This is a little hard for me to do, as I've been a happy, card-carrying member of the In-n-Out cult for some time now. What I'm about to say may cause me to lose friends, get bitten by my dog and make my wife think about seeing other guys, but the truth must out. Alas, here it is: In my humble opinion, FIVE GUYS IS BETTER THAN IN-N-OUT BURGER. There. I said it. Here are my reasons: 1. Burgers. The burgers are, first, bloody huge. But that's only a good thing because they're also really tasty. They're made to order and served up hot with whatever toppings you care for (I just did cheese with lettuce, tomato, pickles, sauteed mushrooms, fresh jalapenos). You might have to unhinge your jaw to get those first few bites in, but it's worth it. 2. Fries. To be honest, I've been waffling about the fries. Tonight, though, I finally came down on 5G's side: I love 'em. They're quite a bit larger than typical fast food fries, which means that you can actually taste that they're made from (you'll never guess...) potatoes. Now, I'm the first one to admit that even fried gravel would have to be pretty good, but it is, ultimately, a nice thing to taste something other than 'fried' when eating fries. You can't talk about 5G's fries without mentioning a weird thing that they do. At first I thought it was a mistake, but it looks like they consistently give you at least twice as many fries as will fit in the styrofoam cup that they are nominally served in. So, you get your bag of food and the burgers are actually buried in a lovely, hot pile of loose fries in the bag. When my daughter and just ate there, we thought we'd split a large fry. The pimply-faced kid at the register sized us up and indicated that the large 'serves 4 or 5 people.' So we split a small and still could hardly finish them. Plus! Tonight I finally noticed the bottles of malt vinegar available for use in the dining room. I love me some malt vinegar on my mountain of fries! 3. Things other than burgers and fries. My kid, for reasons unclear, doesn't like burgers. So, tonight she ordered a bacon and cheese hot dog, which she also loved. Luckily, she got filled-up on all of those fries and wasn't able to finish her dog. Not wanting to waste food, I finished the last few bites and agree that that was one hell of a hot dog. So, I've converted. I'll still go to In-n-Out when I'm in California for business, but if I've got a choice between the two, I'd pick Five Guys.

Late, so, a bit empty.

Well... THAT was disappointing. I don't know what happened to this place, it used to be a 4 even 5 star place in my book, but they're getting sloppy. First, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no bun and extra cheese and extra bacon (both of which are considered toppings and included at no extra cost- one of things I liked about this place). They charged me for the extra bacon and extra cheese. I had to get a manager to reverse the charges. Then, I bring my hard won burger home and, a little cheese, it looked, maybe, one slice of thin cheese, it barely covered the burger, and almost no bacon, maybe 1/4 of one small slice. For almost $9, I expect one serious burger. Especially if that's all I'm ordering (no drink, no fries, not even a glass of water). $9 for a bacon cheeseburger that turned out to be 2 quarter pound patties, a little cheese and almost no bacon= pitiful. I'm sad. This used to be my go to place for the all American standby: a burger. No more.

I enjoy these burgers. Service is always pleasant. It does take a while for them to cook the burgers and they are expensive. But I love them

Raw fries, Raw fries, Raw fries! Every time. Even when we put in a request to cook them extra they came to us raw!

Good burgers, great French fries, and they make old fashion malts. Plenty of peanuts to snack on while your waiting for your order.

The Roost - Thai pork tacos

I was a little irritated, as it was slightly breezy, but I got over that quick once I tried the food. We had the steak frites, the Thai pork tacos, an old fashioned, and the chocolate decadence for dessert. The steak frites were great- the truffle fries were seasoned with garlic, and served with a great cream sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked rare. Super tender. But the tacos absolutely stole the show. Sweet and spicy with a touch of crunch, and the potato fries were stellar too! The old fashioned really let the whiskey shine, with just a touch of citrus. I think I would try a different dessert though- the decadence was good but didn't quite live up to the tacos. The interior was decorated very cute- mid century modern mixed with plants and some neon signs that said cute things. Our server was excellent- very friendly and on top of it. Overall, I would unquestionably come back next time I am in the area, and suggest you go there too. It's totally worth it.

I'm sure one of the crackheads walking and down main street would have given me better service. And 4 bucks to upgrade to fries!?!? What is going on at this place? Highly recommend do not come here. It's a rip off. Service is awful. Terrible attitude. No service, no tip.

Imagine my surprise when something hitherto unknown to me popped up, Collision Brewing Company. Wow, gotta go. Great place with unique offerings, I particularly liked the "Oil Skick", a black IPA. Photo attached. But I was impressed by the great service at the bar, and the menu. I'll be uploading some menu pictures in a bit, but what really caught my eye were the pierogis! I regret being in a hurry, as I would have loved to have tried. Next time, and ther will be a Next time.

Collision's offerings looked promising. Dining near the bar was full, so we got a whole room with windows aplenty to ourselves. Our waiter modeled good service. He greeted us quickly, brought waters before I could pick a beer, and quickly returned with my suds and took our order. We strolled down a hallway to the restrooms, passing games in the cool blue light. The bathroom was clean. Urinals are half kegs. I cracked up, then explained them to him. The expansive menu looks surprisingly diverse. I could have had pierogies, birria tacos, chicken fettuccine, PB & J, or one of the selections of burgers and sandwiches. I chose the French Dip on Asiago bread with a cup of green Chile. I could only eat half a sandwich, but knew leftovers would be gone by morning. This was one of the better French Dips I have had in a while. Green Chile? I came here from New Mexico and am not often impressed. This stuff was truly hot and had great flavor. Win win. The kids' steak plate has to be one of the best values I have seen eating out in Colorado. $10.95 w side. It stood out and did not disappoint. One of them was more well-done than medium rare, but stayed tender. Great seasoning. Beer: I l checked ratings, finding their highest-rated brew, GTA, a barrel-aged rye stout that definitely exceeded expectations. I agree with the high ratings. Shout out to our server for letting an adult who wasn't very hungry grab a kids' steak. Shout out to the prices, which would provide value even with lesser food. My sandwich came at a 2019-20 Denver price, at least $5 less than equally good comps in 2025. 4.5 stars round up to five. Recommended.

They gave me an email address to which I sent more particulars, and guess what? No one responded. So apparently they think it's ok to keep allowing their cooks to not cover their heads or wear gloves while scratching their scalps and then preparing food. That's what we saw while dealing with their front clerk. So like others have said here, she isn't pleasant. We ordered our to-go burgers medium with a little pink. She said no one orders burgers that way. And wasn't pleasant about it. Hello! We have ordered burgers that way forever. My husband's came out right, mine was well done. Tasty, but I kept wondering what viruses I might be getting from whatever was on the cook's head. The Brussels sprouts were dripping with excess grease. I lived, but with no real response from the owners, I won't be back.

I've ordered this countless times with no issue. The lady at the register kept asking if I wanted a single or double chicken. I said, I only want one breaded/crispy chicken. She got kind of rude and kept repeating "single or double". I continued to say just a single. Even held up a finger. I wasn't sure what to do with the interaction. I also specifically said "I don't want grilled" and "thats crispy right"? You never guess what I got... a grilled chicken sandy. Not a big deal.... I'll just go back in and ask them to correct it. Wrong, she argued with me. She started talking over me and was completely rude. Evidently she doesn't know what the word breaded means and tried to correct me on what I need to order. Super rude interaction. Customer service = terrible Food = pretty tasty, great job cooks.
