Wow, talk about and underwhelming experience. After having a good lunch at their location in San Jose (The Plant) I took my wife and the MIL to the new location closer to home. Of course it was packed and eating there required hovering over tables of people suspected of finishing their meal first. Maybe putting up with that is worthwhile if the product overcomes the ambiance but all of our sandwiches had some part of the order wrong. After going to In-N-Out for years they have never messed up my order. I'm by no means an In-N-Out fanboy but that is probably a good operation to compare them to. When done right, the burgers are OK. Fries can make or break a burger indulgence for me. I like a softer fry like the ones they serve but many do not. Speaking of fries, the location in San Jose heaped mountains of them on the tray but the Dublin location barely filled up a cup of fries that they called a 'large'. Weak! My advice is to walk across the plaza and have a better burger and much more sedate dining experience at Fuddruckers. read more

The price is a little high for a burger joint, but I think it's worth it if you have the extra change. I usually get the cheeseburger with everything with jalapeno peppers and cajun fries (though their regular fries are pretty good also). The burgers are hand tossed and all of their toppings come with the original price of the burger. Plus while you wait you can enjoy some free peanuts. I wouldn't compare this place to In-n-Out like other ppl are because this is a different burger experience in my opinion. Only negatives are the price and that they have no milkshakes. read more

Got a quick fix today before seeing a movie at the IMAX theater next door. Ordered a kosher hot dog with grilled mushrooms and onions, with tomato and ketchup too. Odd combination but still surprisingly good. Kosher hot dog was quite juicy. The dog was kind of small though. Thought it would have been a tad bigger given its almost a $5 dog. Overall though it was good. It was tasty but maybe ill go back for a burger instead! read more

SO good for a "fast food" hamburger and fries. I don't know why people waste their time and calories on In & Out Burger. I got the little cheese burger and regular fries. We had a "little burger" with almost everything and it was plenty big. No complaints at all about the burger. Hot, juicy, flavorful, very comparable to In-n-out. Fries were not as good, soggy and overly brown, you could taste it in the flavor. Prices were that of an Airport, too high for what we received in return. I expected better reviews from yelpers... I think this place is great. A few things I like: - I like how they show you where today's potatos come from (kids, people make fries out of potatos, FYI) - I like the free peanuts - I like the service, it has always been good for me. - I like the zing to the cajun fries, they taste great. - I like the options for the burgers, being able to add grilled onions or mushrooms, etc. - Burgers taste pretty darn good. I have never had a "soggy" bun but i would think that if you dont like that type of thing you could ask for less condiments. Just a thought. The best thing about this place for me is that I walked out of the joint without my iPad, luckliy one of the people who was working there snagged it before someone shaddy did and i ended up getting it back. read more

My cheeseburger was bland. I like McDonald's 1 dollar cheeseburger. If you want napkins you need to ask at the counter, and yet a cheeseburger, fries, and small drink came to over 11 dollars. The cajun fries were nothing special, they gave what looked a pound of fries - most of which I had to throw away since I was there for lunch by myself, I would predict a speedy demise to this business if I didn't see the crowds and history behind this place. With all the fanfare, I had to try this place. At double the cost of In-N-Out, it better be twice as good or at least as good; right? Unfortunately no. My bill was $11.61 for a cheeseburger small fry, (more on that) and small drink. I don't mind paying that for a gourmet burger place, but not for chain fast food. The burger was good. I can't complain about that. It taste like something I would make at home. I miss the In-N-Out sauce though. The fries are another story. Almost $3.00 for a small. I had a cup full, and half a bag full of fries. Hey Guys, America is already fat enough. Why don't you drop the price of them by 25% and cut the quantity by 50%. That would take a bit of the dent out of my bill. The burger is larger than a cheeseburger from In-N-Out, but it comes with a larger price as well; Nearly $6.00 compared to less than 3.00 at In-N-Out. After eating there, I felt bloated. After eating at In-N-Out, I feel content. If your tired of me referencing In-N-Out, don't blame me; blame Five Guys Red and White color theme. I'm sure this was not done by mistake. If they were to throw in a little yellow, they probably would of been sued. All and all, it was a pretty good meal, but at that price, I'll be sticking with the double palm trees. read more

I really love the burgers here and the toppings that they offer but the frys here are SUPER greasy. I recommend getting the burger to go and getting frys at some other place or just cook them yourself because a few times i had the frys from this location the frys were limp because of all the grease in it! read more

Ok sure they have a clean wide space.. that is completely crowded with chairs and tables you can squeeze through to get to a table with your purse hitting someones soda or head. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was tiny for 3 dollars. It's not worth the wait and stress of trying to get a seat. Plus i miss Taxi's. Five Guys was amazing the first time I've had it but my impression wanes with every visit. First of all, if you're ordering a burger with lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup, you're doing it wrong. The point is to load it with as many toppings as possible. Once I got past the novelty of having 10 different toppings on a burger though, I realized that the burger itself isn't that great, and pretty expensive to boot. If you get a burger and friends plus drink it's something like 10-12 bucks. I usually go with In-n-out over Five Guys. read more

A good place for a Fresh burger, I can only do a single burger. Always fresh crunchy toppings lettuce, tomatoes and pickles! An order of fries is quite large one order feeds 2 people. My family enjoys it .... so we will be back. read more

Liked the selection of toppings - you can choose from 10+ options. By default, you get two patties in the burger. (hence the five buck price??) Would like a better quality bun on the burgers. I saw a news clip about which was better, Five Guys or IN & OUT Burgers. They came to the conclusion that even though Five Guys was more expensive than IN & OUT that they were better so I wanted to try them. So yesterday I planned my day scheduling in a trip to the new Five Guys in Dublin. It was around lunch time and was very crowded and very LOUD. When I got to the Cashier, he asked was this my 1st time there, I said yes, and he informed me about the hamburgers, size and what is available to go on them. I got a Little Hamburger, regular fries, and a small drink....it came to $10 plus some change!!! I was thinking that this better be good. I found a table and got a container of peanuts (nice touch) until they called my number. The burger and fries were just O.K., the burger got messy and broke apart by end, I can see why they put so many napkins in the bag. The fries were enough for 2 or 3 people, but overall not real crispy. Bottomline - it's too expensive and in my opinion they were wrong about the burger being better than In & Out. I tried five guys for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious. I had the little bacon burger and little was definitely enough for me. I like this much better than In-N-Out, you get to add in all the other toppings (such as pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, bbq sauce and etc). The french fries were okay, I'm not a big fan of fries but I would go back for their burgers. Too bad there are no milkshakes though. read more

The burger is good and the toppings that come with it are a nice touch. What isn't good is the price and the fries! Why am I paying over 11 dollars for a drink, fries, and a burger? The fries are always soggy and the flavor is just never good. Looking around the place all they do is promote how amazing they think they are from all the articles from random magazines all over the US. Big deal, focus on your food and price. People need to stop comparing Five Guys to In-N-Out, they are in no way the same. In-N-Out is the better deal and has a better burger. Everyone should at leasst try this place, but I am saving my money and heading over to In-N-Out . read more

Several people compare this place to In & Out but I think it's a totally different type of hamburger joint. First of all, their burgers are massive, designed for the "once in a while" needs of meat eaters, rather than being a super fast, fast food concept. It's not expensive, but spending $8-9 a day on lunch would be a bit much for me, whereas In & Out ends up being less than $5. I feel incredibly stuffed after 5 Guys but moderately full after In & Out. The taste is very, very good but it's also greasy - much greasier than In & Out. (Clear correlation in my mind.) The missing star is for one reason: they produce slightly out of sequence, so your order of cheeseburgers and fries can come after someone else, who happened to order no-cheese hamburgers and fries but was behind you in line. Best burger I had was at five guys..... The juiciness of the meat and the amount of ingredients can't be matched. A bit expensive, though.

I really like Five Guys. I'm not sure why all the comparisons to In N Out though. Other than the obvious red and white tiles, I would say they are quite different. I like Fives fries alot better and the burgers are very good too. I wouldn't compare. I would just say they are a solid burger joint and IMO different than in n out burger wise. Burgers are good. Last time I went I had a weird situation where the girl at the counter kept stalling for time it felt like. I asked for a Cheeseburger with just some sauce and she started asking if I knew how to buy a burger. Then my girlfriend with a small frame ordered a Cheeseburger and was asked "Are you sure?" and was then referred to the "Little Cheeseburger." Why on earth is the employee trying to convince my girlfriend to spend less money at their establishment? If you like good burgers go here, but if you don't like being judged for choosing to eat what you like, just go to In-N-Out. read more

Compared to in and out or other more highly regarded or popular places, this is easily the best. The Habit is now in the area and we tried it yesterday. I like it more than in and out but prefer five guys as the meat pattie is larger by far. The fries are better at five guys as well. read more

I eat here pretty often and the food for the most part is excellent. But I have to give a shout out to the manager on duty Joey on 11/14/15 at about 845pm. There was a little issue with my order and he stepped in and gave excellent customer service and he went over and beyond and made me a very satisfied customer. I've had some okay experiences and some not so good experiences. The food is just okay, so the not so good experiences make me not want to eat here. One time I went 30 minutes before closing to grab a bite to eat. They were already in full cleaning mode and told me at the register that they had shut down the griddles and I couldn't have any burgers. So then I asked for an order of fries that I could take to go since they clearly wanted to close up early. Her response? "We're out of fries." I would have had more respect for her if she would have just said "You know, we had a quiet night and started closing up early, all the equipment is shut down and we aren't serving any more food." And then maybe offer me a voucher for some fries at my next visit or something. But, really? You're out of fries? So all those sacks of potatoes are just for decoration? Then the other day my husband used the app to preorder so that you can "skip the line" which is their registered trademark on their website. Hubby sent me in a little while after to pick up the order and told me to go to the side register because that is where you get the online orders. I waited over by that register until the girl at the main register looked over and I said I had an online order and she said, "Go get in line." Huh? So, I have to get in line with all the other people who are placing their orders then and there? So I guess you can't "skip the line" after all? I waited with everyone else until it was my turn and then I gave her my info, and she called out the order to the crew and I had to wait for the food just like everyone else. I see absolutely no point in using the app if you have to go through the motions of waiting in line and placing your order like everyone else who didn't preorder. And you should definitely not have the motto "Skip the line" as your registered trademark if you don't intend to honor it! read more

I always felt five guys was overrated but my husbands wanted to give them another try. Per the usual they disappointed. The order taker was really nice and got our order right, but it took so long to get our food we were almost late for our movie and we had over an hour to eat and get back. I asked them to cut my burger in half and for a side of bbq sauce and I got neither. My burger was cold and soggy and I left frustrated. Probably going to be a very long time before I try them again, if ever. Need more leadership presence to get this place going in the right direction again. read more

We used to always go to the Fudruckers in the same shopping center. People kept telling me about Five Guys in San Francisco, but I never had a chance to go. This place was great! Bacon cheese burger was the best I've had in years! I will be going back for sure! read more
