    Five Guys in Chelsea, MA
    Bruce K.

Good and fast today. I got a cheeseburger, forgetting that their regular cheeseburger is TWO patties and their regular fries are enough for three. The burger was cooked perfectly and topped exactly as ordered. I love that they have a bunch of excellent free toppings. Double tomato, grilled onion, grilled green pepper, pickles (and they're good pickles!), and grilled mushrooms. Delicious and just a little messy. Fries were excellent. Not too much salt, cooked properly, excellent flavor. I poured out a third of the cup and left the rest. I don't need to be the size of TWO houses! Coke Freestyle machine plus 'instant' tea dispensers.

    Not what I ordered. Pathetic.

5 Guys 445333931 @ 6:51 And someone on the crew flipped the status to complete at 6:59 But when I came in to pick it up, the guy behind the counter who spoke zero english, said there was no order number and nothing under my name or number. Then another person came over, completely perplexed with the order number on the 5guys App. It took 3 of the employees to finally find the order and then see that it hadn't been even prepped. I was then told to wait another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I stand up to see whats going on and the guy said, "oh your order has been ready" but he failed in thinking to notify me as I sat right across from the counter waiting. I grab the bag and drive home. Only to get home and realize the order is not complete and clearly thrown together in haste. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Wrapped in lettuce with Grilled Onions Grilled mushrooms Lite Mayo AND BBQ sauce All of this is CLEARLY labeled on the receipt. What I get is A metal tin with the burger inside Two burger patties with cheese on half of one patty NOT wrapped in lettuce Mayo in a cup "Grilled onions and mushrooms that are cold" And NO BBQ SAUCE This is pathetic. I want my money back and a coupon for the next time I order.

In the middle of a nor'easter, I trudged through the snow from my hotel to see what all the fuss was about My first Five Guys experience starts with free peanuts! Pleasantly surprising. All ingredients were very fresh. Each burger done to order. Real lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Fries were fresh and big thick cut real skin on potatoes. Nice greasy bag tells the whole story. Excellent quality for a chain.

    Hooray for coke freestyle machines

I'm usually a pretty big fan of five guys. They are one of the better quick service places and it certainly is a delicious burger most of the time. They aren't cheap but they aren't expensive either. I have to say that this was my most disappointing experience with them so far, however. This particular location was mostly empty and seemed to have a well staffed kitchen. But, the orders took oddly long, and they actually lost mine. I ended up waiting more than a half an hour for a burger at a place that had no line. When I noticed they had gotten well past my order number, and finally asked about it, they didn't apologize, explain what happened, or offer anything for it. They just acted like that was business as usual. When the burger finally arrived, it was not really up to the usual quality. I don't know if they rushed it, but the flavor just wasn't there... and I was starving so that was extra surprising. Usually a longer wait will make everything taste better. I think what made me the most annoyed was that they were really skimpy on the fries. Usually Five Guys is where you order a small fry and find your bag half full. That's why they cost $3 for just a small, or $5 for a large. This time, there were just a handful of extras beyond the tiny cup size. Definitely not worth the cost. All in all I paid $10+ for a mediocre burger and a small fry. Next time I'll just go to one of the many other food places near here... I'm glad this wasn't my first experience with the brand or otherwise I might not have given it another shot.

I always try something different at 5 guys. I've never had a bad experience. I ordered my food on the app and first they forgot to give me the shake I ordered as well. They asked what type of shake but I added a bunch of toppings on the app so I did not remember. They all seemed confused until they found my shake in the fridge. The veggie burger was so mushy and wet. Drenched in mayo and soggy. I came here during my lunch break. The sandwich was not even edible and I threw it away. The fries are usually fine but they were as wet as my burger. The only good thing was my shake. Never will I go to this location on my lunch break again. Waste of money and the workers seem to not know what was going on. To be honest, I think I never want Five Guys again. This really grossed me out.

I had all these images of what these burgers would taste like... and so I finally went & it was good but I was expecting this Big, Huge Burger and it wasnt really that... It was good, but it was just of average (kinda small) size.. The cajun fries are way too seasoned to the point they are almost unenjoyable because they are too salty/seasoned... Love that they have the Coke Freestyle because Grape Sprite is my new fave... Would go again & maybe try somthing different!

    So fresh, so clean

Pretty good burger, and concept burger joint. Nothing particularly spectacular, but consistency goes a long way. And they are very consistent. Ordered online and two burgers were cooked thoroughly (they don't have options for doneness) which is my only strong critique. Fries heavily seasoned cajun spices ....as ordered. In terms of value, it's an expensive quick-service Burger. So for $22 you get to bacon cheeseb urgers and a large french fry. Which is heads and shoulders above anything you would get from a drive-thru however not quite 2 the level of some other Burger joints this category a restaurant would not get a five-star from me 4 would be the highest experience I could give at a burger joint. Overall yummy clean and happy burger experience.

They were out of long hots, which isn't a huge deal, but seems would be a major part of the flavor profile. It comes with a garlic aioli, which I'd strongly recommend skipping. It's extremely heavy on the aioli with very little garlic flavor, and the added provolone actually takes away from the overall taste rather than enhancing it. The real issue, though--the nail in the coffin--was the steak itself, which is obviously the most important part. It's advertised as being shaved fresh on site, but the trimming and consistency need serious work. I ended up throwing away more than half the sandwich. Even picking through the meat, a large portion consisted of thick, roughly 1/8-inch thick slices full of gristle (see picture) that were impossible to chew. That's not what I expect from a $19 cheesesteak. I'd expect that quality from a Market Basket sandwich, not from a place like this, and that was genuinely disappointing. As a side note, the house-baked sesame roll is a nice touch, but it really should be toasted. As served, it was overly soft and heavier than a typical sub roll. Two stars solely based on the cheesesteak. It's not a one-star review only because the pizza and chicken cutlets are still good here.

I've been here since they opened and I've never got American cheese on my burger. I'm not a fan. Anyway today I asked what type of cheese options they had today as they had a couple specialty burgers up on the wall with different cheeses. I was informed that I only had a choice of one American, which I'm not a fan. I asked why they said no more choices only choice that's how it comes. So much add your toppings. I guess this doesn't apply at the Broadway Everett location. is this a companywide thing I am extremely curious or was the cashier/host giving me a bunch of crap???? Unfortunately this will eliminate me from purchasing as many burgers as I do with this location. I'm a huge fan of burgers, but with today's mishap of having to get only American on my burger, I got double pickles on my burger rather than the triple I asked for and then they served me the wrong burger when I went back up to the counter they actually had my burger, waiting for me. The girl grabbed the incorrect burger off my tray and threw it directly in trash in front of me. It did not go back to the kitchen there was no apology. It was just grabbed the wrong tray in the garbage next to us, and proceeded to put the burger on my tray apology no nothing and then obviously the senior cashier/Host at the Next register who took my order said oh she just gave you the wrong burger. I thought this was extremely bad customer service. I would've appreciated it if they took it and put it back to the kitchen in the kitchen throw it away or if they had offered to let me keep the burger for the inconvenience however, it was just a total disrespect, grabbing it, and I mean, grabbing it not picking it up slowly or whatever it was picked up and grabbed extremely fast and slammed into the trash barrel next to her, I'm actually appalled a little bit. I think corporate has to come up with a scenario where the guests feel comfortable in a situation like this, but this was totally the most responsible and incorrect way to handle return from a guest. I will say that my shake I got a vanilla shake was good and my burger was good. Other than the fact that I had to eat American cheese which I do not usually appreciate time burger I'll have the cheese unless once again I got told incorrect crappola.

The French toast was absolutely outstanding!! Easily one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, rich, and flavorful, it's a must-order and alone makes this place worth visiting. The huevos rancheros were decent, but not quite at the same level. They felt a bit less authentic than expected, and the hot sauce option was limited to Tabasco. I think a more traditional, homemade Mexican-style salsa would have elevated the dish significantly and made it shine. Because of that, I'm giving North Street Grille 4 stars. The French toast is phenomenal, and with a little more attention to authenticity on certain savory dishes, this spot could easily be a 5-star brunch destination. I'd definitely come back!
