When I first moved to Lee's Summit there used to be buzz around town to go to give guys since I've never eaten there or heard of them and burgers are my thing!!!!!! I tried these guys in 2 separate occasions just to make sure my feelings about them were right!!! And sadly it was....... Five guys isn't anything special. Bland burgers and under cooked fries Everytime!!! They specialize in burgers and fries and they couldn't even do the fries right... Now and f you like the good ol classic grease and burgers then this is the place... But make you bring your seasonings... Placed order online for 6:15 pm pick up. Three cheeseburgers, hot dog and two large fries. Nothing complicated, it's Five Guys. Arrived and waited 50 minutes for our order. Then got home and it was wrong. They clearly were serving in person orders and Door Dash ahead of the que for online orders using their system! Won't order online ever again. Trash. They allow you to order on Postmates, take your money, but then don't allow the Postmates driver to pick up because they don't use Postmates anymore. Oh, and aside from them still being on Postmates, they won't refund you either. Already contacted my lawyer and this place will be shut down ASAP. read more

Their regular burgers are doubles, their smalls are singles. The patty appeared to be quarter pound in weight (maybe a little smaller). So these are good size burgers, but they should be for the price. I felt they were a little over priced. I paid just under $8 for their regular sized cheese burger (i.e. double) and fry (no drink, just water). The fries were excellent and plenty of them. They offered a cajun fry which sounded good, but I just got the regular kind. I felt they were a little slow for such a limited menu. I mean, come on, I'm going to order a burger, why isn't it about ready? Does Chipolte wait for you to order a buritto before they start cooking the meat? Would I go back? Definately, if someone else is paying or if I could find a coupon. read more

The most consistant of the local Five Guys restaurants in my experience. The beef, bun and large selection of toppings have always been very fresh. A large order of fries will likely feed an entire table of four. Very rarely have I had to wait long for my order, snacking on the free peanuts in the meantime. Burgers and fries are a great value for the portion and quality you receive. They don't gouge on drinks like many similar restaurants tend to do. read more

My favorite burger joint in Lees Summit. Love the free peanuts. Fries are big enough for two and the large can be split by 3. A regular burger is two patties so get the little burger if your not that hungry. Classic burger joint decor, but with a touch from their home. Price not great, but that includes any condiments like grilled onions and mushrooms. Cheese and bacon are extra. Occasionally got one that was a little dry probably because they aren't the thickest patties. read more

Horrible service. Called in an order for pick-up. Got there and lady yelled, "Pick-up for Bob?" She indicated the burger was ready and it would be 2 mins for fries. Okay, so I went to pay for the order. Woman ahead of me placed and order. Her order was completed before mine called-in order. She was not pleased with her overcooked fries. They offered to re-make her fries. I was still waiting and saw that a new batch of fries was up, so I asked about my order that was called-in. He said, "what are you waiting for?" I don't know, called in an order for Bob. The burger was sitting over to the side for 5 mins waiting on fries and he threw the fries into the back there were the overcooked fries and tossed the bag from 8 feet away onto the counter. Now my guest has overcooked fries and a cold burger; AND the fries were so greasy that the bag was soaked with oil! It was not busy, only the one lady in front of my order, and they could care less about customer service. Will never do business with them again! read more

Food is good, but the heart of this review is atmosphere and attitude towards customers. Five guys is a burger place that has a policy of greeting people and calling out how many patties of meat are needed as well as calling out your order number. Every other time I have been here this is how it is prior to getting an exceptional bunch of fries and a stacked burger. The catch is you had a group of employees playing the I can't hear you game and screaming rather than just calling it out and inevitably when one called it out another would respond with "What?" Or "I can't hear you!". Look I get it young kids having fun BUT wheny wife and I can't order over their noise and it is enough I let them know about my PTSD from my service days and ask them to let me know if they are going to continue as I will simply leave, to which I get a blank stare. And after paying more screaming I do not care for how they take care of the customer. I guarantee had I tried to actually eat instead of just getting my wife food I would have had an issue which never seems to work out for anyone. Great burger joint, and I recommend to anyone that enjoys a great tasting all American burger. However, the fries are soggy and I can understand that some people like that and some don't. Amazing burgers, positive atmosphere and very happy chipper workers. If you are expecting to get burger, fries, and a drink its going to be around 10 dollars a person but just the burgers are not that bad. Worst service I have ever had at a 5 Guys. None of the workers acted like they wanted to be there. My burger was under cooked. My fries were very undercooked and soggy. I'm really upset that I paid 12 bucks for a meal I could have gotten better if I had just gone to a McDonald's. read more

We had a carryout order for our office lunch and ordered one of the burgers with no cheese and wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun because we have a lady that is extremely allergic. When we got back and discovered it had cheese (it cannot just be scraped off with a severe allergy) we called and spoke to Roberto the GM. He said that he would not re-make the burger and that we had wasted his time and $40 (the order total). I tried to explain it was just the one burger that we needed, but he refused. This is ridiculous behavior from a general manager and very poor customer service. read more

This place is SOOOOO over-rated! $10 is too much for a burger,fries and a drink...they are good...but c'mon...that's ridiculous. And, on top of that...the music is good but way too loud. I asked the manager to turn it down and he said he would but that corporate makes them have it loud and when we leave we should tell him so he can turn it back up. Later, another employee told me that customers complain about it all the time. You can't even hold a conversation, the music is so noisy. Take your hard earned $10 and go someplace else! read more

Um, YUMMY! My husband surprised me and took me here because he knows how much I love a burger and fries, and this was one place we hadn't tried in KC. I was impressed! Just the basics; burgers and fries and hotdogs for kids...but all three were great. The fries are hand-cut on site, and they even have a board stating where the potatoes were from that day (ours happened to be Idaho...) The one mistake I made was ordering the regular burger; not that I didn't eat every bite of it, but the junior burger is definately big enough for a normal person. Unless you're pregnant and love big juicy burgers then you can chomp the whole regular down just like your husband! The fries are tasty, and the portions are huge. They also give you peanuts to eat while you're counting down the minutes until you can sink your teeth into your burger (which, by the way, can be topped with the tons of toppings they offer.) I heard they opened one up in Olathe so we'll be checking that one out soon. And if you have room for dessert...wow, I really did....there's a Sheridan's in the same parking lot! read more

This Five Guys is better than all others I have been to. It is in my hometown and the people working there are so friendly. They really make it fun to go there. The burgers are made any way you want using ingredients on their menu. I love this place and I love their fries. read more

Have only been to the Five Guys in Lees Summit once before and it was very good. Decided to eat there again last night. While looking at the menu the employee reminded us of the burger sizes and that all sides were a la carte. We both ordered a burger and decided to split an order of fries. I ordered a large order of fries for (2) to split. Did not remember that a large order would feed a family of 5, and the employee didn't mention it to us. Long story short, the burgers had no taste ( the bacon tasted like a stick of old grease ), and the fries were awful... Soggy and also no flavor , other than stale peanut oil. Really disappointed especially for the cost. The bright spot of the place was the soda machine. Probably won't go back. On a positive note the employees were friendly. read more
