I've started working downtown & am spending a lot of time there. Lunch has been both good & bad so far. A co-worker and I went to Five Guys on Thursday and I don't think we'll be going back. The help looked dirty and couldn't have been more disinterested in their work. The restaurant itself was dirty, with homeless all throughout the seating areas. The french fires we ordered were actually good (that got the 2nd star) but the sandwiches were both poor. There's so many choices downtown and it'll take a while to try them all. We've likely been to Five Guys for the last time. read more

A good burger and fries to have not matter where you are at. Spend just a little more time than fast food to get a better quality sandwich. The cost is of course more expensive which is the only down side but quality does cost more. Make sure to order a small or medium fry unless you are trying to feed a family. read more

Hit or miss depending on who's working. I've had great, quick meals at this location but I've also had painfully slow, lame meals here. Most recent occasion took 35 minutes to get 4 burgers and we were the only people in line. Very light on the fries as well. Hopefully will be better next time. UPDATE: changing to 2 stars instead of 3. Literally every order was incorrect...4 out of 4 wrong. Two were cheeseburgers when no one asked for cheese. One had no toppings when he asked for several toppings. One burger even had two bottom pieces of bread and no top bun. It's actually impressive how poorly done this entire experience was. I'm a diehard Five Guys fan, so it crushes me to have to deduct a star. I was quite hungover yesterday, and was craving a nice greasy burger and fries, so I thought, hey, why not finally get to the new(ish) Five Guys? So, I ordered my cheeseburger with my choice fixins (lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, ketchup). Don't forget, for the uninitiated, the regular burger is two patties! I got my cup o' fries, and raced home to ravage my food from the safety of my couch. Solid service, nice folks behind the counter as well. Food review: -Burger: DELISH! Messy and greasy, just as I wanted. Ugh, I dream of these burgers... -Fries: Disappointing :( Granted, bad Five Guys fries are still better than most others, but I'm used to piping hot, salty, greasy fries fresh out the fryer, and these just didn't hit that note. They must have been the end of the last batch, but I found them not too hot, slightly undersalted, and they had slightly dried up. I'll definitely be back because a) their burgers are the world's greatest hangover cure, and b) because I want to give the fries another chance, as I'm hopeful that it was just an unlucky one-off experience. read more

So this Five Guys is a little new and that's okay... First off, the service was great! The cashier was very friendly and smiled throughout. When food is being served it can get a little loud but that didn't bother me. My order was correct but the food was a little less impressive than I expected. The first were soft and the burger was kinda slapped together. I also didn't like that they had voter registration people there. It was kinda intrusive even tho they were freelance... However this was a decent experience with some room for improvement that didn't really bother me in a negative way. I give it three stars with hopes that they continue to get better!!! read more

We just left buffalo wings after waiting for over 2hrs. First we waited an hour for 75% of our group to show up before they gave us a table and then 1hr 30mins where noone served us. I'm a bus operator for a major transportation company in Indianapolis, Indiana. I frequent the establishment on the corner of Washington and Pennsylvania. Today I was trying to use the restroom and I was rejected because of a larger group of student were visiting and I was told I had to get in line, which was long. I explained to the manager on duty that I just wanted to use the restroom and leave and he stated, "get in line if you want to use it". I thought that was careless and cold hearted. I will never spend my time nor money patronizing this establishment again. I will also recommend not patronizing this establishment if you're going to be treated in that manner. read more

Went here the other night for the first time. Not sure if it's just the aesthetic or the night but they had boxes of supplies around the dining room. We had to wait about 10 minutes for food even though we were the only ones waiting for food. While waiting for the food an employee came out to the condiments counter and took ketchup cups that had fallen out of the dispenser and pushed them back in. Not the best to see because all the cups then touched the counter and were put back in like they were clean. Fries were also flavorless and burnt, I didn't end up eating them. read more

A friend and I stopped in to grab something to eat before a concert. Really like five guys the food has always been good. Everything was fresh and tasted great. They were busy but they were doing a great job. As my friend and I were eating we were approached by a gentleman with a bible and notebook asking us to buy him food. One of the employees noticed what was going on and asked the man to leave. When he hesitated and went to another table three of the employees came out and ushered him out the door. First off I was completely impressed by this because I have never seen employees pay attention to what goes on beyond the counter so kudos for them on doing that. Second the way they ushered this man out of the building there wasn't any shoving or anything else they just walked him out of the building. So kudos to them also for not making a huge scene. I don't know if the man was homeless or not but he was asking us to buy him food but was outside smoking cigarettes when we left. Either way great food and the employees keep track of their dining room and patrons and that is absolutely awesome from my point of view. read more

The staff at this store is awesome. I come here once every week or so and have never left unhappy. Out of the dozens of times I've come they've only ever made one mistake, but I was still able to enjoy my food. On top of it, they're incredibly fast. The one time I went and they ran long ticket times, they threw extra fries in my bag for the inconvenience, I didn't even have a complaint nor was I unhappy, they just stepped up and enhanced my experience. You can tell who is in charge of every shift, the leaders here are listened to, respected, and easy to spot. I chose this place initially because of the convenience of the location, but return constantly because of the staff and food quality. Thanks for everything! read more

This Five Guys is in the old Roselyn Bakery right downtown Indianapolis. The exchange of sweet baked treats for that of American hamburgers is a welcomed exchange as any city is prone to change over time. Indy seems to be in a transition of national chains over local cuisine. However, Five Guys is a great chain for the best burger in downtown. I've taken a few people from overseas to this location and they have loved it each time. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger with small fries (they are always so generous with the extra fries). read more

I brought my siblings in to experience a phenomenal burger and the bomb cajun fries... and was a little disappointed. Our order got pretty messed up. Cajun fries were not made cajun, when I went back and asked to have them remade he just handed me seasoning to put on top instead of re-tossing the fries. I also needed to go back up to repeat our shake order to the same gentleman three times. I remained understanding, but the restaurant was not busy. Burgers, however, were made well and we loved them. My brother and I went in and ordered 2 bacon cheese burgers and 2 sm frys and 2 large drinks, I had ordered extra grilled onions and extra grilled jalapenos(its how I like my burgers), my burger had very little onion and 2 uncooked slices of jalapeno on the burger, by the time we got home we live 4 mins away we had to microwave everything because it was barely luke warm.The burgers from five guys are typically very juicy and tasty but it tasted as if they did not season anything. The frys were limp and old because they got orders mixed up along with the gentleman on the fry station was putting the frys above the hood on a non heated surface without and wormer and we had to wait 16mins for our food. As we were leaving we had 2 females try to steal our order aswell and they seemed as though they had done it before. I am very unhappy and disappointed with there survice. I have worked downtown for a while and had no idea this five guys was just down the street. I submitted my order online and went to pick it up. The burgers were ready upon arrival and they made my Cajun fries fresh as I got there and they were perfect. The staff was very friendly and conversational, definitely made me feel welcome. Been here a couple of times and usually you get your usual five guys burger with the overstuffed bag of fries. This one occasion however left me feeling a little disappointed. I hd ordered my usual, a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and onions. Wait time was about the same (5-10minutes) and after I had gotten my food in the bag, I left to bring it back to my workplace to eat. Once I got to my workplace and unwrapped my burger however, it was a huge sloppy mess. The burger was soaked in some type of sauce, to where the buns were soggy, and the lettuce wasn't even in the burger, to where it seemed like the person who made it just shoved it into the same wrap as the burger. After taking a bite it turns out that the burger was heavily slathered with mustard, and there were pickles on the inside. Both of these were things that I did not order on my burger, and after checking the tag on the burger just to make sure that I didn't accidentally pick someone else's burger, it turns out that whoever made this burger could not only choose the correct toppings/condiments, but also is sloppy at making burgers. I'll give this review a 2 star since this is the first time this has happened out of the numerous times that I have gone here, but if this keeps up I will unfortunately have to look for other burger alternatives that give me a generous serving of fries. read more

We have been to too many Five Guys locations to count. All of them except this one had been a great experience. Customer service was poor. Order was wrong. Burgers were smaller than other locations and fries were not cooked long enough. Also, I cannot have gluten and all other locations change their gloves when making my lettuce wrap burger. This location did not and I already have a headache...I hope this review makes it to management as this restaurant could give the chain a bad name. And we LOVE Five Guys! read more

I'd never been to a Five Guys before so this past Spring I went in for a sandwich, and a fountain drink at the E. Wash. St location. I ordered and went to the soda machine for a Cherry Coke, but both machines were out of order. When I asked one of the several employees to fix the machines, I was ignored. I ask another employee to fill my cup with soda from their machine behind the counter. They would not do that, so I got my money back. Then the manager comes out of the back and I tell her what happened. She offered to get my soda, but I had already got my money back, so I left. I sent an email to the Five Guys main office and politely explained I could not get a fountain drink with my meal. They never replied, so I will never go back to Five Guys where the young employees are rude to older male customers, and the fountain drink machines are out of order in the middle of the day, and the main office ignores customer complaints. I guess Five Guys must be doing so well that they don't need my business. So be it. read more

Recently re-opened and struggling. The food was as expected, but the customer service needs a lot of work. The staff is open to anyone watching so it's easy to see what is going on. I ordered with 4 or 5 other folks in succession. No large groups or unusual orders that I saw or heard. But when the tickets printed out, the staff looked as if they had never seen so many orders at one time. The wait was longer than I had hoped for given the number of people in front of me, but not ridiculous. What bothered me most was the customer service when my number was called. The girl holding my bag looked away and held the bag at arms length. I was clearly imposing on her. And the bag didn't contain everything I had ordered. No fries. All I ordered was a burger and fries so they missed 50% of the order. When they fixed it, I received the smallest portion of fries I have seen at a five guys. Even the tiny cup wasn't full - far short of the heap of fries I am used to seeing. Last time coming here - to many other choices. read more
