Love Zaxbys, my usual location is at the Legends in Kansas but recently tried this location and was a little disappointed. The quality of service was amazing, both interactions with employees were friendly and fast! However, this locations food quality could have used some more attention. Our cheese curds we received were cold, our order had been slightly messed up based off of modifications we made to our meals. I completely understand one mistake is not an end all! Along with Zaxby's; I have a KFC, Church's, and Popeyes all within a mile of my house, and I have found myself gravitating towards Zaxby's more than the other corporate chicken chains lately. Call me weak, but I really prefer boneless chicken nuggets / strips more than bone in chicken. I think the bones just remind me that I'm eating a dead animal and that always leads to dread and guilt and questioning my own moral choices - who needs that when your just trying to satisfy the tummy with some succulent sauce coated and breaded protein. A 10 piece of teriyaki nuggets with a cup of the signature sauce for dipping - a spicy 1000 Islandish - with some perfectly crispy crinkle cut fries and a piece of Texas toast is a great little fast food meal. My other go-to when I'm feeling I want something a wee-bit more healthy is their Cobb Salad with fried chicken. Delish. The place is always clean and the layout looks more like a family style restaurant that a typical fast-food joint. The staff always seem to be friendly and engaging, and that's rare, so kudos to management for hiring or retaining above average staff. My only complaint is the music - the last two times I've dined in, really bad music has been very audible - Contemporary Country and Contemporary Christian. I can tolerate the country since I understand that it's popular (sad but true), but don't subject us paying customers to Jesus music when we are here to eat, not attend a worship service. When I need a good chicken salad, I go to Zaxby's. Unfortunately a few of the locations have closed, but at least this location is on my way to one of my destinations. I usually get the Cobb salad with fried chicken. The fresh ingredients including egg, bacon, crispy onion straws, lettuce mix, and tomatoes make for a good combination. If you like chicken fingers/tenders and wings, Zaxby's is your place. I've been cautiously watching and waiting to try this place. Our market had several competing fast-chicken options pop up in the past few months. After some feedback from friends and family, I gave it a try. This restaurant is located just north of NE Vivion Road along N Antioch Road in the Antioch Crossing. There is ample parking near the building. This business has a drive thru lane. To begin, the country-decor is modern and more elegant than most fast-food places. The team member immediately greeted us as we walked through the door. A sizable area in front of the order counter allows for patrons to review the entire menu and wait their turn to order. They offer salads with chicken, chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, chicken wings, appetizers, desserts and kids menu. We ordered two 4 chicken finger plates. Each plate comes with fries, Texas toast and coleslaw. One order was tossed in tongue torch sauce with a side of ranch. The other was plain with a side of honey mustard. We were incredibly surprised that the order was ready by the time we had filled our drinks and picked a table. The chicken and fries were piping-hot! The chicken was juicy and tender. The breading wasn't too think or too crispy. Very filling. The crinkle cut fries were thick cut and as large as my fingers. Fried to perfection; not soggy or limp, nor hard or burnt. They could use salt or seasoning though. The sauces are good. The tongue torch was more sweet than expected. The sauce are issued in individually wrapped containers. The dishes come with a large piece of Texas toast. To be honest after chicken, fries and coleslaw, there wasn't room for toast. The coleslaw was a traditional mix similar to another fast-food chicken chain. This was a comfort. This chain has friendly employees who regularly circulate the dining space. The tables, drink station are well-maintained and surfaces are clean. This chain serves Coke beverages as well as unsweetened and sweet teas. I am concerned about the amount of packaging this brand uses. The weight of the food nearly broke the styrofoam plate when it was delivered to our table. Silverware is individually wrapped in plastic. The pre-portioned coleslaw was in a plastic and styrofoam container. Perhaps reusable forks, and a lid-free dish for the slaw would be a few good steps towards a greener option. Great first visit to this restaurant. I would highly recommend this for my future chicken tender cravings. read more

The friendly service at the counter and the delivery of food to the table makes Zaxby's by far the best chicken restaurant around. Today we had the Big Zax Snak. Zaxby's just opened up this location earlier this week. I love wings so I wanted to give it a try. This place was hopping at 6pm when we went. I was expecting a much bigger dining area and had to wait about 10 min before a booth opened up. The drive thru also had a long line. A lot of people want to try the new location and I imagine it will settle down with time. The food took about 20 minutes to get to our table, probably since it was so busy. Their style is very similar to Raising Canes. Even the combos look similar (texas toast, crinkle cut fries, and special Zaxby's sauce). They do have salads, sandwiches and some other unique things that I didn't try. I got the Wings & Things Meal (5 wings + 3 fingers). The wings were pretty standard but I appreciate that they had a good amount of sauce. The fingers are pretty salty, but good overall. I think Canes is slightly better in the chicken finger department, but Zaxby's does offer more options. read more

A decent meal but a few small complaints. I ordered the new Caribbean jerk sandwich. The flavor of the sandwich was good I wish there was more Caribbean jerk sauce on the sandwich though. I did not have high expectations going into Zaxby's. I expected the same taste and experience as that of Raising Canes and Slim Chickens. I believe Zaxby's in taste and customer service beats these two. The two times that I have visited this particular location was quite good. Service at the counter where you order your food was friendly and efficient. I like that they bring the food to your table if you are dining in as well. The staff even ask if I needed anything else. This level of customer service for what I consider a fast food joint is great and it matches the customer service of a Culver's restaurant. The restaurant is also clean with tables wiped down and trash bins not overflowing. The bathrooms were also quite clean during my visit which was within the first two months of opening. The food was pleasantly surprising. The menu has a good amount of choices from chicken fingers (dry or sauced), wings (dry or sauced), sandwiches (only chicken varieties of course), and salads (which they humorously call Zalads). I found the chicken fingers to be great! The breading is seasoned very well and there is a good amount of chicken meat to their chicken fingers; you're not just eating breading. The Zalads are generous in portion and you even have a choice of getting grilled or blackened chicken. I tried their Blue Zalad and it has a good amount of lettice, tomatoes, cabbage, blue cheese crumbles. What made the salad great was their fried onions! This location also has the soda machine with every selection you can make up, so there is an added entertainment value. Came at 7pm on Wednesday, line was pretty long inside and at the drive through. Inside is pretty clean, and the decor is nice and relaxed. Service is pretty slow, and the menu needs clarification - there's no description of the sides that come with the meal. We ordered the wings and things meal and the chicken fingers combo. Chicken fingers were very good - pretty moist with the exception of a few parts on a few fingers. Breading had some crunch, but was light enough to not overwhelm the chicken and sauce. Wings were decent, but not done as well as the fingers in terms of juiciness. Compared to a chicken tender, a wing also seemed like less meat, but the benefit is getting to choose a different sauce for your wings to be tossed in. Wings and things comes with dipping sauce for the tenders (zax) and celery sticks(ranch), however you can swap them if you want. The fries can also be substituted for onion rings at extra charge - i would say the the extra cost (30 cents) is worth it. The chicken tender meal comes with 2 sauces (zax), even if you get 6 tenders. This ratio of sauce to tenders is much lower than in the wings and things meal. It also comes with Cole slaw and fries, both can be swapped to another side. As far as service goes, it was clear our cashier was new, but that is to be expected since it looks like this location just opened. Overall a good experience and the employees are very nice. Would recommend if you are looking for a goto chicken place. read more

I went into this place with low expectations. And I have to say i was satisfied but I think I prefer Raising Cane's over this place which is also slightly more cheaper than Zaxby's. However this place has far more options and far more sauces which I didn't try. I would come back to try those sauces but they cost extra which discouraged me. I believe Cane's sauce is better than this place's signature sauce. I'd say the chicken fingers were equal in quality. Texas toast slightly better as well as the coleslaw. Fries I think were pretty plain. I think the prices are slightly too high for what you get but I think this is a decent place to get lunch. read more

I was really hopeful when I found out this Zaxby's was opening so close to me. I think it has a lot of potential, but was not at all prepared for the popularity they have experienced. I have been here 3-4 times since they opened and every time it has been in total disarray. Employee's arguing behind the counter, customers complaining because they went through the drive through and their order was wrong or they have been waiting forever for their food inside, and just a lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. I am hopeful that they will eventually get it together, and I will update my review at that time, but as for now I would expect a rather stressful dinning experience at this location. read more
