incredible customer service, I had an issue ordering through doordash for a large order, so I showed up at the location and the Qdoba staff figured out a way to fill my order in such a timely manner. I am so impressed with the service an helpful attitude of the employees and manager Luis. They went above and beyond. It's a Qdoba, and if you've been to one this is a fine representation of the chain. I was staying nearby and as a mostly plant based food eater I can rely on Qdoba and the likes to satisfy my hunger. I was quickly greeted, and led through the many options for my veggie burrito and loaded it up with veggies, black beans, brown rice, tortilla strips and some sauces and my big ol burrito baby was wrapped up and off I went. Plus hear that they give free guacamole and you don't need to pay for queso so that's a perk. The moment we entered it was pretty quiet. A few people finishing up their food. A couple observations-tables were messy. Trash was overflowing. No line. Got in line and we were not even acknowledged once. One lady at the counter and one by the rice just having a full conversation about their date the night. I excuse myself and ask if I can order. Which I shouldn't have to do. She sucks her teeth and still processed her conservation about her date. The employees need to be retrained. Help customers first before having conversations. Go clean and wipe down tables before having non work related conversations. Refill the napkin box. Take out the trash. Do something more productive. The food was really Blan to me. No flavor. They had two people working during lunch when hardly anyone was in the restaurant, and they were nearly out of everything. I had to ask numerous times for somebody to start making more food. I waited for 15 minutes and then asked for a free drink because of the weight and they said that they couldn't give a free drink because I had asked them to do extra ingredients. Went into Medford Ma eatery on Friday 1/13 around 5 and store was empty but for 4 employees chatting behind counter. Stood there in plain sight for about 10 minutes before one of employees finally came over and asked what I wanted. As I was telling her what I wanted in my steak bowl she walks back over to other 3 workers and resumes conversation leaving me standing there with my bowl half made. She only conversed with her fellow workers for a couple minutes this time, lucky me, returned very irritated finished my order quickly and walked away again. I really like that thing where you get a hard shell taco wrapped in a soft flour taco skin with a layer of cheese melted between them. Qdoba is the only place I've ever seen with it outside of that one large national chain you know the one I'm talking about. Of course I would rather get it here than that other chain. Many people don't like Qdoba because its sort of like the Panera Bread of Mexican Food and is not authentic enough. I don't really care about authenticness, if it tastes good, I'll eat it. Their burritos are enormous! They have all sorts of fancy burritos to satisfy any taste buds. You can even have your burrito "naked" (without the tortilla). As well as quesadillas and taco salads. I find that every Qdoba location is extremely clean and sanitary. The employees are overly friendly and helpful. Even during the lunch rush, the line moves in a fast and orderly fashion. I love Qdoba. It's fast and delicious. I haven't had a bad burrito there yet, although it sounds like others have. I've recently been turned onto the naked burrito. I like the vegetarian naked burrito, which comes with lime rice, choice of beans and veggies. I add the salsa verde, which gives it enough kick for me, cheese and sour cream. So I was on this cheap kick and decided to stop at the Qdoba in Wellington Circle. I had a great burrito that didn't leak. To me that means quality the sauces are think enough to stay in place and meld together with the other flavors. I had the Poblano Pesto Burrito. Very good even though I wasn't able to taste the almonds or pine nuts in the burrito. The flavors melded nicely. If you are looking for a quick bite and one that keep you filled all day this is a great place to go. Qdoba is that place, for some reason every time I come here it's never too busy, so we make our order and paid. Great thing if your out of work they have beer so a nice cold one is available here. They also have the new soda machines so many many selections to choose from. My burrito was good, not sure if some of the rice was not cooked well but I had some hard spots in it. A few things you should know going in: 1. I prefer Qdoba (affectionately called "The Q" henceforth) over Chipotle. 2. The Q is a corporate fast food chain. 3. It's cheap. Like 2 burritos and a large drink for under $20 cheap. 4. Sometimes when you check in using the Yelp app - you get a freebie chips and queso. (ALL MY DREAMS COME TRUE) That being said: I love the Q. They have queso - which has to be made of baby crack. I understand that it's not authentic. I recognize that it might not actually be made of, what people like to call, "real cheese." I don't care. It's delightful. The burrito is huge and stuffed and wrapped to order. It's not fancy and it's not "real Mexican" - but it's cheap and very tasty. ALSO: They have this tomato-y brown rice that's pretty darn good. The service is what you'd expect for a corporate fast food chain. The people are pleasant enough - but no nonsense. They want to wrap your burrito and then on to the next one. Know what you want before you step in line and get to it. I love this location particularly cause there's always tons of parking.
