I've been wanting to try this place, because I am indeed a wing snob. Traditional bone-in only (IYKYK) the other is just glorified chicken strips with sauce. I ordered online and picked up my order to-go. The good news is the wings were ready quickly and also super crispy which is always pleasant and what you want out of a wing. The slightly bad news is the wings are *very* lightly sauced. There was an option to pay an extra 0.50 for extra sauce, but I decided to see what their baseline was since it was my first time ordering. In the future, if you like a sauced wing at all, I would pay the extra. I got the buffalo (one flame symbol) and the Nashville Hot (three flame symbols) which I felt was accurate. The buffalo was not really hot at all, just the buffalo-flavored sauce and the Nashville Hot was warm enough to leave your lips a little tingly, but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy the flavor. My interaction with the staff was brief but pleasant. I would love to come back and try their loaded fries which look delicious, but didn't trust I could get them home before they got cold and soggy. I've been to Wingsnob a few times already and it's always a mixed feeling when I'm there. Hear me out: Positives: -much cheaper than BWW -great selection of sauces -soda fountain -they do have good deals (like on Wednesday, the chicken sandwich combo for $10) -some of their sides are delish like the street corn. Negatives: -the wings are not that great, like as one reviewer pointed out, they are not as crisp. They taste like they were injected with something but I don't know what. -they have breaded fries. Not a fan, but I'll still eat them. They will put sauce on your fries at your request (not sure how extra it is) -limited seating Otherwise I do have their app and since its close to where I live I usually go here or Bubbakoo's next door. Wing Snob hasn't been open long. Went 2 weeks ago and it was quite busy, so we opted for Bubbakoos Burritos next door. I came back today for lunch and they were not busy at all. The in store menu is very busy and keeps rotating, so it isn't easy to read it and decide on an option. The cashier told me their most popular wing sauce was Garlic Parmesan, but I wanted to try a standard. I ordered the 6 piece traditional. I picked Buffalo sauce for the wings and sweat heat seasoning for the fries with ranch dressing. The I got a drink and found a table. within a few minutes they brought my order out. The total including tip was $18.30. The fries and wings were hot and fresh. The fries were complete fire! They were hot, crispy, and seasoned well with the sweat heat rub. The ranch dipping sauce was good as well and paired well with the sweat heat. The wings were not as great. they were hot and fresh, but they were saturated in Buffalo sauce. The wings were not fried enough to get crispy and the sauce was not helping that at all. except for the overpowering sauce, the wings had no flavor. The manager stood behind the counter and asked me if everything tasted good. I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise. This is a new store, so the interior is brand new and very nice, though not much seating as it appears they are saving room for gaming machines. That sucks. I think if i return, I would order one of the dry rubs to see if that helps the wings, but if the word Wing is in the name of the restaurant, the Wings should stand out, they did not. read more

We decided to try out Wing Snob in Glen Carbon for a take home dinner. The wife went in and ordered the traditional buffalo wings and the Nashville hot dry rub wings with some fries. She was uncertain that the young lady taking her order understood her. The cashier had a thick Indian accent that the wife had difficulty understanding. It seemed that the misunderstanding was mutual. Well we ate the fries on the way home. They were nice and hot temperature wise and seasoned well, slightly over salted but edible. Once we got home we found the wings to be completely over salted. Especially the Nashville Hot Rub flavor just tasted like salt. The Buffalo sauce was salty and frankly not a weak buffalo sauce taste. Unfortunately, Wing Snob ultimately disappointed this self proclaimed wing loving man. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store and the staff were wiping the kitchen down in preparation of closing for the night. I should have checked the food before I left but I didn't. I asked for my chicken and fries to be served well done. They weren't well done. My chicken and fries looked as though they had been cooked long before I ordered them. They definitely were not fresh. The fries were cold and soggy. I also ordered my wings as saucy garlic Parmesan as opposed to the dry rub. I was given dry wings that barely had any flavor. Finally got to try Wing Snob and did not disappoint. We did an online order and everything was ready on time with everyone inside being very kind. The shop itself is pretty small with having 4 to 6 small tables to eat at if you do indoor dining with poker gaming taking a good chuck of the area up. The parking lot is a little small and it can be a bit of a trick to try to get out or in the lot depending on how you are coming. Overall way better than Wingstop with the food actually tasted fresh and not frozen ever. The highlights were the giant size chicken tenders and the sweet chili flats with still being crispy because of the viscosity of the sauce not getting the wings soggy. I loved the tanginess of the teriyaki sauce and having an option of syrup to dip the tenders in. The only thing that might be a hit was the feeling that the fries were on the tad bit salty side and the food getting a little cold but only because of a 40 so minute drive home. Wings were pink and raw on the inside. One person in the group asked for a refund and go it, but part of the group had eaten some the seemed done and ended up sick throwing up all night long. While we were there, the owner or manager also loudly yelled at the employees accusing them of stealing cash from the register. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more
