I've been wanting to try this place, because I am indeed a wing snob. Traditional bone-in only (IYKYK) the other is just glorified chicken strips with sauce. I ordered online and picked up my order to-go. The good news is the wings were ready quickly and also super crispy which is always pleasant and what you want out of a wing. The slightly bad news is the wings are *very* lightly sauced. There was an option to pay an extra 0.50 for extra sauce, but I decided to see what their baseline was since it was my first time ordering. In the future, if you like a sauced wing at all, I would pay the extra. I got the buffalo (one flame symbol) and the Nashville Hot (three flame symbols) which I felt was accurate. The buffalo was not really hot at all, just the buffalo-flavored sauce and the Nashville Hot was warm enough to leave your lips a little tingly, but not so hot that you couldn't enjoy the flavor. My interaction with the staff was brief but pleasant. I would love to come back and try their loaded fries which look delicious, but didn't trust I could get them home before they got cold and soggy. So next time I'm there for dine-in, I'll give those a try. If you're a wing snob, it's worth a visit! read more

Got the spicy wings which had a nice spicy taste but not too hot and the lemon pepper. French fries were amazing as well and died cauliflower was some of the best I have had. I forgot to take pictures of my food! It took a little while to get our order but we walked in and they had a lot of people picking up their carry out orders. Place was clean and looked new. read more

Wing Snob - Chicken Wings Near Me - Glen Carbon, Illinois

I've been to Wingsnob a few times already and it's always a mixed feeling when I'm there. Hear me out: Positives: -much cheaper than BWW -great selection of sauces -soda fountain -they do have good deals (like on Wednesday, the chicken sandwich combo for $10) -some of their sides are delish like the street corn. Negatives: -the wings are not that great, like as one reviewer pointed out, they are not as crisp. They taste like they were injected with something but I don't know what. -they have breaded fries. Not a fan, but I'll still eat them. They will put sauce on your fries at your request (not sure how extra it is) -limited seating Otherwise I do have their app and since its close to where I live I usually go here or Bubbakoo's next door. Service is usually friendly, so that's not an issue. Maybe I am too much of a wing snob! (pun intended) read more

Everything from the food to the service was great. Wings were made fresh - hot, crispy, flavorful. Street corn was really good and the dill ranch was yummy. Would highly recommend and this is a great option for a break from wingstop. read more

I been here a few times snd each time the food was amazing. I look forward to coming back here & trying something different.

Wing Snob hasn't been open long. Went 2 weeks ago and it was quite busy, so we opted for Bubbakoos Burritos next door. I came back today for lunch and they were not busy at all. I had downloaded to app to be able to go through the menu prior to going, but neither the app nor the website give you the option to view a menu without starting an order, so I went in blind. The in store menu is very busy and keeps rotating, so it isn't easy to read it and decide on an option. The cashier told me their most popular wing sauce was Garlic Parmesan, but I wanted to try a standard. I ordered the 6 piece traditional. I picked Buffalo sauce for the wings and sweat heat seasoning for the fries with ranch dressing. The I got a drink and found a table. within a few minutes they brought my order out. The total including tip was $18.30. The fries and wings were hot and fresh. The fries were complete fire! They were hot, crispy, and seasoned well with the sweat heat rub. The ranch dipping sauce was good as well and paired well with the sweat heat. The wings were not as great. they were hot and fresh, but they were saturated in Buffalo sauce. The wings were not fried enough to get crispy and the sauce was not helping that at all. except for the overpowering sauce, the wings had no flavor. The manager stood behind the counter and asked me if everything tasted good. I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise. This is a new store, so the interior is brand new and very nice, though not much seating as it appears they are saving room for gaming machines. That sucks. I think if i return, I would order one of the dry rubs to see if that helps the wings, but if the word Wing is in the name of the restaurant, the Wings should stand out, they did not. read more

Honestly, the food's taste nearly matches that of Wingstop; however, overall, it is quite excellent. I highly recommend trying the buffalo ranch wings, which I would rate 8 out of 10. read more

Wing Snob - This picture is after my son ate he had the 5 chicken strips and fries and cornbread he's a big eater he's 16 with a high metabolism! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Glen Carbon, Illinois

We decided to try out Wing Snob in Glen Carbon for a take home dinner. The wife went in and ordered the traditional buffalo wings and the Nashville hot dry rub wings with some fries. She was uncertain that the young lady taking her order understood her. The cashier had a thick Indian accent that the wife had difficulty understanding. It seemed that the misunderstanding was mutual. Well we ate the fries on the way home. They were nice and hot temperature wise and seasoned well, slightly over salted but edible. Once we got home we found the wings to be completely over salted. Especially the Nashville Hot Rub flavor just tasted like salt. The Buffalo sauce was salty and frankly not a weak buffalo sauce taste. Unfortunately, Wing Snob ultimately disappointed this self proclaimed wing loving man. But the french fries, I would make them loaded, would be awesome loaded fries! read more

My first visit to the store was at 8:30 pm. The store closed at 10 pm. The young lady at the counter was unfamiliar with the menu and unable to answer any questions I asked her. At one point I asked the young lady if the ranch dressing was good and she responded that she didn't know. I asked the young lady if I could have a sample of the ranch dressing. In no uncertain terms, I was told no and the young lady adopted an attitude of "do you want it or not". I saw a male cook and one other young lady in the store. No one was friendly. I felt as though I was an interruption to their evening. My food... I ordered two 8 piece chicken wings with fries. My food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store and the staff were wiping the kitchen down in preparation of closing for the night. I should have checked the food before I left but I didn't. I asked for my chicken and fries to be served well done. They weren't well done. My chicken and fries looked as though they had been cooked long before I ordered them. They definitely were not fresh. The fries were cold and soggy. I also ordered my wings as saucy garlic Parmesan as opposed to the dry rub. I was given dry wings that barely had any flavor. I am disappointed with the poor customer service, and the quality of the food I ordered. I am sad because I was excited to try Wing Snob and wanted to become a regular customer. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but it missed the mark in too many areas. The wings were definitely large, but they were overcooked and dry... not the juicy, flavorful kind you'd hope for at a wing spot. The fries were actually pretty good and probably the best part of the meal. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, and it was hard to hear or understand them when ordering, which made the experience feel a bit unwelcoming. **The weirdest part? I ordered a chicken sandwich and asked if they could toss it in sauce (seemed like a super basic request at a wing place), and they said they couldn't do it. Just bizarre. I attached a photo of the sandwich. Lots of potential here, but overall it just didn't deliver. read more

Been here a few times. The food comes out fresh and fast. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Will come back.

Finally got to try Wing Snob and did not disappoint. We did an online order and everything was ready on time with everyone inside being very kind. The shop itself is pretty small with having 4 to 6 small tables to eat at if you do indoor dining with poker gaming taking a good chuck of the area up. The parking lot is a little small and it can be a bit of a trick to try to get out or in the lot depending on how you are coming. Overall way better than Wingstop with the food actually tasted fresh and not frozen ever. The highlights were the giant size chicken tenders and the sweet chili flats with still being crispy because of the viscosity of the sauce not getting the wings soggy. I loved the tanginess of the teriyaki sauce and having an option of syrup to dip the tenders in. The only thing that might be a hit was the feeling that the fries were on the tad bit salty side and the food getting a little cold but only because of a 40 so minute drive home. Can't wait to go back and try it right there for the ultimate fresh experience! read more

If you are a wing snob skip this place . Prices are high and the food is mediocre. We ordered bone in, boneless and a Sando. The chicken was tough and chewy. Sauces were good as were the sides. There are two other wing spots in town that are superior in value and quality. This was a S Wing and a miss. read more

Tried this out via uber eats for lunch today and was very impressed with their Nashville hot wings . Great seasoning and cooked with a crispy edge on the wings . Happy they are in town ! read more

Wings were pink and raw on the inside. One person in the group asked for a refund and go it, but part of the group had eaten some the seemed done and ended up sick throwing up all night long. While we were there, the owner or manager also loudly yelled at the employees accusing them of stealing cash from the register. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

This food was soo good! We need some in Missouri. It's small and not really a dine in restaurant but we sat and ate since we aren't from Illinois. Our food came out hot and fresh. The flavors were remarkable. The ranch was for sure homemade. Service was great as well. Will definitely be back! read more

Best chicken, Cheap ice cold Beer/seltzer, decent wait because it's crazy busy on weekends and hard to get out of the parking lot. Overall this blows B-Dubs and other chicken joints especially with the alcohol menu and perfect place to sit and eat if you don't like the bar setting. read more

we've been waiting for this place to open for the longest but it was worth it! The size of the boneless beats every chicken place in the area! The service was great and the manager makes sure to ask our feedback after dining in! Will definitely stop by again for beer and the famous boneless chicken! read more

The food was great and the service was good. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. The inside was clean and welcoming.

Got food here yesterday for the first time. 1 inside was loud but the person at the front counter was whispering I had to ask to repeat 3 to 5 times to repeat 2. Got the cauliflower wings they were soft gooey and sauce was just drizzled on compared to the wings which had a healthy cover 3. I don't know how you make wings that are gross but this place managed it . Never going here again definitely my worst experience getting wings in glen carbon edwardsville area.
