Food is fine and order was correct and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Customer service was lacking. Employees were actively talking to each other about personal matters as if the customers were invisible (save that for break time). Very unprofessional. Taco bell is known for great service so this was disappointing. Hopefully this was a one off. read more

First know that I love Taco Bell. Guilty pleasure? Maybe. Anyway, I stopped by the Edwardsville location on Troy Road at 5:00 pm on a Monday. I went inside as I was killing time before an appointment. There is no longer a way to order from a person at this location, only remote screens. There isn't even a big menu. You must use the remote screen. That's ok, I'm used to it. So I ordered, typed my name in and went to look for a clean table. That was not an easy task. Given it was 5:00 on a weekday I assumed I was at the beginning of dinner rush, not after. Mostly dirty tables? Seems odd. I waited for my name to be called. Seems like I waited a pretty long time so I went to the pickup area and there was a tray sitting there. I had ordered a drink and an extra bottle of water which weren't sitting there so I assumed that tray wasn't mine. I had to work at getting someone's attention but when I did I asked about my order. She answered that was my order. So I asked if I could get my cup and bottle of water. She seemed confused but gave me a cup. Still no water. I asked again. Someone working the line called out to a third person to get me water out of the cooler. All this time my food sat there. I got the water and noticed that there was no sauce which I had ordered at the kiosk. I was told that the sauce was out front like the old days so I took my tray to a table. When I went to get the sauce there was none. Back I go to the counter. I told the very unhappy employee what I needed and she very unhappily got my sauce. Now I sat down to eat. Was it cold? Of course it was. By this time I had to get to my appointment so I took a couple of bites from the warmest parts I could and headed out. Never again at this location. read more

In a very large scale comparison to other Taco Bell franchises, this store (like many other Edwardsville iterations of fast food) just blows the others out of the water. They're almost always incredibly busy, and my food is just about always well made and hot. They rarely if ever mess up, and if they do, it's probably because they were busy. I'm not going to rate Taco Bell food as a company, but there exists a spectrum between the worst you can get from Taco Bell and the gold standard perfect almost tv ad looking Taco Bell. Edwardsville broke the barrier of the gold standard and seriously, if you're in Madison county and need a reliable taco bell it's crazy how much better Edwardsville is in quality/hotness of food and accuracy of order. Bonus Fact: You can get the most calories per dollar spent at Taco bell so if you want a way to load up for cheap or whatever you motive may be, taco bell is the most cost effective. read more

Personally not a big Taco Bell fan, it's Ok. My kids like it but all are starting to mention the portion size is inconsistent between one item and another that are identical items when they order. Our typical ticket is close to $50 a pop when we order. Taco Bell also needs a refresh, something, maybe bring back the bobble head Chihuahua? Joke. Hey it would get attention. While the food is not bad it's not as good as it once was. Hope this is short lived. I see some pictures posted here on Yelp and wish ours looked like those do, is ours an exception? The food has always been good but not good enough for the wait in the drive through line. They have you wait to pull up to the window after you ordered which makes everything take so much longer. The people always decently nice other than that but overall not worth the wait. read more

I had probably one of the worst experiences tonight (2/7/2021) with customer service in my entire time that I have been going to Taco Bell! I had ordered TacoBell through the drive through mind we were being rowdy while playing our order, which I do not fault them on that at all. But when we pulled to the window I immediately apologized for being annoying while ordering. With little to no response from the window worker. Then the issue of my order being weird, which I wanted three Baja blast which I ended up only paying for two. Which I was going to pay for a third if the worker would have said a single word to me other then that I only ordered 2. Than I would have, but beyond that I didn't even get my Cinnabon delights which when I called about them they had no response to that. Jennifer the manager was little to no help with our issue, and to be fair was completly rude over the phone. This is one of the nicest Taco Bell's I've been to. We have a big family so we place large orders, and often things are missing or wrong, but not here. Everything in our order was perfect!
