The reviews had me uncertain whether i needed a sandwich today, but being out and about & hungry left me little options without resorting to deep fat fried. Greeted right away. The employees were helpful, patient while we decided and overall friendly. Menu has plenty of options - even for the picky eaters. We ordered the Thanksgiving turkey sub, a beef brisket cheddar sub, and turkey bacon ranch sub. All three were excellent. Size wise, the medium is a great portion for an adult. The Thanksgiving Turkey is a special promo sub and it was FANTASTIC. Cranberry sauce wasn't jelly like and it tasted fresh. The turkey itself wasn't deli turkey, but chunks of real turkey. I will be back for this before it's gone for the season. Bread was soft, and delicious. Not extra filler flavors...just delicious. Friday Night Eats!!! So I saw a commercial for Firehouse Subs Steak and Cheese sandwich on TV. We decide to check it out. We go to the restaurant just before 9pm. My family and I walk in and the place is empty. Worker looked busy taliking to what looked like his manager, so I ordered through the kiosk. During this time no one acknowledged us (greeted us). Possible manager said good bye to staff member walked by as she left and did not acknowledge us also. Not looking for much, but if your competition is Jersey Mikes, your lacking in the service department. Going back to the sandwich, it was pretty good! However, the meat to bread ratio was 30/70. Not sure if I will be back, Jersey Mikes seems to be a little more friendly and more enthusiastic for my business. Plus for $15 for regular sub. The price point is higher than Jersey Mikes. Just me spending ten minutes on a computer taking an order for myself....and I can't customize unless the computer says it's ok. Firehouse Sub offers a more interesting and somewhat tastier version of the Lunchtime staple. We ordered their New York Steamer and the Meatball. Both were very good, though I may never get use to having both Mayo and Italian Dressing put on my Pastrami!! LOL But to paraphrase Woody Allen from Annie Hall, at least it's not Mayo on sliced white bread. LOL. The service btw is over the top friendly. Four Stars. This is one of their smaller shops. my husband is trying to pick up an order we placed through grubhub. It's paid and was to be done 1/2 hour ago. The guy said they never got it and when asked for manager refused to call them. He didn't know the address there when shown the address and phone that was on the order and correct and the order had been paid in full. Now we have to try to get our $75.00 back and place order again in order to feed the family what they wanted. This was very stupid or should I say the employee was stupid and said he never filled and order from Grubhub before even though I have ordered there a couple times before. Not a very good experience at this location; the young lady's working here were not friendly to any of the customers. The sandwich was average at best. And when they packed my au jus in the bag, she put it in sideways, so the bag soaked through the bottom and made a mess in my car. read more

This place has great sandwiches. We tried the smokehouse brisket and cheddar and the Firehouse Meatball subs since they have a promo that day for it. I placed the order via that Firehouse app and it was ready when we arrived in the store. We ended up enjoying the food there while it was still warm. They checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay. My toddler loves the fire chief hat that they give out for kids. The food and service is always great here. First time here last week and I'll admit pleasantly surprised. Not sure why but I typically judge a sandwich shop by how good I think their Italian subs are. This one was pretty darn good and I like that everything tasted fresh and no particular item of overwhelmed another and it seemed to work well together. The customer service was very good as well form the manager greeting me to the staff being helpful with how the ordering works and what the options are. I took off one star for something that can be fixed and I did suggest it to the manager for training purposes. They asked me if I wanted to try their garlic butter on the sandwich and it was really good so I said yes. He however forgot to mention turn it was an extra charge of $1.50. I'm giving the location in menifee two stars due to the poor service and the corporate disregard for the customers. Instead of going into a long story, needless to say my large order was incorrect and the staff was complaining about how busy it was while making your sandwich and the store was dirty. After getting home with the sandwiches and finding that were made wrong, we contacted the store and no one would answer the phone. I went online and sent a complaint to the corporate office. I received a call back a few days later but I was at work and could not answer so they left a message. But no call back number. Only an apology for the bad service. Needless to say we will not be visiting a firehouse subs again. After spending over $50 for sandwiches that most of us could not eat is ridiculous. I have been looking forward to going to Firehouse for a long time. So we decided to try it out today, and man I wish I went somewhere else. When we first walked in, there were 4 people behind the counter and one behind the register, they all looked pretty busy. We stood there with no one in line ahead of us for 5 minutes before someone said "hello" to finally take out order. The guy who took our order, read off what came on my sandwich so fast, that I had to ask him multiple times what comes on it. After placing our order, we sat down and waited for our food, and waited, and waited. It took 25 -30 minutes for us to get our 2 sandwiches. The couple that ordered after us, got their food 15 before us!!?? Our food finally comes, and because the guy taking my order read off what was on it so fast, I never heard him say mayonnaise on the sandwich. So when I got my "Italian" it was smothered in Mayo. So much that I couldn't even taste the meat on the sandwich. It was horrible. My wife said her sandwich was good, but That doesn't make up for the terrible service. As much as I was looking forward to going there, I can't honestly say if I'll be willing to give them another shot.
