The call buttons don't work on the menu board so you have to honk your horn to get their attention. That's highly obnoxious. They don't know where you are after you honk so they have to guess what car honked. It's ridiculous. OR, you get out of your car and walk to the opposite side of the building and order at a window. Everyone that worked there looked and acted burned out. The kitchen looked really run down and dirty. The health department might need to pay them a visit. When I got the food, it looked hastily slapped together and the only thing that was barely passable and edible was the cheeseburger and it definitely wasn't worth almost 8.00. It was a single patty. The fries were not hot and neither were the fried mushrooms or chicken nuggets. The fried mushrooms were notably and especially bad. They had super thick breading and a tiny mushroom inside. I'm sure they were bagged frozen, but the quality is beyond terrible. They don't offer any sauces unless you ask for them. The ice cream was average and it was overpriced too. It's really some of the worst food I've had in awhile and my digestive system wasn't thanking me afterward. What a waste of time and money. It was truly a regretful experience across the board.

I ordered the Beef and Cheddar Croissant. It was fantastic as always. I got some au jus on the side to dip in along with some cheese sauce. The jus didn't do a whole lot for the sandwich but the cheese sauce was fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Chicago Dog. She really enjoyed it and the way it was very briny and tangy with all the pickled items. She also loves tomato's so it was a huge hit for her. She added a little ketchup which I did holler at her for the sin, no worries. We got three separate side items to share. We got basic French Fries, Onion Rings and Chicken Tenders. All three are delicious. The fries are standard crinkle cut fries. Hard to mess those up. The chicken tenders are huge, juicy and very crunchy. The onion rings in my opinion are the best of the three sides we ordered. Dipping the onion rings in the au jus was fantastic. I enjoy the comeback sauce as well with all items and of course the cheese sauce goes with everything. Overall Portillo's the second time around was miles better for us. We will return again.

Clean and bright was an issue. There were quite a few people behind the counter but not enough to clean tables. It was my first time at a Portillo's, so maybe their drive in is more of a focus. I do not live in a state that has a Portillo's but I would go back to one in Arizona for Spring Training.
