying extra for steak but don't be shy on the scoops! Food is ok, just thought it should have came with unlimited or complimentary chips like every other Mexican or Latin food spot here on the beach. I would recommend this as a quick grab and go if you're in a rush and don't want to wait in line at any of the other touristy spots in south beach. They also close at 10pm so not open late like traditional beach spots.

The food vegetarian dish here is very delicious, im deffinatley going to come here more frequently the mexican food is authentic and the food is very tastey for the price. the foods cheap good tasting and conviniently in the heart of south Beach: )

I've been coming to this restaurant for a while now! Always for the burrito, but today I tried the flautas and they are amazing!

My husband and I ordered two steak burritos with a side of chips with salsa and guacamole. We had our order delivered and I must say those burritos were exploding with flavor! Everything was delicious. The salsa and onion with pepper dips really gave it an extra something. I'm extremely placed by this place but the only reason it's not a 5 star is because our food was cold. It was very disappointing eating this amazing flavorful burritos... cold. The wait wasn't that long. Maybe less than 20 minutes and I was located right on south beach.

Showing we were supposed to get sour cream with the nachos as clearly stated on the menu

Great spot to have a quick, delicious meal. Super crispy tacos and casual, chill spot. Not skimpy on the fillings and just right.

Pretty average Mexican place on the beach. Cant say it was great or terrible. The salsa bar got it an extra star from me.

Each plate was $30 and supposed to come with beans and rice but only came with a sauce cup of rice. The blue corn tortillas were very good, as were my short rib tacos. The drinks were amazing, I was excited to try Illegal Mezcal, our server helped my mom find what she would like and gave overall excellent service. I then realized the restaurant is owned by "First Class Hospitality" a group with nearly two dozen locations/concepts around South Beach. Alongside a couple other corporate hospitality providers, they have the entire dining market cornered with the same specials, identical pricing, and same foodservice providers. I'm sure many tourists couldn't care any less about the food they eat having no real ties to the area, but I do. At the end of the meal we had a 20% service charge which our server said did not go to them as a gratuity, the server was unable to apply the "Happy Hour" discount claiming our drinks didn't count though there was no indication based on the "Buy 1 Get 1 Free Cocktails, Beers and Wines" and we ordered off the cocktail portion of the menu. We were told by the hostess that the two other Mexican places we considered down the street were the exact same kitchen and prices, just different buildings and names, even down to watching our food be carried up the sidewalk from another building. Between the corporate soullessness, shady Happy Hour practice, cookie cutter concept, a "service charge" which doesn't benefit staff, and the food poisoning I have attributed to it, by the end I just felt sour. I regret patronizing this place and wish I had been more judicious in my choice. If I have to spend $100 on a meal, I'd rather it stay local.

Taquiza is nothing short of spectacular when it comes to their authentic blue corn tortillas. Coming from a hospitality family, Tyrese who was on his first day of training made sure our table and every guest interaction with tables around were satisfied and full. Asking about recommendations, he was able to explain the flavor palates provided with tacos and drinks. Though $5 a piece for tacos, seems a little steep this is like a reasonable Miami price considering others are about $8 for one in other places. We tried the crispy fish, al pastor, carnitas and Arrecha tacos. They were spectacular, and the guacamole with totopos thick crispy but fluffy blue corn chips. We even ordered a dozen blue corn tortillas to take home for $9. I think this is amazing price considering their authenticity. We even had their horchata and I loved it bringing me back to my childhood days. Give Taquiza a try, though some reviews here are not 5 star satisfied, I promise you won't be disappointed trying this place out at least one it twice whether you're a tourist or a regular. From what I could tell, there was only one server handling everything, so she was clearly busy and service was a bit slow. Food wise, it was really good. The carne asada tacos were flavorful and well done, and the guac stood out too. Their chips are house made and thicker than usual, which is different but still good. Overall, I'd come back.
