The suggested wait time here is always astronomically incorrect. If it says 30 mins, add on at LEAST 20 more. I always get a 3 tender combo meal & that alone. Which you wouldn't think takes as long as a 40 count wing, but you'd be incorrect. Order was supposed to be done at 7:25 and walked out at 7:50. If the food wasn't so good, I'd be pressed to give it a lower score. The staff has always been very kind, and they all seem to be working with tact during busy times. Very high amount of DoorDash orders it seems which I can imagine messes with ticket times. It's just a shame you can always count on them to be slow. I think the owners should do their staff a favor and hire more people, maybe turn off online ordering or DoorDash to help with the management of how orders come in. We've been to this Edwardsville location of Wingstop several times over the years and, lately, things are not so great. Tonight, my wife, daughter, and I went for dinner. The young lady that came to the counter, when we walked in, seemed like she would much rather be anywhere but where she was and that became more evident when we told her we were ordering for dine in. We ordered 2- 6 piece boneless combos and 1- 8 piece boneless combo. Nothing special. There was another party of 3 right behind us in line That ordered items to go. We made our drinks and found a table. as other customers came in the restaurant. I heard the employee tell them it would be a 45 minute wait. This has been a common thing with this location for some time. for wings and fries? really? The people that ordered right after us, got part of their order after about 10 minutes. several minutes later they called my wife's name. She went to the counter and was not being acknowledged. They called the name of the party that came in right after us and same treatment. Finally, a male from that group asked the lady at the counter for their order as it had been sitting there for quite sometime. They gave them their order and my wife told the employee our order had been called as well. Did not get better from there. The food was cold. The wings were mushy and cold and the fries were cold, partially because they sat so long after being packaged and partially because they were only half cooked. At that point we ate what we could and left without making a big deal out of it. The funny part about this, is they have printed "letters" taped to the front of the ordering counter asking you to leave them 5 star ratings. If this is the service and quality you are giving your customers, how do you expect 5 star ratings? I totally get a large bulk of their business is online ordering (we are in a collage town), but why have inside dining at all if this is how you are going to treat customers that eat in the restaurant? One of the things I do not like about Wingstop is the fact there is not one trash can in the dining area. Wing Stop has usually been known for wings but when an order that was placed a week prior for a gathering was then claimed never ordered by the store turns into stupidity. The acting manager was about as Karen as one could be. Claiming the order just came through their system moments before the store opened. Further following up with wingstop corporate (after the store claimed they couldn't fulfill the order and then never refunded the order) got an interesting feedback about what the manager claimed happened. And by questions, I mean I probably asked all of three clarifying questions, as the pricing policy was not explained to me at all. Saying how they were holding back laugher. This humiliation amongst the employees (once again, loudly and within earshot) lasted for around a solid minute before my order was handed to me. First and foremost, everyone complaining about the wait time, THEY ARE chicken wings made fresh. Chicken does not cook quickly like fries. If you're smart like me, I always call ahead. Every time they confirm your order they say "your order will be ready in 17mins". That's the cook time and their mantra. And ya know what, they've always been consistently 17mins. I'm not a fan of their boneless but maybe I've not had the right combo. I prefer bone-in. My favorite flavors are the original and lemon pepper. Second, they're fries are incredible. The only time I waited a minute over 17 was when they were waiting on fresh fries to accompany my meal. They're never overcooked and they are always hot. I've never had anything served here not fresh. Only complaints I've had are that my lemon pepper, wasn't lemony - peppery enough. So I learned to tell them that and they work to ensure it's better. Second complaint, they took away the "gliders" which were wonderful chicken sandwiches on delicious buns that rivaled Chikfila but they had lemon pepper on them. Totally craveable and a sad loss to their menu! BRING THEM BACK. I do find sometimes their workers maybe really hot because the place is small and they face the west getting all day sun with no shades on their windows. They need shades. It's not even comfortable to wait inside. Management should work on that. I think I've only encountered hard working employees that are hot; not necessarily crabby. I tried this place out about a month ago and I was a bit disgusted. The prices were fine as they were a bit cheaper than BWW across the street, and I'm glad they had combo meals that were reasonable. But what really turned me away was that I found not one, but two hairs in my food. One was in my wings and the other was a long strand in my blue cheese dressing. I did inform one of the workers there, and he apologized. Then I looked in the kitchen and not many of the workers were wearing head protection gear.
