Five Guys is one of the best burger chains in my opinion. Of all the locations we've been to, we've never really experienced any consistency issues. Hubby and I have been to this River City location a few times, every time has been great. I usually order a little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, relish, onions and grilled onions. Wow finally a Five Guys that is reasonable, only three time zones away from where I live. In California these guys are like fifteen bucks a burger. Going to have to downgrade my original review. Burgers and fries are still awesome and arguably the most important part. However, service has been bad the last couple of visits and the last two to-go orders even after requests and typed into the instructions we didnt get our peanuts. That is one of their signature traits and they act like it's not something they want to do at this location anymore. My wife, with disability, had to go inside even after calling from the curbside pickup area as you are supposed to because they lost or forgot about the order. My niece and I stopped in the Five Guys location near the airport on our way out of town to Savannah. This was my first time at this location. Our cashier was very pleasant. He made me laugh a few times while he took my order. He thanked me for choosing Five Guys. He really made me feel welcomed and appreciated. My burger was awesome! As were the cajun fries. The burger was high quality and the ingredients were fresh. Warning, the burgers here are very messy. But so worth the mess! The hand cut Cajun fries were also a highlight. I was in fast food as a manager. I know it's rough and food costs are always in the front of mind. However, my last three visits were... Typically, it takes between 8-10 mins for them to deliver a burger. Samantha and others there have figured out a way to cut that time in half. ANY manager, whose job it is to know how long it takes their servings to cook, would know what she simply gave me someone else's burger, i.e. "Old and Used Food". \ So, this time, the fourth time in the last three months, I requested that I receive my food fresh from the manager. Instead, she gave me a song and dance about how that's completely impossible and how I was "WRONG"! She said to me, "Why didn't call and tell someone." I didn't have the heart the tell this possibly slow personality that SHE was the person who committed the act twice and did call once and alerted her to the third person who was decent enough to at least give me a drink. I warned her that OSHA and Florida Regs would be contacted. I'm placing this here as a reference point for them. Finally, she said the words that no one who has received a management promotion has said, "Maybe you shouldn't eat here." This translates to "I'm going to continue to serve customers OLD FOOD". Keep in mind, I went there to tell the manager, hope to heavens she's not the general manager, at $12.87 a pop I want my food to be fresh. Also, mind you, before her, I never had these problems. So, after that, I told her to F herself and grabbed my money and ate somewhere else. It's a mall. There's many other places to eat that hopefully sell fresh food. Apparently, once again, "We the people," the customers, are overpaying the so called: "employees" for less than adequate service, quality, attitude and professionalism. We went for a very, very, very expensive burger this past weekend and were shocked to find this restaurant looking like a "third world" homeless shelter. The floors need to be swept at all times when food is under the table or soda machines, chairs etc. All chairs and tables must be cleaned and immediately after a diner leaves the restaurant, not at the end of the closing business day. The trash cans inside and out on the patio must be monitored and emptied, each hour if necessary. The glass doors and windows not to mention the counters, product machines, supply area need to be cleaned and monitored each hour, the bathrooms must also be monitored and checked for cleanliness and supplies each hour. The iced tea station was horrible, the unsweetened tea canister was apparently broken with no unsweetened iced tea. The employees need to focus on the business and their professionalism rather than dancing and singing while customers are waiting on food. And no, expressing that one is bored with nothing to do as we heard is unacceptable. The team member with the ponytail should also be working every minute instead of ripping up pieces of paper, rolling them in little balls and tossing them across the back of the food area for an hour or more while food is being cooked and prepared and other team members are working. It is apparent that this employee does not respect their job nor their company and could care less about working there, it is purely a waste of time for them. They also failed proper customer service technique. This establishment needs a "real" successful, proven, experienced, company dedicated manager and quick. We will not return. Not sure why the doors of this business are open, they have failed at all levels of food service, professionalism, and company commitment. No employee there deserves more than $3.00 an hour, they do not care about this business and are merely collecting an unjustified paycheck. And the use of aluminum foil is out, time to put the health and safety of your customers first! Stay away from this failed Five Guys establishment. read more

Love me some Five Guys and this location is great! I have noticed this particular location does stay considerably busier than other locations I have visited, but maybe that's just because it is so darn good and the customer service is great. I always get the little bacon cheeseburger and it is HUGE. It's always cooked to perfection and it's positively scrumptious in all its greasy goodness! Love their fries too. Hubby and I always order a regular and like all Five Guys locations, they fill the regular size cup with fries, place it in the bag, and then scoop even more fries into the bag. So.many.fries! If there are that many in a regular, I can't even imagine how many fries you get if ordering a large! Burgers are cooked to order, so expect a bit of a wait. I don't mind this because it's nice to know my burger has been cooked fresh just for me. While you wait, they have free peanuts available for you to nom on. They have Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. While I'm not a huge fan of Coke products (I'm a Pepsi girl), I do have to say I like the Freestyle machines. Vanilla cokes are pretty good. This location is at River City Marketplace, so parking can be a pain. They also have very nice outdoor seating. It's a good option for when the weather is nice. Great. Now I'm craving Five Guys. I ordered my normal little cheeseburger all the way with extra ketchup and it was quite enjoyable. My boyfriend however, had the cheeseburger with two patties all the way with barbecue sauce. I've heard of Five Guys while I was in San Francisco from a friend. She said it was comparable to In-n-Out. Now I see why.. The burgers are good, actually really good. Especially for the price. It's like the meat to lettuce ratio switched when compared to an In-n-Out burger. The burgers taste fresh and the meat was very juicy :) Now I'm from San Diego and it's probably blasphemous for me to say this, but think the Five Guys burger is an equal and worthy competitor to the In-n-Out burger and I would gladly alternate between the two of them to get the best of both worlds. Now the rest I gave them a 3 is because of their fries. They're too thick and a little too oily. When they were cold, I couldn't even force myself to eat them.
