Okay, I'm a burger junkie! Except for pizza, I love nothing more than a good old fashion, greasy cheesburger! Five Guys never disappoints my craving for a great burger! This place is a straight forward burger joint. It's what they do. Sure you can get a chili/cheese dog or even a grilled cheese sandwich, but the burger is the main event here! Unless you order the "little" burger, all burgers are double-burgers. You can get them with an impressive list of ingredients available, to customize your burger and make it patently yours! I love the grilled onions and jalapeño peppers! But you can get other "fix in's" such as grilled 'shrooms, green peppers, even A-1 Steak Sauce! They offer Cajun seasoned fries. From my perspective, they are tasty, but a little on the salty side. So if you have blood pressure issues, buyer beware! A note about their fries though... they sell two sizes; regular and large. Trust me, the regular is plenty. My family of five, can get two regular orders, and they are more than enough. They really overload them! So if you're really into fries, go for it. But don't say I didn't want you! Pretty simple review, but that's really the extent of it. Five Guys does burgers and they do 'em well. If you're in the mood, you can't go wrong here. read more

Ordered a burger they will not cook the meat medium rare. I think the person said medium well or well done was as far as they could cook the meat. How wrong is that?? Can you imagine how many customers they are eliminating, not to mention the loss of revenue; oh well their loss. Won't ever go back. Cannot swallow over-cooked dehydrated meat. read more

Dining here reminded me of riding a crowded New York City subway. You are fractions of an inch away from the diner behind you, and the noise level makes conversation difficult. On the plus side, it was great to have French fries made from unpeeled potatoes. And having a veggie sandwich option on the menu for a burger place is a big plus. Became a big fan of this chain a few years ago when my wife-to-be took me there for lunch. I fell in love. This store is on par with the rest: great burgers, nice people, efficient and semi-respectable prices. ok, you pay 5-6 bucks for a burger. But the normal burgers are double meat monsters, with the junior burgers (one patty) the size of a normal one. Exttremly tasty. The fries are made from potatoes from all over, coooked in peanut oil. However, it costed my wife and I around $20 for two burgers, one fry, and one drink. Customer service has always been excellent. We've been three times now. The burgers are similar to Steak n Shake but bigger and a little better quality. I highly suggest splitting a small fry if you're with someone. They give you A LOT of fries. The menu is pricey but the food is worth it in my opinion. read more

Tried to do curbside pickup at the O'Fallon location a couple of weeks ago using the app. Placed my order for a couple of burgers, fries and drinks using the app, parked in front of the store and called to let them know I was parked in front. Order was promised at 11:51 am, according to the app. But 11:51 came and went. I called again at 12:15 and asked where my order was. It was brought out at 12:25 pm, more than a half hour after it had been promised on the app, and the shake was runny, as if it had been sitting on the counter for a long time. This was after I had tipped the staff $10 on the app. In addition, the place was not particularly busy. I will never go here again. read more

For starters, Five Guys is NOT In N Out, it's not close. It may be in the ballpark, but they are not on the same team. It's fresh, it's good in an old fashioned not fast food but burger joint sort of way. Yes, it's greasy and drippy but all in a delicious way. The fries were good, the way I prefer them to be- a little overcooked on the outside and a little gooey in the middle. Awesome tasting burgers and about everything you can put on one is available and everything is fresh too. I have only had the burgers there so I can't comment on the rest but its a place that I like to eat at even though I'm sure its not the best for you health wise. You get a lot of fries and they are good but not great and the only downfall is that they are really expensive for a burger. Not sure if you can get out of there between $10-$15 which to me is pretty high for burgers but on the other hand its good enough to keep me coming back. read more

This location just opened. Being from Northern Virginia, the home of Five Guys, I am so excited it's here! We went for lunch today, and it was PACKED. Even so, we only waited 7 minutes for our food, and everything was just as we ordered. And it was as good as I remember from the East Coast. They have a ton of people working, and they are efficient and friendly. My only complaint would be that the soda machine was out of a few syrups and seemed to be low on carbonation. I'm sure that it is because they have been so busy, so we will let that slide this time. We're just glad to have them here in the Metro East! read more

I really enjoy five guys burgers and fries. I like the fact that the burgers cooked fresh right in front of you and that the fries are hot and crispy. Sure other burger joints are starting similar trends but five guys really set it off. There's one close to the house and it's always a crowd pleaser. While sometimes the line can be rather long, the wait is generally short and the food is always hot and good. read more

So it's decent for fast food but I think Culver's or maybe a more local joint has a better burger. The quick hits - Burger isn't really that special.... no magic seasonings or prep. Kinda like what you fry in a skillet when you make them at home. - The fries are unevenly cooked so you get a lot of soggy, limp fries... the salt is regular. The cajun fries may be better but I tried to get the 'regular' spot. I can say the portions are huge but the prices are too high. I won't be going back as they only do burgers and fries and I'd rather pay a little less for what I think is better (culvers) or pay a little more and get better (red robin, plenty of other restaurants)... read more

The Little Bacon Cheeseburger was large and I had it topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onion and mushrooms, mayo and ketchup; VERY good, filling burger. The burgers are great and ask for the seasoning for the fries, you don't need too much. The idea of the "floater" on the floor and making sure the place stays tidy and he/she ask if they need anything is a neat addition to a place like this.
