I've been craving Five Guys for a few weeks now because I watch too many food bloggers on YouTube. Today was finally my chance to get it ans it was as amazing as I dreamed it would be. I typically would say that I love five guys, and overall the food is great. The reason behind my 1 star rating is for the service specifically at the Menifee location, and more so specifically with Ashley R. I walked into the establishment at 9:30pm and blatantly heard the representative say "great". When I went to order she did not greet me nor ask what I wanted to order instead just stared at me waiting for my order. She then proceeded to tear the receipt off and hand it to me without saying anything. I completely understand the feeling of wanting to go home but I don't believe it justifies the way that this employee acted, extremely rude to say the least. I do not get out to Five Guys Burgers and Fries as often as I like. This location is nearest to me, and I was able to get here while running errands during the afternoon. Five Guys Burgers And Fries is exactly that. Burgers and fries. No chicken or fish sandwiches, no nuggets, no salads. Just burgers and fries. And they do a good job of it. Five Guys cooks their hamburger patties to well done, and they have many toppings to choose from. I usually go with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. Burgers are cooked when ordered. So while you are waiting for your order to come up, you can snack on some roasted peanuts while you wait. I ordered a cheeseburger and a medium order of fries, and then took a seat at a table to wait for my order. My order was to go. So when my order was ready, I took my meal and left for the park nearby. The burger was cooked well and still hot. And delicious as well. And the medium order of fries was not only hot, but plentiful. I was full by the time I finished my meal. Five Guys is pricey, but worth it. And as I think about it, Five Guys is really not much more than other places. Another hamburger chain I recently visited cost almost as much, although I did get a drink and a ice cream cup with that meal. And though I took my meal to go, the dining area is always clean and neat. As well as the bathrooms. Even the appearance outside is kept up. I've never been asked if I wanted cajun fries before so I assumed they were the seasoned ones I usually get. They were horrible and I ended up having to buy another order of regular fries. I told the cashier this and she said sorry they dont take back food. Seems like bad customer service. I just spent $10 on fries and she even saw me throw the bad ones in the trash. The place looks average until you look at the over priced menu and wonder how a burger could cost that much. I thought bring it on, this must be a bomb burger. I pressed on and bought my $15 combo just because I am open to trying new burger places. After consuming my food, this is the verdict: the burger is good and the fries average. I was, um, coerced into going to Five Guys in Menifee the day they opened because I work nearby and a few people wanted to go opening day. I had a feeling I'd regret it. And I did. Opening day was INSANE, they were so busy, standing room only. One in our party had his order done wrong and returned it to get the right meal. By the time he received his meal, the rest of us were done eating. I'll cut them some slack for that because it was opening day; however, the food left a lot to be desired. I've eaten here; food is yummy. However I will NEVER step foot into this one again and I tell everyone I can about my experience. I had a very horrible situation with employees there. I went in to discuss the potential of a possible donation, anything from small to large, for the teachers at my school site in the location's neighborhood, for the day of the teacher celebration. Not only was I told by the "manager" that they won't even consider something like this because they will only "donate" where they'll get something in the form of profit such as fundraisers, but the letter I had written and was standing there, hand delivering, was twisted up and thrown away when I asked this "manager" to leave it for the owner to see just in case. Disrespectful and rude. I got lovely donations ranging from very small to large from many of the neighboring places like: Jersey Mike's, Krispy Kreme, Nekter, BJ's Brewery, Sonic, Buffalo Wild Wings, Massage Envy, Chipotle, Panda Express, and In N Out. Please, please, please if you want to eat a burger think twice about going somewhere and supporting a business that doesn't support teachers or even respectfully decline the opportunity. read more

It has newness going for it. And Five Guys is open in Brooklyn which is the newest center for all things hip and cool. The fries came cold and are bland. I'm not a big fan of peanut oil. Five Guys uses the Subway mentality , the more toppings, the better it is. When that newness fades it, for most people, will be back to In-n-Out and The Pitstop Pub for burgers and fries. read more

Everyone likes to compare burgers, it's just a thing. My hubby and I like to try new places all of the time and had heard mixed reviews about 5 Guys, so we HAD to try it. Now, you cannot compare this place to In-N-Out (come on, just can't), but I have to say that their burgers was very juicy and tasty and the fries were awesome! The venue was a little stark (too bright for my taste) and the set-up is a little strange to me, but the food was worth the trip. This place is o.k., not the best in my opinion. I believe it's highly priced. I ordered a burger with fries. The patty was crispy, over charred and both patty and bread were falling apart. The fries were soggy and drenched in oil. The bag the fries were in was also covered in oil at the bottom. The price I'm paying for my family and I, I wasn't expecting that quality of food. 4 of us came for lunch and our 1st Five Guys experience. Food was ok but we almost walked out because of the excessively loud music. I we finally tried this place to see what it was all about since we heard people talking about it. Fries too greasy. So greasy the grease soaked through the brown paper bag they pack your food in. Food was somewhat burnt. Prices way too high. It was around $3.50 for 1 small grilled cheese (smaller than your average size sandwich).....nothing else with it. The fries start around $2.50-$2.60 for a small. We ordered a small fry but some reason was charged and given a medium fry which was $3.59 (stupidly I did not notice until we had finished eating and left). By the time we finished ordering...3 grilled cheese and 1 veggie burger (cheapest burger on the menu....but no meat was included???) and 1 fry, our bill was OVER $18.....and that is with NO drinks. We could have gone to In and Out and got a lot more food and drinks for that price or a real restaurant. Wont be back. read more

The last two times we've ordered food from five guys menifee they got are order wrong. Onions on a burger that we specifically said no onions as were allergic. Old frys orders a large and the cub was half full..,called and they did nothing didn't remake the burger nothing. We're staying with in & out. read more

I would rate it lower if I could. Stopped in today. Said I was a first timer and asked about how to order. Found out later that I didn't get much useful information. Ordered a cheeseburger and it rang up at $7.99. I said really? wow, that's high. (No comment from cashier that it was a double.) Didn't realize until order came that it was two patties! If you want just one patty you must order a "little" burger. Kind of backwards if you aren't familiar with their system. All I could taste was the ground meat. On top of that the bun was soggy and fell apart after a couple of bites. A thoroughly awful experience for a way overpriced burger. I should have asked for a refund but just walked out. It is a bit pricier than most burger places but it is so good every time I'd rather pay a little extra for something I know is going to be good than a meal that is unremarkable. Big, super fresh burgers. Love the huge selection of freshly prepared toppings. The fries are not for everyone since they are fresh sliced and cooked in peanut oil which does not put a crunch on them. I personally like them as a change of pace even though I normally like very crispy fries. A bit pricey but worth it. read more
